Rent affordable Kayak to see the breathtaking Toronto skyline from the Lake.
Tried the tandem kayak tour.
Pro: They had a great promotion price.
Pro: Instructor and assistant was helpful to teach me how to kayak, I have kayaked before but never on kayak with a "tail".
Pro: Location is well located (easy accessible).
Pro: Great option because the city is beautiful, and the time is close to sunset which is great too!
Con: Maybe the tour guide was having a bad day but I barely remember him providing any information about what we were looking at in center island.
Con: We rushed randomly throughout the trip (in the beginning) but then we had lots of time in the island. But then coming back we had to rush again. I wish it was more leisurely (longer 30 mins more maybe?) or the tour guide had better planned it so we didn't have to randomly rush (make it more consistent pace throughout). I talked to my friends as well and they said they felt the same where they weren't able to enjoy the surroundings as much because we were rushed to reach the island or come back to Toronto.
Really nice calm place for a quiet stroll with a loved one
Sailing is very funny and need very skillful and clear minds.
We rented a little boat to tour the Inner Harbor. staff were friendly. overall good time
wonderful place to rest, and see the last sun light of the day in the lake, after a lot of work.
great spot for photos, for walk around, and talk with friends
The best place to rent kayaks and canoes in downtown. They offer a lot of courses as well. Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. I love their social paddles on Thursdays and Fridays.
The staff is friendly and the instructors are amazing; knowledgeable, super fun and safety-conscious! I recommend Harbourfront Canoe & Kayak to anyone wanting to learn to paddle or rent a boat.
Their location, at the end of Rees St is fantastic! On the water with parking nearby and those friendly staff to help you out. :D
If you are a comfortable paddler, tour around between the Toronto Islands. Or to get comfortable, take one of their excellent lessons.
Quiet organized place to rent Kayak or canoe from. Safety aware staff. And reasonable price. And the lake is so awesome to paddle in.
This was a nice way to spend the evening, views were beautiful and the kayak was fun. I did a tandem, and the route behind the leader was actually somewhat of a workout, for beginners that barely knew what they were doing. There are no stops anywhere so make sure you've gone to the bathroom lol. Afterwards there are burgers and veggie burgers BBQ available, but we decided to out for dinner. On our way back from the tour we got a little stuck in terms of turning back onto the dock and one of the guides was blatantly angry/yelling at us, but besides that experience everything else and everyone else was nice.
It was a great experience canoeing with these guys. They leave on time and have wonderful instructors who make the trip fun and informative.
Took their beginner kayaking lessons with Cheryl. It was great, informative, fun, a really good way to spend a Saturday. They're very professional and know what they're talking about here.
Best experience. You can easily rent one of these kayak and go around Toronto lake.
A brand new experience for someone like me, had never kayaked before. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable of what they were doing. First, they recommended us to do kayak, instead of three-people canoe, cuz of our lack of experience. Second, we were asked to practice first around the harbor, they made sure that we knew how to turn left and right, and stop the kayak before we went out to the lake.
Affordable water fun. Guided tours are terrific for novice kayakers. And options are available for those wanting more independence to explore in tandom or single kayaks.
Love the place. The boats are clean and the staff is very friendly
Pretty efficient. They briefly test you in the harbour to ensure you know how to paddle. You then get taken over to the islands and give you your canoe/kayak. The map they provide is super helpful for navigating the islands. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and efficient.
Lots of canoe and kayak activities for all ages. The Voyager Canoe trip is super fun. Highly recommend.
Reasonable price with choices and a renovated online reservation system reserved your own boat by downtown Toronto with Expensive Parking Beside. Recently, with islands pick up. Mid size group outing. GREET Dave and Instructor James... H2o Paddle and Boreal, wilderness system kayak fleet.
Took a group canoe trip out to the island. Fantastic experience with great equipment and wonderful staff. Will definitely be back.
Katie is the best employee here, true spirit of putting the customer first. I would trust her to run my company. A+
Friday social. Was absolutely fantastic day. Pace was good. Not for beginners.
Went to bird sanctuary flowers, saw yellow lilies. What a great experience. Staff helpful and very friendly.
Great customer service at this establishment. Thank you
Did the tandem kayak experience with Jimmy the guide and it was a terrific experience! A great way to get away from the city for a bit. We paddled through some amazing places on the islands, including a bird sanctuary. Instruction for first time paddlers was really helpful. COVID safety measures are in place so this is a great option if you need a change of scenery!
Awesome experience kayaking in the city. They outlined all the rules and made it a very quick and easy rental experience.
It's a scenic, cool and breezy place to relax on a hot summer day !
Great view, great place to have some rest and to read a book.
Its hard to get parking there. Or you opt for paid parking. Always busy
The staff is amazing and so helpful!! They took their time to explain the rules and how to maneuver the kayak. I myself kayak Lake Michigan in Chicago but was surprised how well the staff fitted everyone into their kayaks and made sure they felt confident before heading out into the water. I will definitely rent from here again on my next visit to Toronto!
Really really enjoyed the walk around the lakefront in Downtown Toronto, ON
Here the scenery is very nice towards the CN Tower, also, you can see the lake with all the boats
Loved it was really fun with beautifull views. Staff were very friendly.
Great fun and great views. Easy to. navigate away from other boats and staff was very helpful.
Staff are very friendly, service is great and overall great experience
Will always recommend. Great friendly staff, amazing experience! Check out the view!
We did the day 1 and 2 kayaking courses with Paul and it was great! Staff are friendly and Paul taught us a lot of skills that gives us a good foundation to build upon. He was patient and always made sure we were safe in the busy harbour. There are washrooms and a change room on site. As well as locker cubbies that can be used for free. If the weather turns they also offer shuttle service to and from the island!
Rates are a little high for rentals but it's a perfect location.
Very friendly staff. Definitely reserve ahead of time.
Great time kayaking around the islands. Staff is friendly and professional.
Great experience and excellent service. Suggest booking in advance; they dont usually have availability for walk-ins.
Nice opportunity for rental if you get anything. Especially during the weekend they are overrun. With no rentals available on Toronto island they aren't able to deal with demand. Instead they act without too much planning. It's better on word days.
Only $20 for a Tandem for 2 hours! Amazing deal and beautiful view of the city. Nice people.
Staff was super nice and knowledgeable. Kayak was in great shape, price was reasonable. I will certainly rent from them again.
It was a lot of fun. Great views of the city and the Toronto islands.
Not satisfied with the Stand up paddle board training at all. The coach was 50 meters away when someone fell to the water and did not even notice. The training was step to step but too quick to follow. We all managed to stand by the end but the experience was not quite enjoyable.
A really soothing and lively place to visit during summer time. Wouldn't recommend for winters
Loved it here... It's so beautiful and because of the Canada 150 celebrations rental prices have decreased
Have been twice now, staff are always friendly. Place is currently under construction, so it's easy to walk pass. Prices are reasonable (my friend and I can usually find a groupon for 50% off). Getting across the harbour can take some time, especially when there's a fair amount of other water traffic. Once your across there are a number of little pockets in/around the islands. Watch out for the ferrys though! You can get wet. Wear comfortable clothes. Would definitely go again!!
