If I could give zero stars I would. I just saw the video of the police officer handling his K9 partner. The officer should be fired and have criminal charges filed against him. He should not be exempt just because he is a police officer I say that in quotes because this poor excuse for a man is less than human and shouldn t be allowed to call himself a law enforcer. The K9 in this video is obviously smarter, more dedicated and definitely has more integrity than this POS. If I had to bet this man has been charged with domestic violence. If he is allowed to keep his job, I would not feel safe letting this disturbed individual protect me. Do the right thing Hammond Indiana PD and fire him and criminally charge this man. Strangling your K9 officer/partner~Where will it end? Accidentally shooting another police officer because they needed discipline??? Very disturbing, disappointing and the MOST unprofessional behavior I ve ever witnessed from an officer of the law

It has been reported that this police department has sent officers to Standing Rock to use water-cannons on Native Americans under sub-zero conditions; to wear riot gear; to throw percussion grenades; to spray with tear-gas, pepper-spray, and mace; and to shoot rubber-bullets at peaceful demonstrators. Shameful! Is everyone in Hammond feeling safe, so that officers can be spared to North Dakota to do the work of Big Oil? Let your department know how you feel about this!

The Hammond police force did an outstanding job on creating a safe and fun environment for Leon's triathlon in Hammond. I have participated in over 20 triathlons and this was the best marked and manned course that I have used.

Need a new police chief for this growing city and growing police force. The culture of the organization is greatly lacking in integrity and morality. They lie, they cheat, they abuse power like a common criminal or sociopath. For example I also had an encounter with PREZIN, it was clearly entrapment. Told her m to save his soul and get a different job. He is a liability to the city of Hammond!

Hammond does the best it can. Some responsibility lays on us as well. Remember. A well behaved people is a law unto themselves. Thanks for being Truck driver friendly. Don't chase revenue away.

I have had a situation on my property where a man showing up posing as a private detective harassing my neighbor plus calling my mother private and me saying that I'm doing something wrong and then I'm in trouble but leaving no badge number no District no name no number. By law they have to identify themselves meaning the officer has to identify himself. I contacted the Hammond Police and they have been very helpful to me about the situation telling me that I must have someone that does not like me a neighbor and ex-boyfriend and that is very much true and so they have helped me in some regards and we're kind to me and I truly appreciate it. As for the negative reviews if you feel that you're being singled out because of race maybe you need to look at the fact that it's possible that the reason that you're getting pulled over is because you may be guilty of something and it might not be of your race I have made mistakes in my life you have to own up to it regardless of what race you are and pay for your mistakes and do what's right in your life to make what's the best of it.

I was a victim of credit card fraud and (Zeke) Ezequiel Hinojosa was assigned to my case. I've always been a supporter of law enforcement but in my past experiences with other police departments, credit card fraud has not been a priority. Zeke went above and beyond and treated me like my case was important. He did some amazing detective work and because of his time and effort he was able to get me the best imaginable outcome.

I viewed the video, and it made me totally sick to my stomach, for such a police behavior to take place in these United States. I think the Governor of the great state of Indiana should view this video also and take action against these police officers. I think the Governor of the State of Indiana is preparing to run for President, but his running will be in vain when officers under his own control can treat citizens like this, what would happen to all of us if he became president. With behavior like this every citizen has the right to own a gun to protect himself and his family from such behavior. I think these officers should be stripped of their badges, guns and uniforms and thrown out on the street to beg for food and mercy from the citizens whom they were sworn to protect.

I know nothing about this department... other than the unacceptable handling of the officer with the K-9.
After seeing the video & reading about the incident... I am so unhappy that the punishment DID NOT fit the crime!!
I PRAY this dog was removed from the officer.
Such a shame that THIS is what the world gets to see about this police department.
In my opinion this officer needs an extensive mental evaluation.
Seems to me... he's NOT FIT to PROTECT OR SERVE!!

If you need to steal a car, ask Hammond PD for assistance. They are good at it and will gladly assist you. Crooks.
