We rented a bus for my 40th birthday to the NC wineries. We were referred by another limo company because the one company we wanted was full on our date. Upon speaking with the owner Allan, it sounded like this company would be honest, good deal and had confidence this would be a good company to work with. When we walked onto the bus, it was nice and cool. Then about 15 minutes into the drive we were sweating. The AC did not work in the back of the bus.
20 minutes away from our first stop, we smelled burning rubber and thankfully we had a friend who encouraged the driver to pull over because most likely the bus has a broken belt.
My husband called the owner and he said he would see what he could do. The bus company didn t have any other solution as we stood on the side of the road in the heat. The bus company didn t have any other means of transportation either.
The driver asked us to get back on the bus and we would chance it to our next stop. (I have picturzes to prove the broken down bus and all of us on the aide of the road if needed).
We road the rest of the trip, without air and the bus company sent out a mechanic who fixed the issue but we sweated the rest of the trip. The owner gave us a $100 discount after my husband complained to the driver. We do not believe this was a sufficient discount. It was embarrassing for my husband and I for our friends to be in a bus without air and expensive. This was a HUGE disappointment and do NOT recommend this company. We understand mechanical issues can be unforeseen, but another vehicle should of been sent or a substantial refund.
