Haigs Hotel Review

i highly recommend this hotel as it is in a great location, with several convenience stores, petrol station and food places within a 2min walk. The restaurant is exemplary, i thought the service was amongst the best I'd ever received and the food was of the highest quality. the menu is fantastic: a triple fish plate option to start and triple dessert to finish. a separate cosy bar area to relax in after your meal. the bedroom was comfortable and clean, slightly dated, particularly the bathrooms, but its got a great feel to it. will stay again if in area

Came here for a family meal and were a fairly large group. The drink prices were very reasonable and good selection.

Food was fab. The portion sizes were brilliant and left the restaurant really stuffed. The lamb shank was out of this world. Nice appetizers alongside bread, butter and oil.

Well organised and felt like a family atmosphere.

Really lovely meal served hot. Superb starter and sweet. All the girls (waitresses) are professional but friendly. Will be returning soon. Keep up the standards.

Amanda's place absolutely tremendous they looked after me when I was poorly they fed me help me guide me and I believe they respected me they have a great future as a great menu and a great place thank you Jane and Simon and family what you did for me and what you do for others what you do for the village the service is next in May you prosper 2020 and well into the future I speak on behalf of myself and a lot of others Happy Christmas Gary

After a long day at work it was good to stay in a cracking family run hotel . The bistro is also"walk in "...food fantastic service 5*...read some of reviews and think they're a bit unfair I've stopped in a few and they were shabby . Come on folks some of the reviews are unfair really!! OK shower turn it on and let it run a bit until it heats up to your desired temp. As I say food faultless staff faultless rooms I'm not complaining really comfortable ......and a good selection of malt to finish the evening . Lovely people lovely homely hotel . Poor reviews mmmmm I think not .

Love it here! Great food, great service, great price!

This was a fabulous evening. It was the 'Beef Night' so all things beef! French onion soup teaser; then beef kofta with salad; roast beef with horseradish mash, roasters, Yorkshire pud and seasonal veg. Yummy! Tiramisu and coffee to finish. Will be looking to partake of takeaway during lockdown. Excellent service and atmosphere.
