They have anything and everything at a great price! The staff is always so helpful and always guide me in finding exactly what I need. If they don t have it, they will tell you where you can find it. A+ service!

This store usually has whatever a home owner could need for your typical 'around the house' repair jobs. Prices are marked up on a lot of items (as compared to the competition) however, I have been surprised a few times when they had the best prices on some thing I needed at a time where the lower price really helped my budget. If this store were open beyond bankers hours, it would grow in profits and reputation.

I'm not taking any star(s) away from the review for this, but it is noteworthy that after having been a customer here for many, many years I made some purchases one day, probably about 60 dollars worth of items, that ended up being split into 2 separate bags by 'Mr personality', I ended up getting to where I was doing a number of home repair jobs, only to realize that apparently I was only handed one of the two bags of merchandise, My luck being as it is, the bag that was left contained the more costly items, roughly 40 or so of total 60 dollars in merchandise.

Being not even a mile down the road I hopped in my car and returned to the store ASAP. I approach the counter and the guy asks what can he help me with, I nicely explained the situation, thinking for sure the bag with my merchandise would be laying on, or behind, the counter.

The guy says (not verbatim but very close) "I'm sorry I haven't seen any bags left behind." I decided to show him my receipt, hoping that being a long time customer, not to mention I was just face to face with him making THIS purchase approx.30 minutes prior, he might meet me in the middle possibly.

That didn't happen, instead he said "there isn't anything i can do." I feel like this says something about business, and should definitely be considered when deciding to do business here.

Wow. Amazing service, selection and overall "feel" of the store. This is what a Home Improvement store is supposed to be like, I feel ashamed I never visited this place sooner. Plus the renovations to their Lawn & Garden department adds another dimension to the store.

It's not the selection or the location that makes me love this store, it's all the wonderful people there that make you feel welcomed and informed. They help you any way they can, each person would give you the shirt off their back if it meant you were satisfied. Now that doesn't mean you can go in and harass them for a deal because they this isn't a chain where the owners live in Texas, the owners are usually running the floor, or operating a forklift and even driving a fully loaded semi to a building site. Love them or hate them, their service is impeccable.

I just purchased a DeWalt cordless drill at Harpeth True Value Home Center in Frankin. I appreciate the fact that I did not have to look very far to find a knowledgeable friendly employee to help me decide which one one was right for me. Finding someone to help you, let alone someone competent, is almost always a challenge at the big box stores. Whether you're looking for tools hardware, building materials, rental equipment, lawn & garden, paint, patio furniture, Glass cutting, grills, screen window repair, or practically anything the chain stores have, you can find it there.

Awesome Hardware store! I go there all the time. They have an outdoor gardening & lumber section. I'm handicapped and parking is right up front. They load heavy items for you and after a few visits they know who you are!

Avoid this place. staff is clueless and rude. store doesn't sell all there merchandise everyday. if you are a serious contractor dont wast your time here. FYI- avoid at all cost on Sunday. GO TO HOME DEPOT. They sell 100% of there merchandise EVERYDAY. this place is a joke.

I have always enjoyed going into True Value it's more of a family atmosphere and the people are quite nice

This place has everything one needs for spring planting, flowers and maintenance. Easy loading into vehicle and the kindest staff around. This place has just about anything you need.

Amazing people, best deal on lumber... I saved $200 compared to Home Depot and Homedepot does not carry long boards like 18 and HD/Lowe s doesn t carry 14ft boards either... plus these boards are very straight cause they are outside and not inside like HD/Lowe s under AC and when you bring them out to heat they start warping... enjoyed it thoroughly:)

Very helpful hardware store. They special order for me when I find something I need but it is not readily stocked anywhere. I find the staff to be available and knowledgeable. I also pickup online orders there. A more personal touch than the big boxes. I'd use them more than I do, but they are across town from me. They also rent equipment, scaffolding, etc.

I own my own business so for me to leave a review takes a lot. I purchased some parts for a lamp and was checking out when one of the "old, bald" guys asked me about my barber shop and some of the services we offer. I answered his questions, paid, and turned to leave. Just when I got to the door I hear him say " why don't you shut-up". I turned to look at him and when he realized I heard him, he quickly looked to the other clerk and pretended to have a conversation. I walked back, stunned, and asked him if he said something to me. He looked sheepish and said he was speaking to the clerk. I could be wrong. I could have misunderstood. He could have been speaking the truth. But body language and shifting eyes sometimes speak louder than words.

This full service hardware store has everything! They have an outstanding paint section and a great lumber department! They even make keys as well! I was very pleased with the staff's immense knowledge on so many different things, and not the mention the great customer service!

I was looking for some air plants and found the exact ones I wanted.

Hometown care and they have virtually everything you'll need.

My favorite Franklin area garden shop...flowers, gift items, all kinds of mulch, rock, plants, shrubs and trees.

Get out of the big box and feel what real customer service, from real nice folks is like.

It's my "go to". Employees are very knowledgeable about what items they carry and don't carry. I used to go to Lowe's but stopped going because their employees always are nowhere to be found and when you did find one they always looked bummed they have to talk to you. Go to True Value instead. They may not have the volume as Lowes but they have a solid range of stuff and their employees are solid as well.

Best garden center around. Awesome selection of herbs and other plants that you won t find anywhere else. Great service and staff. Very reasonable prices. Super convenient location.

If you are Hispanic, you receive an unpleasant treatment

I live in Illinois, but visit family in Franklin often. My visits usually include 1 or more trips to Harpeth. Love their garden section, and took a car load of plants back to Illinois my last visit. Love the old time small hardware feel, where you find things like the helpful item in my photo.

A very helpful older gentleman have me extremely helpful advice.

Their rental department was very reasonably priced compared to other rental companies... April 21st rented 75 nice white wedding chairs and a 20x20 tent and they delivered and set up tent.. was perfect for our wedding and everything was clean and functional..

Great service, and reasonable prices. Selection not as vast as competitors, but it is worth trying this hardware store first.

True Value has beautiful flowers but their phone service is horrible. You try to call....answering machine that doesn't work or I get someone that has no idea of the merchandise and feels that they are being inconvenienced if they have to go check something out...not a good way to do business.

A great mid sized hardware store..but. the store is well stocked, clean, and the staff knows not only what they have where it is in the store, but how the product is used and makes educated suggestions.
The garden center plant stock is seasonal with limited plants selection. Lumber section will have what you need for any home project.

Very helpful staff that knows how to do stuff, know where things are and are not judging in their demeanor. You might enjoy seeing their garden section where you will find a good selection of plants mostly blooming and these are much more healthy than the ones you see at the big box stores. See you there.

They had herbs we couldn't find elsewhere. Store employees were very helpful.

Really some of the most unmotivated people you will ever meet at this location. If you show up after 5, they start shutting off lights, desperately trying to encourage you to leave. Honestly think a mystery shopper should try stopping in at 5:30 to see how it goes.

i like to shop/buy here because of the knowledgeable staff. I usually have a problem identifying the part or parts I need for an idea I am working on. I explain what I am about and they lead me to the shelf area where the item I need. is located. If I dont understand how to do what I want to do, they take the time to show me. Great bunch of folks.

They close at 5 pm on weekdays. Wish they were open later.

To be sure, this hardware store does have a pretty good selection of tools and basic hardware needs and some of the staff have been friendly and helpful... However, I have had several unpleasant interactions with the gentleman who often times works the cash register on weekdays during the days. He has been short, cold, and unfriendly. On one occasion I went to return a faulty mandrel which I had purchased a few hours earlier. After comparing the mandrel with a new one it was obvious the the part was faulty. After telling the cashier that the part "wasn't working like it should" he sternly told me that "it was a drill and either worked or it didn't" (even though a mandrel is clearly much more than just a drill bit). After showing him the issue he then rudely said "so what you meant to say is that its defective". He for some unknown reason seemed very frustrated with me that I had returned a faulty item and he chose to be condescending instead of helpful and understanding. I love supporting local businesses especially since I own a small business; however, I am choosing to take my business somewhere else where I am more valued.

The item selection was very good and the clearances, but many items were misplaced, which made for confusion at the cash register, and the front cashier was rude.

All the odd little nuts and bolts that you can't even always find at big box. You can even rent a bounce house, fill propane tanks, and get your knives sharpened here.

True value has a friendly local feeling. Many of the staff are quite knowledgeable about their products. They also have a discount for seniors if you ask for it.

The store has most everything, but the folks who check you out are Neanderthals who have absolutely zero personality, barely utter grunts, and should not be in a direct customer situation. Fire them and get folks who smile and who are friendly. I m talking about the guys who are balding...the three of them.

This place is terrible. Everyone there seems miserable. Impossible to get a friendly smile and the staff doesn't respond when they begrudgingly help you. I only shop here when I absolutely have to. I'm trying to be generous by giving them 3 starts.

My church referred us to this store to assist in the relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey victims in Houston. I visited this store about 15 minutes ago (1230p), and walked away disappointed. After I told the cashier why I was there, and asked him how I can donate, he told me to come back tomorrow and ask for Shelly. He had a customer in front of him ready to buy (me) and he told the customer to come back tomorrow. He didn't offer up any other suggestions, and then gave a half-butt apology. Save your dollars and shop elsewhere.

Mr. Charlie is a True Value legend! That man knows and does it all! Great staff, clean store and full of great products. Not to mention they have an amazing selection of nuts and bolts!

Consistently rude and will not help you even after waiting 20 minutes. I only needed a quote on screens and a key and that could not be done that day, per what the manager said.

Neat and clean with an easy to shop layout. They sell chain and cable by the foot as well as prepackaged. They have a lumber yard as well as gardening supplies in their garden center. Almost anything plumbing you would ever need. And their restrooms are always neat and clean as well. Their staff can always give you pertinent advice on the supplies and tools for any project you ask about. They also stock a wide variety of Case brand pocket knives which are great for Birthday and Christmas presents. I have never had a problem finding assistance when I needed it nor have I ever had to wait in line to check out. They always make me feel like I am the most important customer they have waited on that day. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs hardware, lumber or gardening supplies.
