Seen some great shows here. The staff are always welcoming. Good views throughout. As a 6ft+ person, the leg room could be better and the seats can become a bit uncomfortable by the end of a long show - hopefully the refurbishment will help on this front. The disabled seating appears well placed for both a good view and easy accessibility (rather than right at the front or out in the wings).
My first trip to Hall For Cornwall. GREASE what a wonderful performance by all. Didn't want it to end. Wherever you sit here you have a great view of the stage. Props were amazing. Will definitely be visiting again when down in Cornwall.
Love going out to see shows cant wait for the next one
IT IS A FABOURLOUS AND FANTASTIC PLACE TO WATCH SHOWS AND ENJOY THEM
Love the ace it's closed now to be refurbished x x
Some great acts and the seating is pretty good wherever you are in the auditorium, at least for stand-up and bands. Drama productions with deep box sets can suffer some limited visibility. Not the cheapest venue !
Old time.About to spend 20 million on the place.
That won't improve the experience.
Let's spend 20 million on humans...his and putting roofs over people's heads first
Essence of Ireland - My wife and I left at the interval, the sound was too loud, the female leads audio was awful, the dancers were out of step with the obviously record background music and the description of the show was not as advertised in so far as the irish dancing was done to a minimum.
Fantastic evening watching listening to The Carpenters Story such a fantastic atmosphere
Nice venue, good shows. Can be pricey though, especially for a family with children.
Too small even with the new proposed seating. High prices for refreshments. Draconian views on not taking photos.
Family christmas panto.. legroom a little limited where we sat but a great experience will be back.
One of my favourite intimate venues to see fantastic shows and musicians, comfortable and great views of the stage
Saw Grease this evening with several members of the family. The show was brilliant but spoilt by two girls in front that talked all the way through second half and spent all the time sending selfies on Facebook and drinking bottles from their bags. Several people told them to be quiet but didn't sink in. This is the worse experience at the Hall that we've had.
KneeHigh Production.....Tin Drum... Fantastic as always... well adapted, moving, joyous..
Excellent show thoroughly enjoyed the musical. Unlike hubby
Lovely little theatre. Thoroughly enjoyed Brendan Cole's "All Night Long" show. Perfect seating throughout the Hall - everyone could see quite comfortably.
Well designed venue with friendly staff and we'll located for preparing theatre meal or drinks.
On the evening of Wednesday September 27th we came to the HFC to see Buddy Holly and the Cricketeers. We had good seats g14 and g15.
I can honestly say that I have never seen such a poor act in a major theatre in all my life. I have seen better tribute acts performed by fifth form students in secondary schools.
The vocals were off key, out of tune and often shouted. The group's stage presence was embarrassing and unprofessional, and they neither sounded nor looked at all like Buddy Holly.
The act was, in our opinion so poor that we decided to leave at the interval.
Thank you
Peter A Tamblin
Great venue & a local treasure with wide & diverse range of entertainment. Absolutely loved their Pantomime of Sleeping Beauty. Would be a regular visitor if we lived in Truro
As always the HFC delivered - Blood Brothers was a triumph!!!
Have seen some fabulous shows here over the years, but the reason for only 4 stars is the seating and leg room can be a lot better. Restaurant is fabulous food excellent and service they always go out of there way to help our favorite is Jess young Irish girl always so very helpful 'management material" have a great week very best wishes David......
Brilliant theatre good atmosphere currently being renovated
Guns or Roses Hats off to these guys. Fantastic tribute to GNR. Certainly not for the faint hearted.....They rocked the Hall for Cornwall in Truro. Fab show. Very talented musicians. Loved the Solos too.
So wonderful to see an audience so diverse all ages and abilities. Standing ovation at the end with a the whole crowd having a boogie.
Fab that Hall for Cornwall support new tributes bands to make their debuts in the City of Cornwall.
Great theatre but now looking a bit tired. Looking forward to the new theatre.
A very sweet venue for music - albeit with a 70s vibe. The sound quality was great, though, which is surprisingly rare in venues such as this.
Panto experience takes you back to the wonders of childhood
Great venue - staff always very helpful and you can see everything from every seat!
