The way one of their housing officers spoke to me was absolutely shocking it has left me feeling scared to approach the council in time of need.
this council is very quick to send you payment letters, but doesn't work the same way when somehting needs to be done - really dissapointing
Terrible. Spent ages applying for help with housing help and not only did they not band me they removed me off the register without saying a word or even an email. Awful way to treat people! USELESS
The cleaning of the streets are appalling if the road sweepers don't like their job they shouldn't apply. It's meant to be cleaning not picking and for fly tipping that's absolutely disgusting, the council has to charge a reasonable amount for bulky items because that is what is causing the fly tipping. People need to be fined heavily to stop throwing their rubbish on the roads, we all have to live in this environment. Can the council put out more dog bins so people can put their nastiness in there instead of the roads . If we are paying our council tax we expect a better service .
It was a pleasant visit, fairly quiet today. Waited about 25 minutes with a relative to be seen. Ticket system in operation. Used the time to look at leaflets available and information on posters. The area was clean and tidy with pot plants brightening up the environment. Tables and chairs in alcoves as well as back to back seating in a line. There was an "under the sea" knitted display that looked very cheerful and colourful on the slope approaching the waiting area. It's good to look for the beauty in ordinary every day places.
Despite being sent timetables, our bins are rarely ever collected on the right day, some months we have gone nearly 3 weeks before the rubbish is collected. Also despite being forced to seperate normal and recycling rubbish, can the council please tell me why the binmen put then BOTH in the SAME rubbish cart??? What is the point in recycling when it gets chucked in with normal rubbish?
Shambles of a council. They are quick to demand money for rent and council tax but try and get out of repairs. They are willing to stop me leaving my property just to save themselves some money replacing a fence.
Do a good job considering the number of feral families now in the town. Dirty streets and vandalism is down to the residents and decent people have to live with this.
The council building is guaranteed to have the cleanest surrounding streets in Gravesham . As for the hard working local tax payer streets, tough luck.
The council really should be given 5 stars for its prompt service despite they are so heavily burdened.I reported about a dog fouling yesterday outside my gate and today it was cleaned.Thanks very much.Really appreciate this.
My food bin had not been collected on Monday, and I didn't realise until Wednesday evening. I reported it Thursday, checked on Friday and it had been collected. Many thanks, great service.
Phoned today with an enquiry about housing and spoke to Mariam in housing allocations. She was very helpful giving me more information than I had asked for and some advice on how to proceed. Thank you Mariam.
Ive lived in gravesham for 52 years and feel when i look around the borough how much we resemble a 3rd world nation. General waste collected once a fortnight, the main recycling facility closed for months increasing the likelihood of the lazy backward elements of our town to flytip, council land left to look like marshland and when it is cut the finished product looked more attractive as marshland. This town has so much history,when i grew up here there was a sense of community and belonging and pride, it has changed and not for the better i just hope someone can stop the rot
Gravesham needs to find pride in itself: Finding community pride, brings much much more to the town, a town that urgently needs this pride. And getting it right, this pride could encourage the town to tidy itself, at little or no cost. Building the pride, showing the initiative, could encourage investment.
Very poor customer service, lack of concentration and focus, came in to adjust my council tax bill and add my wife Name on the bill only to get back dated to when she was not even arrived to UK council tax put through the post box, again on Phone with customer service and they wouldn't even want you to speak only to listen to them in commanding tone. Very disappointing. Very poor customer service.

The housing department and its housing officers are a complete disgrace namely dawn walster (housing officer) and Paul Gilbert (senior housing officer) they allow their council tenants to abuse their neighbours, when confronting housing officers with evidence written and recorded as well as witnesses they manufacture lies and distort the evidence, I was told not to laugh in the confinements of my own home (private rented) as their resident thinks I'm laughing at her and it's classed as anti social behaviour lol . These two housing officers are a complete waste of tax payers money no way fit to do a simple job. incompetent, useless, biased, lieing housing officers an embarrassment to our local council
