Great place to spend nights, and days. The tents are extremely big and can fit even up to 4 ppl, although wifi will not cover them (or ask for tent no. 1). The staff is very welcoming and friendly and local breakfast is served in the morning. You can also ask for dinner which will be served too next to the tents. We also had horseback riding and zip lining, which were both absolutely amazing.

A pretty interesting ecological operation. Great guide through the rainforest possible, the guide explains the plants and animals, beautiful waterfall to admire. In the courtyard itself tasting of all fruit and fruit varieties, detailed explanation of the production of the fertilizer and animal husbandry, delicious food in the restaurant attached.

Unique rustic hotel without some luxuries, but completely immersed in the rainforest. Rooms are individual wooden cabins protected from insects by an inner layer of fabric as a tent. The monkeys will wake you up in the morning, and the wild life noise is loud day and night. If you love or don't mind that kind of stuff, this place is amazing. Great service, good yours, beautiful area. We saw fireflies at night, monkeys, tucans, and all sorts of other animals.

Beautiful nature, in the midst of a really good and dense part of the rainforest. Not to miss walking the trail to the river. Food is not so great. But there is a Soda very close to the property run by by some really nice people. Not the best place for children.

We had an amazing time on our free day from our mission trip last Friday. I m very grateful for the guys that made it possible for me to zip line. What a time! Thank you to all of you. The restaurant food was delish. The view from the restaurant is soothing and relaxing. Loved this place. When I go back to Costa Rica definitely I ll be making a visit to pozo azul with the family.

The close to 9 mile canopy tour was great, but the horseback riding led by Carlos was the best!! Perhaps it was because there were far fewer people on that tour and we got to gallop and really get some good speed as well as cover lots of ground, there were even some stay cows on the path that we helped heard in! The resort has many different activities including water rafting, but it is crowded and you may spend just as much time waiting for the people in other groups to catch up as you do in the activities. Perhaps booking during the week or not in high season would be best if you prefer less crowds, but the grounds are great, the rainforest is amazing and the water is waiting for you to jump in. Let s go!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Pozo Azul! The site is amazing, there were monkeys everywhere and beautiful birds !! Lunch was good and plentiful in a nice building in the middle of the jungle. On the other hand, the canvas huts are quite old or poorly maintained and therefore very dirty. It seemed that no one had washed properly before we arrived. In addition, several holes were present in the tent and the bathroom which allowed several insects to enter. Even the daily maid service was very ordinary. For the price, so it's quite expensive for a dirty rudimentary tent. But without this negative, I did not find such atmosphere in Costa Rica!

We didn't stay at the hotel, we only did one of their rafting tours. They offer quite a few different activities from riding, to rafting, to different hiking tours and discovery tours. The facilities include bathrooms, showers, a gift shop and a restaurant.
They had a couple different rafting options ranging in difficulty from beginners (the one we did) to experienced. It lasted about an hour and a half and was great fun. Our age group ranged from two to seventy six and everyone enjoyed themselves. We were issued helmets and life jackets before going and each boat/raft had a guide who knew the way. The guides also brought a few pineapples that we ate at a halfway point by the river. The river itself was mostly calm with a few small rapids, and if we hadn't wanted to, we wouldn't have had to paddle at all.
I wouldn't recommend bringing anything you wouldn't want wet as we were soaked when we came back. Not only could you fall in by accident, there is also a risk that your fellow rafters will splash you, or vice versa, as that is a big part of the fun. If you do swim in the river, be mindful of the current, it was very strong. Also! Do not do this in flipflops, you will lose them in the river.
All in all a perfect activity for family or friends who like a little bit of adventure.
