I specifically gave them in writing what I was expecting, I asked the if they could take care of my needs for the long run. I told them I didn t want to be swept aside. Or forgot to get back to me or I am sorry he is no longer with the firm I needed long term support. They were not able to accommodate me. They put together my family planning, they seemed to do an okay job with that, But completely dropped the ball on everything else. I felt like it was an in and out business. Get you in take your money on to the next number. I made several calls to my contact he made promises to get back to me. After the first guy that put together my will he left the firm. The second one had no clue and I told him this is exactly what I didn t want to have to explain everything again. It was a bit of a joke. I now looking for a firm that cares. Now you will see some feeble attempt to apologize below here, typical, nobody wants an apology for something they paid for. I think someone needs to shake up the firm some of them have forgot they are playing with peoples lives and livelihoods.

Seriously overpriced legal representation! I hired them to look over a contract in the sale of my business. I gave them an $8k retainer almost a year ago. An employee bought my business and had her lawyer (different law firm) draw up the contract for which she was charged a flat $5k. Hamilton Duncan ran through my $8k retainer but later reduced the invoice so the total was about $7.5k. They however got my mailing address mixed up and despite numerous phone calls and emails I'm still waiting on the small refund I was supposed to receive. Not very professional for a high profile law firm! Update: Finally received cheque almost a year later.

Rory Morgan was respectful and professional, while still being kind, thorough and helpful while representing me. I would highly recommend him, and Hamilton Duncan Armstrong + Stewart for legal services.

I had a poor experience with them. I was recommended to one of their lawyers and I did not get a call back for 2 days at which point I gave his assistant some information. Then again I heard nothing for 2 days and I had to call back. I was told my file had been passed to another lawyer and would hear from him. Well, I had actually specifically asked for a certain person so that is unprofessional. At any rate, I explained my case to the new layer and he said he would call me back the next day with a price. At this point it has been 2 weeks since I first contacted them and I didn't even have a quote yet. And I never did hear back from them at all. I suppose I could phone them again but why would I chase such bad service? All I needed was a letter written.

Not very impressed with their service. I had to point out multiple errors on a legal document that they had prepared for me, including getting my address and first name entirely wrong! I also had to point out that they double charged me for legal fees, and their response to that was to attempt to add on some more phone charges to the bill. Communication was on the slow side. Given my experience here, I would not recommend using their service for any significant legal matters of which incorrect names and addresses on legal documents could be detrimental to your case. I have had better service at a much lower cost from a notary public.

Gave a retainer, thought I found a lawyer who was in the fight and promised me they were, turns out to drop my case because it was not 'worth it' after a month or so. Even though I was still willing to pay, they weren't willing to fight. Over promised, under delivered. She was a nice enough person, but I'm hurt how I was dropped. Better firms out there. Don't waste your money.

Seeking to have a will varied when you live half a continent away from the court that has jurisdiction is somewhat complicated. When a principle involved in that litigation dies intestate before it is resolved brings another level of complication. Throw in a pandemic and an unexpected cancer diagnosis and both the stress and complexity of the situation are magnified. Ellen Hong of HDAS was the perfect guide through the legal morass with which I was confronted. She explained each of the various steps with clarity enabling me to furnish her with a necessary documentation without ever having to make extra trips to retrieve necessary documents and she put me in touch with other members of the firm when their particular skills were required. While Ellen was the principle person dealing with my situation, other members of the firm contributed their expertise. Tara Britnell and Brian Man deserve mention as do several of the legal assistants and especially Prabdeep Brar who at least on one occasion gave me a sympathetic ear. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend HDAS and in particular Ellen Hong. Not only is Ellen and excellent lawyer; but more important, she is a wonderful human being. Thank you for making my life easier. B. Worst have ever ever so disrespectful expensive like 500hr a joke and alwalys charge I more than they say.. I an so upset that I used then when I was warned not to. By so many people. Don't be a fool like me and read the review and listen to others they are a jock even Karen yes they have a Karen l and yes she lies like a Karen dose...

9 Years Great Service! On our original search for a lawyer 9 years ago, we wanted to make sure we found someone experienced, professional and that could handle our complex case. We met with 8 different lawyers in our search and Ms. Britnell was the first lawyer we spoke with, she was a little more expensive then we could afford at the time so we still needed to meet with others to compare as to who would be best suited for our needs.
