3 stars for the layout of the course. If kept in good condition, one of the better public courses in the Beaver/Butler county area. The front 9 is significantly easier than the back which incorporates water on 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15. They are well placed to force longer players to lay up. HOWEVER, the course is in really rough shape. The tee boxes are uneven, bunkers are like a rock, and greens were slowly starting to look burnt because of the hot weather. Many patches of the fairway looked like a desert. Although I had fun, its not a course I'll actively play because of its condition.

This is our family/friends go to place. The staff is wonderful with accommodating large parties to the solo golfer. They have great food, I've never tasted a hot dog so good. The course is well maintained for a course open to the public. You can tell the people who regularly go-to this course give back and help keep the course in excellent condition. I prefer this course and highly recommend it. It's fun and laid back vs the over priced, snobby club courses.

Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Layout...

Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Layout of the course is okay the fairways are tight on the front and on a busy day it s like a war zone out there with balls flying everywhere. There s more dirt than grass in the fairways and you can expect your ball to bounce/roll forever because the ground is like concrete. I was very disappointed in this golf course and if I could get my money back I would. I understand it s been a hot and dry summer but other courses in the area don t look like this, do they not have sprinklers? The greens actually aren t bad tho compared to the rest of the course. Overall it seems like they don t care about the course and it s a total waste of money so save your time and money and golf somewhere else.

This is about the Watering Hole Restaurant. I haven't played the course yet. Food is very good. Staff is friendly. Nice atmosphere too... the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that an order of toast with breakfast should be 2 slices not one.... (my own pet peeve) and occasionally it's a little slow. This is mostly on busy days when possibly another server would help. Not terrible though.....it's worth the trip.

The course was absolutely awful, and the staff seems to not want anyone to enjoy themselves. The course needs works, and the staff needs a large attitude change. Not worth the stop. Should ve gone to Strawberry Ridge.

Reading the reviews about the course not being in good shape might possibly come from the rumors I've heard about them selling to a developer. Perhaps they quit caring about/for the course? I've played here many times, not the best course around but I never had complaints about it either. They are for sure the most accommodating course I have ever went to without a tee time!

First time there, and it is a nice public course! Not quite manicured as a country club or municipal course, but roughs not too rough, fairways well defined. Greens are really fast! Not as burned out as other courses in the area. Everything is fairly straight, and trees don't get in the way unless you put them in the way :). HOWEVER, the back 9 is full of water! I swear, you go over the same pond 2 or 3 times. Holes 10 thru 14 or 15 have water traps that are in play...you have to go over it. 18 has water to the right that is not really in play unless you insist on hooking the ball to the right. Everything is clean. Carts in good shape. Cart paths on most of course. Didn't spend much time in the pro shop, but looks like they got everything you need. Don't think they sell clubs or do grips, but not positive. They have a bar and restaurant, but didn't try those out. Maybe next time.
