Harrah's Casino & Hotel Review

The employees were extremely rude! They don't give comps and they don't payout!

Ridiculous that it costs about $400 to stay there when they know full and well that people staying there are also planning to spend money at the casino AND buy outrageously priced drinks.... this place is a total money gouge, commissioned by the county (since it is the only location to purchase alcohol), and extorts the public for it. For the total price you would pay for a trip to stay, play, and drink, you might as well buy a $300 plane ticket to Las Vegas and have the luxury. This is a racket where they know they are the only providers and extort and gouge customers who know no better since it s the only close casino to many people.

For the total money you will spend here, you can go to Vegas, have comped drinks, a much better time, and spend the same amount.

Odds are very bad, lost last six visits, considering not coming anymore.

Hard to win and it's a very long walk from hotel to casino

So I'm going to give you some advice and it's up to you to make your decision after that. I've been to many Casinos across the country and I can tell you that this Casino's slot machines DO NOT!! pay out well. I lost quite a bit of money playing them but won it all back at the Blackjack table. You can win money playing Blackjack but you won't win much playing those slot machines because most of the machines they have here are old machines compared to Vegas, New Orleans and other areas I've been to so don't even waste your time on them. So there's a buffet inside this Casino and they charge 30 dollars a piece to eat there. Take my advice and DON'T pay to eat in there because the food is not good at all, eat before you even go there because it taste's like a ten dollar buffet to be honest with you. It's a pretty good size buffet but none of it is good, you've been warned. Other than that it's a pretty nice place.

I've been there quite a couple times with a friend and we both like it. especially if you want to go to win money.;)

The 8th wonder of the world....no honestly this place is great, tons of slot machines, great food selection and nice poker room.

Great spot to play, staff was amazing. Only downfall was breakfast.... one line for ALL GUESTS to order from and then wait for over an HOUR for breakfast. The staff handled the angry crowd well but they shouldn't have been out in that position. There are other systems that work well for these types of amenities. This should be amended and staffing recognized for taking the brunt of the complaints

This is tough, I really don t like negativity. This place has what it takes to be appealing, looks great, all the bells and whistles. How ever, when you visit casinos, you hear sounds of people winning , or the excitement of getting close ,from time to time. Unfortunately I never did . Sorry.

Visited Harrah's Cherokee sept.21. Still no luck..the place was pretty crowded for Thursday. Enjoyed going though. Had a good time. There were even enough waitresses to keep you hydrated. Did not visit the new addition. Maybe next time if I receive enough play tickets to make the trip worthwhile.

That is an awesome DJ service and photo booth. we had fun with them also with movie night. I highly recommend everyone to give them a try. Well money well spent. Will hire them again.

Can't breathe inside because there is sooo much smoke!! They need much better ventilation

I guess people who like casinos just like casinos. I don't get it, but I can imagine why people like it.

If there was only more time in a day great time plan to again and maybe stay a night

Everyone in the Hotel from the front desk, to the casino, and the various food and housekeeping service professionals were all very friendly..I mean EVERYONE!! Not one attitude or bad personality..they are very nice here. The hotel is beautiful

Worst casino I've ever been to. Only one I've been to where you have to pay for drinks. Casino and hotel staff were very rude. Layout is too far spread out for convenience.

Spent a few days here gambling it up. The rooms were very clean and the house keep was on point. Overall the staff between the casino and hotel were very professional. It also helps to win a little bit of cash while playing a few games during your stay. I highly recommend the Harrah's, if you are looking for a great get away.

can you get any lower....first I didn't lose I broke even, so this is not about that....but....the comps are non existent, every other casino, gives comps, cherokee you have to pay for beer. The room was dirty, luckily I bring my own blankets and pillow, I suggest you do as well, Lysol, Lysol, Lysol!!! Definitely bloody nose, the air quality at cherokee is very poor, need many more vents!!! It takes at least 45 minutes to get a waitress/host to get you a drink, even when you ask a dealer or pit person it still takes forever. You cant even get a tea for free, unless you are top tier...if you do the math that means spending more than four hundred thousand per year at the casino...really, like you, I work for a living! Enough bitchin, if you go three miles up the road, you can't beat the view!

Very clean, well run, and great host for WSOP.. Good poker room but too high rake.

It cost $11 for WiFi where the surrounding hotels have it for free.

Great place minus the smoking atmosphere. They do have a nonsmokers area.

This place is so fun. Drinks are pricy but thats to be expected. The Ruths Chris was amazing. Again, its pricy your looking at 150 to 200 just for 2 people but well worth it you will eat every bite.. but after that 200 dinner, the first machine i went too i hit and won that money back. So it was a great at Harrahs

It was great. Food was great. The Staff was great. Had a great time. The Karaoke band is amazingly talented. The food is superb at three of the different restaurants and service was friendly.

We had so much fun!! Its very Covid 19 friendly with the social distenceing ..plenty of sanitizer ..temperature checks ..

Traveled from Georgia for a girls day trip. Had a blast. We plan to do it again soon!

I didn't really stay here but this is probably the only few decent places in Cherokee for staying, eating, and enjoying. A good place to spend your evening after hiking Great Smoky Mountains.

A pleasant drive from North Georgia. Ample parking and a huge casino with live games and hundreds of fun machines.

Gamble is so bad for everybody.Goverment should close all of them.

Casino was nice but had poor selection of slots. Very few drink servers present. The atmosphere was dimly lit. Overall it is ok for a quick stop but not a high quality casino.

I enjoyed the casino. The sandwiches are delicious in the food court. The buffet does not open until 4:00.

The location is nice, it's a little secluded but I like it that way. I stayed in the Creek Tower where everything was recently built so needless to say things were clean and fancy. The overall staff is great, you might catch one on a bad day but I was pleased. Also the restaurants inside are very good.

Love the casino! It is such fun! Busy on Saturday nights though. Weekdays or earlier in the day is best to avoid crowds. Still awesome!

Large casino floor and many food options. You have to buy your own drinks and they at $6+.. The slots were very tight which was pretty bad and they didn t have any machines that caught our eyes. Decent amount of the newer style slots though which was nice to see. Overall we might go back but pretty unlikely given it s a 4 hour drive.

Harrahs casino was big and nice. We didn't win but we will be back

This was my second visit and I have to say the comps are absolutely ridiculous. We arrive on Saturday evening and I played (table games)for several hours and then went back on Sunday and played several more hours ask for some comp towards a buffet and was told I had accumulated $1.00. This place is so different on comps as oppose to Tunica and nowhere close to Lula Mississippi. I played more on Monday and decided not to even use the players card and when the dealers would ask for it I said not using one because the casino don t comp and most agreed and some even said the casino is the worst on comps. We are talking some as small as a dinner buffet.

WE love it here; we visit 15-20 times per year. I guarantee that you will NOT find a better hospitality & customer service driven facility, among the Caesars/Harrahs family. From the hotel/casino to the good variety of restaurants/shopping, the experience has been unmatched. Now with the Family Entertainment Center, we take the kids sometimes & they have blast too! Someone should let Caesars/Harrah's in Vegas know, that they should be grateful to have the folks in Cherokee, NC...flying their flags!

I visited the casino. The casino was clean and in good condition. The service was good from the slot attendants. I was not happy that I was not able to use the parking garage. They were renivating most of it and only let their vip' s use the garage. I had to park in the parking lot and be
shuttled. It was raining out and I was not impressed that this was that way they handked their guests. It will be quite a long time until I feel that I want to ho back.

Not as good as best bet in Jacksonville, but still fun

The staff was polite. Our room was not up to par. The furniture was tattered and worn. The sheets were dirty on day of check in. I had to go to the front desk to ask that our room be cleaned as I called housekeeping and no one came. Very disappointed with our stay here.You have to pay for your drinks even though your playing the slots or tables. If your a guest you have to pay 12.00 for Valet parking. We are advacate casino and resort goers.The Buffett is not open on Tuesday and Wednesday's. We will not be returning here.

I have never been I was excited to see what it was all about but after reading those reviews I'd rather go to Atlantic city I go to win money fairly not have my money taken by tight slots.

Stupid Casino sends you comped room coupons and then when you call to book a month in advance they say they have no rooms at all for an entire month and to call back.. Really annoying. Don't offer something you can't provide.

Great variety of table & slot games. Clean fun atmosphere. Although, I hardly ever win there !!

It was GREAT!! One of my favorite things use to be looking forward to that comfortable bed with then great sheets but something has changed. Its not what it once was with the great rooms. Something slipped a little bit. Not too bad though, it was nice.

Paid over $300 for a room that was supposed to have 2 queen beds. Arrived and it was a king bed with a very uncomfortable pull out couch (with no linens). Woke up for our daughter's gymnastics meet to a shower that didn't work. They extended our checkout time to 1 pm. Got back to our room only to find out our room keys no longer worked. This kind of service is unacceptable for a room in the $300-$500 price range.

Like the casino overall, but whoever the security guard is that was working at the second floor escalators near the old poker room around 3:25pm on (9/24/20) was extremely rude. I was just walking with my husband to get on the escalators and he just decided to seek me out and got within 2 feet of my face and talked to me like I was a 5 year old. He seemed to have control issues which could cause more problems for future guests. Anything that he felt he had to say could have been said in a more professional and courteous manner. We were going to eat at Ruth s Chris and play at the casino but decided to leave because of how rude he was. The rest of the staff we encountered was friendly.

Had fun...even if we didn't win...machines didn't give us any "Bonus" which makes it so much more enjoyable.

Be prepared to go home broke and everything is expensive. Even had to pay for WiFi. Most hotels provide free WiFi when you stay there. And then it wasn't working this morning

It's better than River valley, it doesn't stink of cigarettes as much.
