Finally getting around to getting my citizenship application sorted. I had the N-400 completed and asked Hanes and Bartel to look it over. Brenda Bartels referred me to Amber, their immigration Lawyer, who was great. She noticed a quite a few issues with my form, and hopefully has stopped any delays in processing the application. Would def recommend , and use again.

I am so thankful we found them while searching for the best immigration lawyer in Colorado, we had a very complicated case and Amber decided to take it and worked so hard to make everything alright, she worked so hard on our case, for so long and won our case!! Never thought that would happened, after talking to other lawyers in the past my confidence on our case was very low, but then we met Amber and she made us feel so good about everything, she was always there when we needed something, or had questions, I literally can t thank them enough, the whole team was always so nice and friendly, never made us feel bad about anything.... So if you re looking for a good immigration lawyer, please do not look further... Amber and her team are the best!!!! We will forever be thankful!! She is a miracle worker! She is the best!

I was able to work with their Immigration Attorney Petula McShiras, she is wonderful and very professional, I filed for my husbands green card and the entire process was smooth and in the time expected, without her support we wouldn't have made it, as it is a very detailed process. My husband and I are completely amazed at how smoothly our process went thanks to Amber and Ruth! Both were very upfront, reachable, honest and detail specific. The atmosphere at this practice made us comfortable and we would definitely recommend to anyone who needs an immigration lawyer.

My ex wife and I were having issues and we decided to have a divorce after we had applied for my 10 year green card. With the case dragging on for long (4 years), I was almost going back to my home country because I was frustrated and I didn't ever think the USCIS people would ever manipulate a situation and make it seem I entered my previous marriage just for benefits. Petula (Angel sent from heaven) did a very amazing job. She is patient, honest, very knowledgeable, understanding and advised on me sufficiently on the best approach without looking at her financial gain. She is very amazing!!! I would advise anyone filing for any migration case to utilize her services. I cant thank her enough...

Amber is easily reachable when you have a question or concern about the process. She is very detailed-oriented and thorough with her paperwork. Overall, she is good at what she does. Her personable side is a plus. I was able to get my permanent residency because of her work. I d recommend Amber to anyone with an immigration issue.

With all of the hairiness of COVID-19, my partner and I needed some legal counsel to determine if he could extend his stay in the US or not. Petula and the staff at Hanes & Bartel were incredibly informative, helpful, and stayed by our side while we had to make some decisions and figure out our way. The team at Hanes & Bartel is outstanding and here to help-- we really felt like Petula cared about our success and wanted to make sure that we were as safe and as well-informed as possible. Rest assured that if you have an immigration case or concern that needs to be addressed, you will have the best possible team at your disposal with Hanes & Bartel. Thank you so much!

Petula was our immigration lawyer and I do not recommend her to anyone, you are MUCH better off finding a different one. If you have her watch out for the emails and phone calls. A 58 second call can cost 10 dollars when the correct price was 8 minutes for 10 dollars. When I asked her over the phone she said she puts all the time we talk and adds it into increments and when I am telling you we talked maybe 8 minutes on the phone all together during the whole year besides asking about billing issues and she charged me around $100. So be mindful of what you contract says and don't be nieve. She also said her going to the interview was included in the initial payment but infact it cost 650 for her to go now I have a bill of 45 dollars because she lied and said it was included. I recommend someone else she will try to get as much money out of you as possible.

My husband and I were struggling with the paperwork and knowing what to file. They took over the process and everything went smoothly! Best decision we made was hiring them to represent us. We would probably still be waiting for a green card without them!

I was lucky to have found Brenda during a battle with a business partner. We were a family new to Colorado who had put all of our hard earned money into a small business with an individual who ended up being dishonest and unethical. I called around and I felt like no one wanted to help. Not sure if it's because it was too small of a case or they didn't understand the issue. Brenda was the light at the end of the tunnel when we were distraught, alone, and highly concerned for our livelihood. She not only expressed anger for what was being done to us by this individual but she fought with intensity and dedication as well. She listened, made us feel at ease, and instilled utmost trust. I cannot thank her enough for all she did during this difficult time in our lives. We, absolutely and without hesitation, highly recommend her!

I seriously thought about leaving a review but I think it's necessary and people should know. My name is Jennifer. My husband Pedro and myself had a Consultation appointment on May 2018 and Amber was the one that we saw. My husband's final Immigration Court was coming on August the 1st and we brought to the appointment all the evidence that we had gathered for it. She barely looked at the evidence and told us that there was no hope at all, and that she was pretty sure my husband was going to be deported. My kids have ptsd and she said that PTSD was not enough to prove extreme hardship on the case; she even said that 99 % of chances were my husband was going to lose the case. We were shocked and discouraged! I asked her for different options like appeals, prosecutorial discretions etc and I remember that she laughed at my face and said that in these times with this President prosecutorial discretions were things from the past. Thank God friends from us told us not to give up and get a second opinion, but we were so sad and discouraged thinking: An immigration lawyer just told us there's no hope! We wanted to give up and we were so sad and scared. We listened to our friends and we hire DMCA Causa Immigration Law Firm we had our Court and we won the case! I will never forget the words of the Judge when she said " This family has suffered a lot, specially those kids" and think about when Amber said that PTSD was not enough. I have read good reviews about her, but those reviews are about applications like ( citizenships, green cards etc) and that requires filling up paperwork and sending them to immigration, that's just a process that a paralegal could do; it doesn't involved litigation or defending clients; in my opinion that's what a real Lawyer should be reviewed about. I hope she can read this review and think about what she could have caused to us if we would have listened to her. There's a difference in giving your opinion as a Lawyer after you see the evidence than to almost predict an outcome without even seeing all the evidence and talk lightly about an issue so serious like PTSD without knowing. Amber said that PTSD was not enough and that there was a 99% of probabilities my husband was going to be deported. Again we won the case and PTSD was the reason why my husband was able to stay.
