On Saturday my flight got canceled and then they rescheduled it, i didn t say anything to them, I was being very nice customer to them, I spent $102 to get there and on the way back. Then on Tuesday July 9,2019 I was literally there, the security took more time, but I already had my online boarding pass and everything, all set to go there were still 14 minutes for the flight and this lady at gate 4 at 6:38 pm didn t let me in, she was so racist to me and didn t even said sorry once, I hated the whole place, then again I was unable to catch the flight, spent more than $400 just for the uber 4 trips cuz at the first place I wanted to save money for the flight. I hope she get fired soon for her rude behaviour. Swoop sucks!

I like that there is an option to fly internationally. I like that the airport is small and I don't have to drive around too much. But the lineups are way too long and it takes much too long to just drop a bag off. This morning, we were already checked in, our bags were paid for but we still had to wait for about an hour just to leave a bag. There should be either a new line foe people who are checked in and have their bags paid for or have more people working at the counters.

I was sceptical flying a "discount" airline for the first time and couldn't have been more pleased. Flights are priced incredibly, airline staff were friendly and efficient!!! The airport itself is tiny yet has everything you need. Parking is inexpensive and close to the front doors, security was thorough/speedy and boarding very fast. VERY impressed!!!

Small airport and very convenient for us. Easy check in and security. Flew Swoop to Halifax last month and loved it. You have to go outside and board the plane on stairs... Something to keep in mind during winter flights.

First of all if you are not using your own transport, there is no direct public transit service. They want more ridership but not interesting in providing the necessary infrastructure.Regular uber is not allowed to pick or drop here.so you are being forced to use the higher version of uber paying double.if you are coming from downtown area.then first take bus27 and from their garage you will take wheel trans.if you can get there within one hour, this whole trip will take almost double time.to wheel trans, you don't have to pay again. I am surprised that why they don't introduce a direct airport service.it seems to me that administration or the mayor office is not interested at all. Now,we enter into the terminal.it is a small airport.it is ok until of you want to have a cup of coffee or want to eat something. Tim Horton is located there. The slowest man on earth "a young guy" is deputed to prepare food.you must be very lucky if you get your order properly and in a time frame.the best advice is only get drink from here and when you go to departure lounge, there is another tim located inside.buy from there.although they have small quantity and not the whole variety. On a cheaper ticket to come here does not worth.it gives you too much headache and stress.on the other hand airline like flair and Swoop charge even for the carry on baggage, too.so if they give you discount, the other way they get it back. This is my experience which is absolutely worst. Good luck with yours.

I used to love this airport but lately multiple planes have been leaving at the same time, causing havoc in the security lineup. Showed up 90 mins early as recommended, only to find that a multitude of people that show up 15 mins before their flight leaves, get to bump me from the line.

3 stalls in the ladies washroom, mine was missing the sliding lock mechanism. Washing hands was crazy as women where showing themselves into a closed area. If you are claustrophobic you might have an issue.
Airport itself is small. Overall design works but it could have been better. Tim Hortons on site -nice perk.

Although this airport is small, easy to navigate and very neatly kept, their parking is outrageous! 4 Days cost us $115, which in London would've cost us $60, Pearson off-site would have been between $60-80.

Their prices were more in line with London's at about $70 per week before they hiked them up. Apparently these rates were raised just a few days before we left according to the infographic we read when we arrived the day of our flight.

Our flight was cheaper than our parking and which will be the case with most Swoop passengers if you're gone for more than 3 days.

I understand COVID19 has had a profound impact on travel but I feel the new rates are insulting and price gouging. Not a good way to go about regaining lost income nor encouraging travel. Really made us wish Swoop stayed in London, as our flight was moved to Hamilton only due to Swoop pulling all their flights out of London.

Furthermore, their parking machines did not issue us a receipt afterwards and were very confusing to use, with all sorts of blinking lights, 5 different slots. Looked more like an arcade game than a parking pay station.

I wouldn't recommend flying out of YHM unless you have the money to spend on parking and it's not an object for you (or someone can drive and drop you off), but for us who had booked prior to covid and this probably going to be our last vacation until this pandemic is over, it was not a great end to our vacation--which was a very much needed sense of normality in these times.

I did email them for assistance. Should they refund me I'll remove this review or edit it to reflect the response in customer service.

This is complete rubbish. Delays today in to the airport exceeded an hour plus! We planned ahead, if delays are going to up to 30 mean it every access to the airport is under construction add to that the dump trucks lining up for the paving construction at the airport parking lot. All this added to delays. I typically have had nothing but good things to say about the Hamilton Airport, that changed today. My son will be out of pocket more than $500 when all is said and done. There needs to be much wider publication of construction and delays at the airport especially when they exceed hours and affect all access routes to the airport. Not fair to customers. Add to that there are no personal at the check desks so when late arrives do penetrate access to the airport there is no one there to help customers. An airport employee indicated the road was closed and was suppose to reopen at 4 pm but was delayed. The public depends on the airport and today it was MIA.

Small, simple, easy to fly in and out

Flew to Las Vegas by SWOOP airlines.

After flying in and out of busy, crowded, parking unfriendly Pearson Airport, Hamilton airport comes to me as a big relief.

Small, compact, all inclusive, friendly airport. Thank God, no endless walking in terminal to departure/arrival gates. If you have only carry on bag, you can be out of the airport in 5 mins time. That friendly.

Long term Parking - two options. Airlort economy at $16.50 a day, a one minute drive Valair parking at $11 day. Inparked in Valair.

Can you not fix the baggage claim area to be more fluid?
Lots of time wasted waiting for bags.
Maybe, have the passengers pick up their bags before entering into the arrival area.
Lay off the staff that are normally suppose to do it.
Your welcome.....

Flyers beware Security is very strict with their fluid ounces , luckily travelling with friend who checked hers in luggage otherwise I would have had to discard half of my toiletries. What they seem to fail to recognize is it s really all packaging that 1 qt bag is fluid if I were to empty all my packaged toiletries it wouldn t even fill. Didn t matter to them but in reality it should its customer service. Packages aren t fluid . I wouldn t have packed it if I didn t need it and I travel a lot just never out of this airport and it s never been an issue.

What a disaster. Sit on the tarmac trapped in plane for 50minutes. Completely under staffed. I figured at least they will have the luggage off, haven't even started. It's not even busy. Its midnight.

Atrocious "international" airport security lineup all the way to the departures terminal door. "Security" line moved 4inches in 20min. Probably spent all their time confiscating liquids and gels. No flight could ever depart on time from this third world airport. No terminal announcements. No staff around. Never again.

Possibly one of the most Disorganized

Possibly one of the most Disorganized
Airports I have been to in my Life . For In Country Flights Get there 2 hours early and you will spend an Hour and 1/2 of that time in a Line up that encompasses every flight in the Building . Layout of building has the worst flow .Seems 30 years out of Date . Be prepared for a Frustrating/Discouraging Experience

One of the volunteers behind the information desk on the Sunday afternoon shift, she has a very stressed out attitude and gets very vulgar towards people across the airport. She demands that everyone stays out of her way. She has a very negative attitude as I know that volunteers cant be so controlling and obnoxious.

Check-In and security was pretty quick. BUT flight delayed 10 HOURS i am not blaming swoop beacuse it is not there fault. My flight was good. Swoop has a small selections of food on board but everything was pretty good on my flight to orlando. Staff were very friendly. My only concern is that they should have a regular tims after security. The only option for breakfast was the bar but they only had a breakfast burrito. Duty free shop way to expensive. But overall everything was good!

Excellent airport, just needs to adjust to all the new passengers. My question is with security.. How does one get a home cooked curry thru security to open and eat in a small airplane and others have to throw their kids juice boxes away??

I always fly into Hamilton.. but flying out of there is getting annoying.
Long line up that starts by the checkin s, then wraps around by the arrivals..
And only 1 security lane open, with 3-4 flights leaving.
I think the airport needs to step up there game!

Calgary tourists, disappointed with lack of knowledge about connecting transportation choices to leave Hamilton. Also frustrated no rental cars available at the airport, or in Hamilton. Uber was the only logical choice , bus transportation was confusing and not on time .

It s a small airport. We flew swoop airline to Jamaica from here. There are not much duty free shopping here.If you are flying in winter make sure you dress warm because you actually have to walk to your plane and take the stairs.I am glad that there is another option now other then Pearson to fly and because this is a small airport it s not complicated at all to find your way.

Flying in and out of Hamilton is much nicer experience then Toronto Pearson, if you don't mind boarding using airstairs instead of a jetway. I actually like walking up to the aircraft on the tarmac, it's a sensory experience, noise and smell of burning jet fuel. Its like a step back in history! Unfortunately Swoop is a circus joke, but that's not CYHM's fault. 5 flights leaving in 1 hour and 15 minutes, not enough baggage check staff for 600 people all showing up at once. Guess I have to go to CYYZ next time. Shame as Hamilton is really a great airport :(
