Lela Hanh is supposed to be my service coordinator. She doesn't return emails. The misinformation in my daughter's evaluation is so immense i render the evaluation useless. Every detail i offered on family history was mangled.
It took 16 months to get a response from HRC all they've done is twist my words. Tell me what i already knew then ignore my request for the paperwork to be corrected.
It's a horrible company, dont bother bringing your child here. They tooken longer then a year to get my son services. N he still hasnt got service. The Cordinador they give u dont communicate with you at all. My son is not getting better and they don't care.
A new executive staff with a fresh start to something that will perhaps benefit the IDD community, so it feels like a new beginning, the leadership of the executive staff is about to change the history of HRC for the benefit of its clients.
I wonder if they make the whole community feel like me, harassed and intimidated? super bad customer service and a total lack of empathy for their customers.
Don t go there unless you are okay with their condescending attitude and being treated like dirt. It is all about this place collecting money from the government. Your child is just used to keep them all getting their paychecks. They diagnosed my child as needing their services before even seeing him. Waste of our tax payers money.
Harbor Regional Center is massive bureaucratic institution responsible for providing developmental disabled individuals the services and supports they need to live an independent life. Our family has been dealing with them for 20 years and had nothing but awful experience in dealing with HRC. Incompetent, inefficient and a waste of tax dollars. A fiscal intermediary failure, a terrible system which fails time after time. Get appropriate advocacy representation before applying. Good luck!
It is sad that families have so many barriers to getting services that our love ones with special needs really needs.
It is very difficult trying to reach help from HRC when I have asked for it. It is very frustrating to come here and look for support for my son, and just find out that the only help I get here is flyers with resources and none of real support and help.
How can I make an appointment always I call and I leave messages and no one call me back someone can tell what to do please .
