Not really a big fan; there have been a few shows I've gone to but many more I would have gone to if better advertised. The whole experience is over-priced and a night out at HFC would be among the last places I'd want to take the family. Currently closed for a refurb which will, undoubtedly, add more to the ticket prices.

Great theatre showing a huge variety of genres, we are so pleased to have it in Cornwall as there are so few other options for quality live theatre (the wonderful Minack Theatre excepted). Layout and visibility is good, acoustics excellent. It attracts top acts and companies.

Just back from watching The Full Monty with My Daughter.
The reception staff were very friendly on arrival as were the bar staff in foyer and bar upstairs.
We had a lovely sandwich and apple juice. Ordered another apple juice for the break.
Indulged ourselves with a lovely piece of low fat fruit cake and slice of ginger cake. Yummy.
The Show was Brilliant. All the cast gave a 110% a laugh a minute. They were all stars and none of them a Diva.
Thank you very much Everyone . I Travelled all the way from Plymouth and back and it was well worth the effort. Brilliant Evening.

Great venue, though now closed for refurbishment for 20 months. Watched Beauty and the Beast on ice which involved very talented Russian ice skaters. Would recommend parking on Lemon Street if after 6 as it is free.

Hall For Cornwall is closed for a complete refit. ...

Hall For Cornwall is closed for a complete refit. The old arena style auditorium and the surrounding on-the-cheap plasterboard interior has been removed and is being replaced by a stalls-circle-gallery style auditorium in steel that sits within the old granite central volume of the old market halls. There will be 1200 seats - more than enough to lure the best touring shows to an eager audience in the far west.

In the daytime the new auditorium will be visible between new granite-arched foyers at the Back Quay and (for the first time) Boscawen Street entrances, allowing the public to experience an all day cultural offer. At show time, the auditorium will be separated visually and acoustically from the foyers by retractable screens, blinds and doors, whose closing will signal the start of the performance.

The granite, steel and wood interiors, complemented with seating fabric echoing the colours of the Cornish shoreline, will give the space a tough authenticity that is uniquely of its place.

Have to comment as i went to see my son in the Cornwall Dance Partnership event last night and the show was fantastic and very well run as for the staff from i can only presume is the Hall for Cornwall are extremely rude and i shall explain why.
In this day an age that we live in where you can video using a telephone when going to see your son/daughter dancing there socks off you want nothing more than to be able to film this special event to enjoy again and again and also to be able to show other family members/friends.
To be told to stop filming and by an old matron/like attendaent is nothing short of infuriating, disgraceful and downright rude.
They are lucky i didn't have a go on the night but i thought like i had planned for my video i would share it with others.

Shame on you Hall For Cornwall it ruined an otherwise great evening.

Have seen some great shows here. From Billy Wyman and The Rhythm Kings to Fiddler on The Roof. Comfortabe, although be aware that the seating at the back is very steep. Can't wait to see Bill Bailey. :)

Saw 'The Gruffalo' production here a while back and was thoroughly entertained. They provided discounted prices for our entire toddler group so great place to consider booking for large groups.

Looking at the HFC autumn programme I have the impression the venue no longer caters for those like me who enjoy quality contemporary music. In the past I have seen Coldplay, Keane, Elbow, Reef and many other acts at the HFC. In the current programme there are twelve tribute acts and zero current acts. The only popular music hails from the 1980's and beyond. I feel the publically subsidised venue has a duty to cater for a wider audience and to nurture contemporary talent. The HFC falls between Princes Pavilion, Falmouth and Plymouth Pavilions. Somehow these venues manage to promote current talent. Could the HFC have a more appealing balance of shows?
