I have VERY fond memories of this library in my high school years in the mid 90's. Was always clean and quiet. Joined the service and haven't been back for 15 years so this will be one of the first places I visit when back visiting my hometown next year. I miss the Valley.

A quiet place to work on projects teach or study in group or alone, much better studying environment than Brownsville library. No eating, drinking, only water allowed, that makes me feel like a place to do my job right. Two thumbs up.

It was my first time to come to this library, it was awesome and peace. They have everything that I like.

Excellent place to check out books and read. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful. We've been going there for years and have always found each one of the programs to be wonderful. Activities for children are Great! The TAG department is the Best!

They help out with everything and they are always so nice never rude...

A place to go where you can do your research, librarians are knowledgeable (ask for Rizzy). Free wi-fi Be prepared- have a mask and they check your temperature.

Always a great customer service experience visiting our Harlingen Public Library. Very nice faces and very easy experience to check out books for my lil girl to AR test at her school.

There is a lady that works downstairs that can be a bit rude but otherwise it's a great place.

Love going to rent movies! Just wish they had a bigger selection but so far it's been awesome!! Also love how the staff are quick to assist helped me make my membership within 5-10 minutes

I love this library! I've been coming here ever since I was a little girl! Computers are awesome, friendly employees and just an awesome environment!

Beautiful patio area with fountains great for relaxing

I was used to the old library but when they built the new one it was better. You can check out books and movies.Keep up the good work.

I love the library. Today I needed to type some documents and then made some copies. Since my printer was broke this is where I end up. This young lady helped me with the printer since I have no idea on how to work it. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Always a pleasure to visit this awesome establishment.

Quiet and no eating in yhe library. Very quiet, much better than Compare Brownsville public library. Study rooms are available to reserve. You can book a reading room for 2 hours.

Needed to renew my card. So glad I went, it was really nice being there. And the staff were so helpful.

One of the best family environments in town. This library goes above and beyond to provide fun and educational events and programs. Its location is prime right next to the city pond.

It sad because some of the people use the computers to play games and not to do research or make a resume

It's in very good condition to check out book taken careful with socialize and masks mandatory limited time for computer but very friendly staff

Went there Thursday morning Oct 13 2016, the woman at the desk was irritated as if she couldn't be bothered ,not helpful at all very condescending . It was my first time there and she was just cold at least have people skills to deal with the public , all though in the back at the other desk there was a very sweet and helpful young lady.But I don't think I'll be going back .

They need to fix the time on google. They close 8 not at 9.

Situated right across from Harlingen's tranquil reservoir, the HPL is by far the most beautiful library in the valley.

It was Horrible because the people in the Tiny Booth next to me WILL NOT Shut UP

Love that our library is still open for book and movie rentals. I know other areas only have curbside and I am glad Harlingen has been able to take precautions and stay open. The staff is always super friendly and helpful when my daughter or I am having some trouble finding a book. Getting a library card with Harlingen also let's you rent books from Libby for ebooks and audiobooks you can use for free. Fantastic app and ages ahead of Axis 360 that other libraries choose.

Quiet atmosphere and very helpful staff when you are looking for a specific author or title.

I remember using their computers to play RuneScape as a kid. Good times. Oh yeah and they have a great library, too.

Library is average. I'm comparing it to the Brownsville library because that is where I use to go before, but I can definitely see the harlingen library hurting for revenue a lot faster than its Brownsville counterpart. Overall, I just fo t the study, so it's what I need.

Well done, wish hours were a bit longer, maybe volunteer help could extend hours, so poorer families could make more use of facilities

So we rented the facility in the public library for a baby shower and were told that it would be open from 12:00 - 2:00pm for decorating and prepping for the event which was going to take place from 2:00 - 5:00. Well we're waiting outside the facility in the parking lot and it's 10 minutes til 1:00 and no show. Not right.

Great selection of books and one of my favorite places in town

It is a wide open area where you can find many great selections of books. It's always very quite, perfect for studying or reading indoors. The staff there are very helpful.

Well laid out and well lit library. The room reservations require at least a month's notice and typically fill up quickly.

It is a great library. It is so big with so many books and usually has events for the public.
