Nice environment and really good food, but the waitor we had had something to be desired. Maybe next time if they have new staff maybe have someone shadow them for a while before they are by themselves.

Service was not very good. He waitress was slow and more interested in getting ready for closing instead of servicing customers. Fantastic food though!!!! Always is there.
We showed up almost 12pm for lunch. Staff were really nice, all masked. We were sat outside on the deck. Food was middling, fries a bit soggy. Seating distance was...not 6ft. We weren't really finished, but left because of the amount of people.
We had Charlie as the waiter. The experience was unreal. One of the best waiters we ever had and the food was fantastic. Our favorite restaurant when we are on vacation and I am in the catering business for the last 50 years. Great experience, keep up the good work. Jack Sinnitz. Bethlehem Pa
We sat on the deck with a large group. While we appreciated the ability to sit together, sitting outside during sunset is brutal. Hot and bright as heck. Food was great, waiter got the order right and food came out quickly. Buffalo chicken dip was outstanding. We split the two crabcakes dinner, and the crab cakes were very tasty.
We (and our friends who visit O.C. area) always enjoyed your good food here, wish they could expand the docking for boat parking sometimes in the future...for those who complained about the long wait, don't forget the COVID -19 environment. We are lucky to have some restaurants provide dine in seating (with social distancing/mask mandate) many still only offer take-out, and many smaller business still struggle to stay open, or not open at all. Many businesses have trouble hiring workers... ...so enjoy the summer while it is still here, and adapt.
Two stars only because of the service we received. The server was great. The food not so much. We got the all you can eat crab legs. They use to be the best in ocean City and worth the $50 per person price. This time they where small smelled fishy, dry and not sweet like before. We both had 2 plates of the subpar crab legs. We where fed up and where about to leave when the server said they just put a nice new batch in, so we thought maybe the next would be back to the normal, they where the same dry and small. We paid our bill and left. I sent harpoon Hanna's a message via Facebook. They did contact me back straight away, but trying to say the crab legs where the same as always and our problem was they where over cooked. And asked for a date that we would come back and they would ensure the crab legs would not be over cooked. I explained to them I was not after anything but only wanted to tell them about our experience. And told them the fishy smell doesn't come from over cooking it comes from poor quality crab legs. They did not respond to me after. I use to love this place and was my go to place for great crab legs. Now not so much. We can go to embers and get same Crab legs and lot of other food for same price if not less. Harpoon Hanna's please stop putting profits over quality and start serving the best crab legs again and ditch the junk.
Relaxed place. Right on the water. Indoor and outdoor seating. Clean bathroom. They let us know up front they were short staffed - but still managed to not really make us wait any more than any other restaurant would normally have. I really liked the seafood potato skins and broiled scallops. We were not impressed with the kids pizza, but very impressed with the grace with which they happily replaced it - and my 4 year old loved the replacement - shrimp, with mac and cheese. Extremely impressed with the captain's mai tai - especially that it actually had alcohol in it (in my experience, most places' drinks end up so diluted they are not worth the extra money you pay for an "alcoholic" drink). We will definitely go here again. =)
Foid was good. Overpriced. Service was lousy. Our pager didn't work and they did nothing to find us after 50 mon we checked in and told is the pager broke. They don't give you their signature coconut muffins unless you know enough to ask.
Been going there for over a decade. Best place in town for Prime Rib, and any of their dishes involving the Crab Imperial. Best Seafood skin's in town, and I love the view from the Tiki Bar. I've had the pleasure of calling that place my office for awhile.
We were in the area for one week and came here two nights in a row. Great water view, great service and outdoor seating. Someone comes around with bread and muffins too.
Been coming for years and this year was the best in quite some time. Crab dip, harpoon burger, and crab imperial this year for us. I'm fat and didn't go home hungry that's for sure.
Our family comes here every year for at least one dinner during our beach vacation. This year we visited on a Sunday evening. Crowds were light and we were seated right away. Our waitress did a great job and our food came quickly and was prepared well.
A fifth star would be due if there were just a few other non seafood items of note on the menu. Not everyone likes seafood.
Steak was bland as heck, I could only eat 3 bites and that was with steak sauce (which I never use) but my mom did like the crab legs so thats one nice thing
Was told 35-40 minutes for the wait. Over an hour later and never got seated. Terrible diesel smell all throughout the restaurant too. Did not stick around for dinner...myself, along with about 50-60 other people left and will not be coming back. Terrible experience.
We had a great night! Our waitress Jamie was absolutely amazing, she has a superb personality! We will be requesting her every time we go. Everything came to the table perfectly! Jamie you truly are an amazing person! Thank you!
We had the lobster and it was very good, but it was not warm, baked potatoe could of been allot hotter. I don't blame the wait staff , the wait staff was very busy in the bar area. Management needs to extra people on during lobster month.
I've been to Harpoon Hanna's a few times in the last couple of years and my experiences have always been great. Tonight was different. We waited 45 minutes to be sat, which was expected, but once sat at our table, we were sitting for over 20 minutes before our waiter approached us. I got up to ask four times for someone to get our drink order. Our waiter Zach was awesome once we got someone to acknowledge us. The apps were good but dinner was not. All staff had their mask below their chin, and when we asked our waiter to put his mask up it didn't help. We saw all kitchen staff with no mask as well. No precautions taken. I will never be back.
Just had our annual beach vacation dinner here. What is usually an amazing crab dinner, we were very unpleasantly surprised they raised the All-You-Can-Eat Crab Leg dinner from $32 to $50!!!!! That is crazy!!!! They were very watery and definitely not as good as they have been in the past! We will be finding a new restaurant in the years to come! Lost our business!
I wish I could review the food, we couldn t get service though. We were told if we got a table in the bar area a server would be with us shortly, once we waited at the bar for an hour and the server and the bartender were rude to our party we left. The half of our party that stayed gave poor reviews of the service and food once they were finally seated in the dining area.
Little disappointed last night upon waiting for a table for 4. It was about 5 pm. I understand it was a busy weekend to eat out because of Valentine's Day. Business was quite brisk. This also was not our 1st visit; we have been numerous times over the past 10 years, or so. I most enjoy the deck seating when it is in season. The view alone is a winner!!
Anyway, 2 of our party were there inside before 5, and 2 arrived a short time later, and upon arrival, at 5:10, after my husband waited already, he was then given a buzzer, so there was more wait time.
A group of patrons passed us, as we waited along the left wall, they were going to the dining room being sat by a server who asked the one lady in the group, "Do you want to be sat now?" Meaning others were still needing to arrive.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the seating work the same for all patrons? Maybe the others had a reservation? ----- I don't know if those are accepted. I don't see that after doing a quick website search. My apology then, if so.
The last comment I want to share is the hostess, who was wearing a red and black flannel shirt, that sat us, who had no experience with communication skills. We would've been just fine if she pointed out our table and didn't see us to it!
Service was v-e-r-y slow to begin. It was like 9 minutes we sat without even an acknowledgement.
Things did get better, finally, our server greeted us with the standard basket of muffins and sliced raisin bread. All in all, there were no food complaints, just the seating and lack of communication during seating, so that is the reason for 3 out of 5 stars. For an award winning restaurant and being named a top 100 restaurant, at one time in the hospitality industry, that level of care should be shown to each and every customer.
I'm showing our entree choices with pictures, so you know we truly did dine there last night. For starters, we ordered the crab pizza. It came with a side of (shake) seafood seasoning. Food included seafood linguine and broiled scallops, sides of mac n cheese and caesar salad, garden salad and a wedge. The garden salad was primarily lettuce, unfortunately, pretty bland. Those who had the others were quite pleased.
Our main meals were tasty. Definitely a filling meal for the 4 of us. We had leftovers to bring home.
Thanksgiving dinner there has been my new place to indulge with the food being plentiful and you can't beat the price. Service is good, you wouldn't be disappointed.
The food was fantastic, our waitress was great even though she dropped things like three times LOL it just was not her day but she was so cheerful and helpful that we didn t mind. My family is slightly high maintenance and I own that So More
Walked in, hostess told us a high top would be the fastest way to be seated. Me and my family sat down and waited to be served. After 30min, we talked to the bar tender she gave us all a menu. After about 20 more min, we talked to the hostess again and she basically said tough luck.
Had dinner with family here. Beautiful view, good food. The waitress not so good. Ended up paying someone else's bill and the other person paid mine. Had a nice time while we were there. Definitely will go back.
Beautiful place and atmosphere. The food was good. My sweet potato fries came out cold but they fixed them in about 6 minutes and they were great. Will go back.
Had drinks in your outdoor ticki that 1st around tasted watered down. Seafood skins were good but didnt have enough shrimps. The lady Cloe who served us was real polite and pretty. Would come back but get my buzz on beforre I go next time
Great experience all around. Our server Maggie was outstanding by far one of best servers we have had during out trip. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were very filling. Prices compared to portions was a good value. Something for everyone on this menu. The bread girl delivering fresh bread and muffins throughout the night was a nice unique experience, the muffins and bread were delicious. Restaurant was clean, staff were polite and professional. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to OC.
Scenic and lively. Very busy and active with views of the water. Easily accessible off Rt 54 in Fenwick Island. Tasty food, I'd call it mid-level. Good choices. Delicious prime rib, recommend ordering medium rare; it melts. Bread girls (they walk around offering 1 piece of bread per diner from a variety basket) sparse and only came by once, with limited choices. Kids liked it and was an enjoyable meal.
Harpoon Hanna's is a great restaurant if you are looking for a calmer atmosphere than the OC boardwalk but are still craving quality seafood. It is located right on the bay and many guests seem to enjoy the outdoor Tiki bar. I have only eaten inside, but am impressed with the food and price for their selections. Last year, my family was feeling fatigued from doing the seafood buffets and went to Harpoon Hanna's instead. We found that it was a good alternative to the buffets as we could order a quality dish and the price was reasonable for what we ordered. One person is also allergic to seafood; she said it felt nice to order a meal and not feel like she was wasting her time at a seafood buffet. I got a penne pasta dish with crab. I felt that it could have had more crab mixed in with the pasta. I did sample other family members' dishes and they seemed to have a better ratio of seafood. I would recommend Harpoon Hanna's to anyone visiting Ocean City. They also have some great water activity rentals near the restaurant such as SUP boards and kayaks.
We have been coming here for as long as I can remember and this time was extremely disappointing and probably the last time I'd spend my money here. When seated the bun "lady" never came to our table and while I tried many times to flag her down .... I ended up going over to her and asking if she could come to our table. After her lame excuse stating she thought someone else was taking care of it, she never came back to our table and walked past us at least 4 times and never asked again if we wanted anything. I had to ask her again for another muffin and her ignorance was very obvious. She shouldn't deal with the public - rather she should be hidden since her ability at customer service is awful at best. We had a phenominal waiter, however they are not very familiar with the menu. I didn't hear one waiter know the vegetable of the day?? My husband's food was not hot and scallops still had muscles attached, father's seafood still had shells baked in and did not smell good and my veggies were so mushy they didn't hold up well in the Primavera. I think speedy service here is not a good thing when you lack quality food. Highly disappointed and stomach aches to boot!
We have been going to harpoon Hanna s for several years when we come for the car show. Last night, 10/12/19, we went with some friends and told them how good the food was and we have never had a bad experience. I must say, last night wasn t a great experience. We were seated and the girl was walking around with the bread basket, she gave us our choice but no butter with any of it. Not a big deal. Our waiter was less than stellar. Not real personable And took quite a while to get our second round of drinks. One of our friends got beer and said it was warm so he asked for a bottle the second time but he received another glass of warm beer. My husband got prime rib and he said it was cold, I got the prime rib Mediterranean and it was good. When we went to pay our bill, the waiter had screwed up our orders on each other s checks. I guess he straighten that out, by that time we just wanted to pay the bill and get out. I m not really sure I would visit harpoon Hannas again. I guess we ll see till next year
Worst place I've ever ate at! Horrible service, empty drinks all night, out of everything I tried to order. Place wasn't even busy! Haven't seen my waiter all night! Last time I will ever be here, and sadly this was a family vacation tradition.
I would like to rate Harpoon Hanna's cuisine, however I wasn't lucky enough to try any of it. I would love to comment on how Harpoon Hanna's water was crisp and refreshing, but I didn't receive any of that, either. I would enjoy telling you how delightful and helpful Harpoon Hanna's servers are, but I didn't have the pleasure of meeting any of them. After 35 minutes, no one had even stopped by to introduce themselves, let alone take a drink or dinner order. As we sat, we saw 4 other parties seated and promptly served, despite arriving 10 to 30 minutes after we did. After being incredibly patient, we decided to take our business elsewhere. There are many nice restaurants in the area, save yourself some time and frustration and enjoy a nice meal somewhere else.
We enjoyed lunch at Harpoon Hanna s. It was a cooler Thursday, not very crowded. The view from our seats was lovely, right on the water. We could watch a few boats maneuver up-to the dock. The drinks are cold and area clean. Our first table was very wobbly so we asked to move. They have a very nice lunch menu with several sea food and non sea food items. They also accommodate special diets with gluten free and vegetarian options. We tried the prime rib sandwich. I ordered mine with no peppers. It was very good. The helping of side fries filled a big bowl. Great for the price. We found their restroom clean and roomy and they have ample parking. They have a friendly staff. And T-shirt sales. We didn t go to their tiki bar but it looked fun. I have for years and will continue to recommend Harpoon Hanna s.
Visited Harpoon Hannah's on Sept. 16. Was there 2 years ago and had a wonderful meal. This time...not so much. All 6 of our meals arrived barely warm, room temperature at best. The shrimp and lobster were overcooked and rubbery. Crabcakes were hard and dry. The vegetable of the day was green beans and apparently they had been cooking all day. Along with being cold, they were mushy. A very disappointing meal to end our beach vacation. If it were not for the coconut muffins it would be 1 star.
Service was rough. Might have been because the place was so busy. Had empty drinks on my table for most of the time. Lemons wedges with stickers on them were put in our drinks. Wife and I ordered the fresh fish. I've had better fish frozen from Aldis. Was way over cooked and dried out. Fresh fish usually stands out with a terrific fresh flavor. Our fish was dry and bland. Only reason I added a second star was that our baked potatoes were delicious. I will not return to this restaurant nor would I recommend it.
