Love this place it's so welcoming. I never come to NYC without spending time here. I always meet people every time I go. Food and drinks and the atmosphere is superb.

I had a pretty uneven dining experience here, but that may be because of extenuating circumstances. When I walked into the restaurant, the manager informed me that the chef had injured himself and dining service was facing a 30-minute delay. I was fine with that, and had a drink while I waited for the food that I'd ordered. The drink was great, the french fries were terrific, and the sandwich was extremely blah.I ordered a cheesesteak that was supposed to come with peppers and onions, but those only appeared on one half of my sandwich (not on one side, the sandwich was cut into two pieces). It seems like a pretty unimpressive way to present a cheesesteak, but given that they were facing an unexpected circumstance, I figure that this may have been an aberration. Although I'd been warned of a wait, the food arrived in a timely manner and I wouldn't have thought anything of the time it took if I had not been warned upon arrival. I'd come back for the fries and drinks alone, but I may try the cheesesteak again in the future, to see if the experience is consistent or if this was just an understandably off day.

One of the best eateries in this neighborhood. The lunch menu is hearty and moderately priced. The burgers are excellent, the chili and corn bread are one of my favorites at lunch time. #harlem #hfb

Nice restaurant, especially for breakfasts and brunches. The decor is modern and cozy, the welcome always at the top. You can hang out there for hours with a coffee, come to work or relax.

I very rarely rate and review, in fact this is my first time doing so! The waiter with an attitude got the order wrong twice and charged us for it. Overpriced, average food and extremely poor service.

Not worth going since they took food off the happy hour.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Heavy pours on the drinks. Definitely overpriced. Beware: you can t split happy hour drinks. If y all get two, you re really getting four.

Looked like a nice spot, so wee tried it for brunch. Went from good to bad. Nice atmosphere, and the menu looked good. The lemon blueberry pancakes were great, but my wife's Eggs Benedict came well undercooked, when she asked for medium. Waitress immediately took them away and said she'd have then redone. Great, however, 10 minutes later, still no eggs, and I was finished my pancakes. Not once did anyone come by to refill our waters or coffees, which had been finished before the pancakes even arrived. 3 staff behind the bar seemed content on chatting, and ignoring everyone else, while one waitress did all the running. At this point we asked for the cheque, still no eggs, and the waitress had the audacity to tell us that she went ahead and took the eggs off the bill. Well, I would hope so, since we never got the dam eggs!

Super cute spot. Went here late on a Friday, it was pretty calm & there weren t a lot of people. The food was great. Deff would return.

The food was great! The fries are delicious! So crunchy and perfectly salted! The waiter/bartender is very attentive!

I think if I could I would give HFB a half point higher. The food was generally pretty good, but it's more how nice the staff is and the feel of the place (granted at the hour I was there when it first opened at 11am on a Saturday). I enjoyed it as a cool spot with good food to sit and talk with friends. It's a close space overall but I liked it. We didn't try any drinks but, if it must be said, the bartender was a very good looking guy

Harlem Food Bar, in my opinion, was not the best. Absolutely loved the employees but the flavor of the food was not good.
What was bought:
Burger: Meat was not seasoned...
Frys: Frys were very very good!
Chicken Sandwich: very dry and not seasoned
Pancakes: Thick and not very good
*Would not recommend, but wouldn't tell someone not to eat here. You decide If Its your taste*

Horrible the food was aweful they gave us burnt brussel sprouts, the waitress looked at them and said she would not even eat them because they were literally burnt to a crisp!! The liqour was cheap and the waitress who looked like she just got out of bed(pajamas and a messy bun) over charged us $30 and tried to cover it up, then when asked to explain how she charged us an extra $30 she apologized and said the money should be back in 3 business days. I HAVE NEVER had this happen. Get it together HFB get it together!

Wish I could tell you what the food here tastes like but unfortunately even after waving the waiter down and waiting 10 minutes in plain sight, I couldn't even get a menu. Other than the lousy service the place seemed very loud and the people in it exceptionally obnoxious. But that might have just been a Sunday Brunch after effect.

I was there couple weeks ago, ordered fried calamari, chicken wings and french fries.

*fried calamari tasted fishy and received it in little bowl, little amount! ( as a former sous chef, I definitely know how to prep it. Pls don t tell me bc of it is seafood! )

*chicken wings came to table as 6 pcs. $12 for 6 pcs wings? Really? Wasn t tasty at all! Was not special wings, it was weird tasted wings and $12 for 6 pcs.

*french fries was normal amount. Just ok.

* me and my wife got our drinks, good thing they can t mess up Corona ! Otherwise..

*I ended up paying around 50 dollars, I was hungry when I got there, and I left hungry from this spot!

Very good address in Harlem. Randomly discovered at the corner of a street. And really not disappointed, excellent Benedict eggs and Mexican dish also with a top guacamole.
Super nice and fast service. The waiter fills you with the sprite glass a second time without billing it. We always appreciate small gestures;)

This place takes great care in the taste and quality of it's food. I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. I bring all my friends and out of town guests here to enjoy a lively crowd and great food!!

Always great service here. We have been a number of times. Food is too expensive by a few dollars. Without their happy hour specials, everything is over priced. The two-for-one happy hour special they used to have offset the overpriced food, but without that prices are too high for the area. Food is good, and service is excellent.

Once we sat down we asked for a menu and the waiter said we had to order drinks first. How can we order drinks with no menu? then they never offered us any water or had any water for us like every other restaurant would. the food took forever, even the couple sitting next to us complained about the wait time. food was good but I would never go back.

This place is absolutely delicious, but pricey for what it is.

Small and cozy bar. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The Turkey Burger with Sweet Potatoes Fries was awesome. The turkey burger was juicy, flavorful and lean.

Love this place. They have outdoor seating in the summer and a decent happy hour! Great food. Close to the park so you can go for a walk before or after eating!

This have some of the best tasting dishes in the city. The food here is ultra delicious. And their happy hour menu is out of this world. The service staff are pretty awesome too.

The food is good and the service is good but when I went to use my fork it was old food in it ! They replaced it but it bothered me .

We had an amazing burger, with a house salad , it was perfect! We are two picky people, and we both loved our food, staff was great. They have an amazing cocktail list and sweet bar. Stop and eat you will be very pleased!

Nice little scene, great for parties of 2 or 3 looking for a bite and some drinks, happy hours has buy one get one free. Great waiting service.

Ack. What can Pumkin Escobar say about this place? The menu language didn't match the food that arrived in front of me and the it also said the fries was fresh cut and they were CLEARLY FROZEN. If there's one thing Pumkin Escobar will not stand for, it is a french fry lie. Seriously, the dude does NOT abide. Then when I complained that the fries, the owner tells me that they HAD fresh cut fries, but they switched because it was too much work. Too much work? For great fries? Foolishness and as a result, I have not returned. I mean, if frozen shoe string fries from the frozen section of your local Associated is your thing, then, by all means, go ahead, but I don't have to live like some animal.

As a lover of all things food I love what is on offer here ... This place is great has a nice atmosphere and such a great choice that it will have you coming back again and again. Fully recommended for all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Really amazing atmosphere the staff is awesome.. I had the hummus which was seasoned to perfection and the shrimp po boy sandwich which was just ok. Food is slightly over priced but I would go back

The burger and frozen margaritas are amazing. I always get avocado on my burger because let's face it who doesn't love a healthy fat. The margaritas are perfectly frozen and they have awesome flavors available (passion fruit, mango, pomegranate) - for an added twist try mixing two flavors!! Yummmm!!

Right around the corner from my house, so very convenient. Good food and drinks. I suggest if you never ate here, give it a try.

Fun bar, food was good. Laid back place to watch the soccer game. Maybe a little less salty overall would have been better. Thanks for existing!
