Rooms are great and we were able to check in early at no cost. We really enjoyed the pools even though the lazy river was very crowded and guests were not very cool about sharing the available floaties. Not a fan of people being able to smoke by the pools. Casino had a non smoking area though Good options for food and good service. Only issue we had was when trying to get breakfast at the Cafe, there was a line and took about 20 minutes to get seated even though there were lots of open and clean tables.

Nice casino. It is my first time seeing a Harrahs casino in funner, ca. The only harrah casinos that I hear that is advertised is in Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Las Vegas. Those are the ones that I hear about, but now in Northern, Ca there is a harrahs now in Ione ca near jackson ca.

We arrived on Friday afternoon to begin a nice Lab...

We arrived on Friday afternoon to begin a nice Labor Day weekend. As we approached the hotel we saw smoke billowing from the building. When we got out of our car in the parking garage we heard someone saying something about a fire. We had to walk through the casino to get to the check-in counter. A loud recording was telling everyone to leave the building and lights were flashing. No one seemed concerned. Once we got to the front desk the woman checking us in said the fire was out, but the lights were still flashing and the announcement kept playing. We left the building to avoid getting a migraine from the flashing lights. Once it stopped they opened the elevators and we went to our room. The room was very nice. We were on the 15th floor and could see firemen climbing onto the roof which didn't make us feel very comfortable. At least 6 firemen got on the roof and approached the area where the fire had been (in a kitchen). As they poked the roof, smoke came out. They sprayed it with a fire extinguished. This happened a few times and then it seemed they thought it was out. We proceeded to the pool. We were unable to get a seat at the swim up bar so we sat at the other side of the bar. Immediately many bees flew around us and the bartenders. The bartenders said not to worry about them. I worried about them because I'm allergic to them. I had to move to a location away from the bees while my husband ordered food and drinks. About this time the fire lights and audio recording started again so he was told all kitchens were closed (again). We hadn't eaten lunch because our plan was to eat there--at the pool. We also had a hard time charging our drinks to our room because we didn't have our id. We've never been to a resort where we were guests and had to show id to charge to our room. Since the fire alarm was ringing again, all people were cleared from the gambling floor and they all came out to the bar area! Our relaxing afternoon turned out to be nothing like that. Once the alarm was turned off (again) we tried to order food from the bar. We were told it was too late to order food because it was 5:15pm. We would have to go inside. We did go inside and ate. We then went to a show (Norm Macdonald and Colin Quinn) which was the reason we booked a night in the first place. Norm Macdonald was so wasted he couldn't remember what he had planned to say. It was pathetic and unprofessional. A lot of people got up and left. Fortunately Colin Quinn was quite good but we paid to see 2 comedians, not one! After the show we went to our room and tried to order room service. It was 11:15pm and we were told it would take an hour to get food! So, my husband went downstairs to get something and bring it back to the room. He returned just shy of an hour later with a sandwich. He said the lines were very long because of the kitchen fire earlier. Suffice to say we did not have the experience we were expecting on many levels. I suppose if you got when there isn't a fire and you aren't expecting to get the show you paid for, you will have a nice experience there. Make sure you bring your id to the pool--something they should have told us when we checked in.

They renovated most of the hotel, but still feels a bit dated in some areas. Coming on a weekday is a bit of a drag, as it's way too far of a crazy trek from civilization to go out for any area/ local activities. If you're not gambling or eating your 3 square meals at their more than decent buffet, choose lodging closer to San Diego for your entertainment getaway

The buffet is very good with fresh fruit and many different stations, sushi, mexican, chinese, italian, etc. The deserts are delicious. Periodically, the service can be improved. I would recommend this buffet and is reasonably priced.

Harrah resort is quite a drive for me because I'm coming from Orange County, California . After checking into the hotel, I received a text from Ivan asking me if I needed assistance to text him. I felt like I had my own concierge. The rooms are very nice and clean. I had a great view of the pool area. The king size bed is very comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows... I got a great night sleep. The bathrooms are very spacious. I had awesome stay.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. But not much around the resort. Food was decent at best. Few restaurants like smash burger (not bad), streak house was a bit overpriced for the quality but was probably the best meal we had. Also the Buffett looked better than it was.

Love Harrahs! Its very relaxing! Loved the lazy pools! It wasn't crowded at all when we went! The room was clean! The buffet is the only thing I have to complain about. The regular line wouldn't move because as soon as a table would free up they just pass the "casino members" ahead instead of alternating.

Went there Friday night thinking it would be a nice dinner and play some games. I was wrong. The food at the buffet was old some even taste s little past its freshness date! I had prime rib some soup they called mashed potatoes and i tried a crab leg just to see if they were fresh, i was dissapointed. Then i went back for more, i tried the pozole soup. It tasted like it was yesterdays soup the homeny wasold and soggy, the egg rolls tasted rotten as well as the fried rice. For being a big Casino they sure do fail in the kitchen. I wont return. The table games were ok just ok. The slots were good altho i didnt win a dam thing

Harrah's has been my go-to whenever I want to take a day to just have fun. Of course, the casino is always a blast, but this resort is also great fun for non-gamblers as well. There is an excellent spa, great shopping, a variety of delicious restaurants, and the famous lazy river. If you're staying overnight, you can expect a spotless room complete with the best showers I've experienced with a hotel, and excellent service. Its location is also great; just off of Valley Center's main road and within a half hour drive to the beach, Legoland, and the Dan Diego Zoo Safari Park.

Nice place to get away and I mean away! It's in the middle of nowhere. Friendly workers only thing negative is that while you're gambling they only serve you 1 drink at a time while all Casinos serve you 2 at a time.

Visit Harrah's often and always have a positive experience. Rita's Cantina has great food and Sean is an excellent server. The premises are super clean. Casino floor employees are always friendly and the table games I like to play are always open. Harrah's is a place I return to again and again.
