A nice comfortable place to browse and choose something to read.

A wide selection of books both fiction and non-fiction, including lots of recent publications and the usual facilities in a public library. Love coming here too browse. There's parking directly outside too. I usually visit around noon or early arvo and it's quiet around this time. The self-checkout kiosks are great, super convenient and easy to use.

I took my 84yo mother in law here to sign her up so she get some books in German. Great service and friendly staff. Nothing was a problem. We left with 3 books. If you join you get access to 6 library's in Hamilton including e-books.

Chartwell library has really great events, like Rocket on the first Saturday of the month (story, lego activity and free hot drink). They have a good selection of books, DVDs, kits and more. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Great kids selection of books and DVDs. By subscribing to their mailing list you can find out what is happening each fortnight.

If one want to journey with out moving, internet is there -

Smaller library than most, but it has an amazing range of books, especially for Children. Parking is limited, so get there early if you have a session with tots and mom's. Pity it has no quiet space for one to read or study in peace as I could hear the children singing.
