H2O Adventures Review

The experience was great. I will definitely go again. But the guides with h2o need to work on professionalism and communication. Because of this, I will go with a different company next time.

What a fun day! Our guide was Kegan and he was great! Fun and friendly guide. Highly recommend this company and our guide.

We have rafted with H2O twice. We had gone as a family trip and had a great time. It gave my daughter the idea to repeat the trip for her birthday party. She even requested to have Lyndsey as our guide again because she liked her so much the first time. My daughter brought cookies for all the guides as part of her birthday party. The guides spontaniously started singing her happy birthday. It was very fun and a great way for us to celebrate while still socially distancing during this pandemic.

That was a lot of fun in an awesome scenery! We had a blast. The H2O team really made this ride special! Thanks guys!

I booked a trip for my family (me, husband, and 3 teenagers) with H2O Adventures for a half-day rafting trip down the South Fork of the American river. Initially, I found out about the company through a current Groupon. In the end, I booked directly through the company because they were offering a deal nearly the exact same price offered on Groupon, and I wanted to make sure the company received all the revenue rather than Groupon taking their cut.

We drove up from the Bay Area that morning and were suited up in our life jackets, helmets, and oars for our 12:30 P.M. trip. After a few safety tips, we were off. The kids and I had never gone river rafting before, and it was just such a perfect introduction! Our guide took excellent care of us, giving us the perfect mix of safety and thrill! The cool river felt awesome on a hot, summer day!

We all agreed that we would like to come back again! And seeing several reviews from people who have rafted before and rave about their return trips, then I think that speaks volumes. Thanks for a great day on the river, H2O Adventures!

Your whole trip depends on the guide you are paired with. I almost wish you can write some preferences when it comes to your personality but that's just a huge task and too much for a rafting company to take on. I loooove whitewater rafting buuuuuuuut - did not enjoy the experience. Our guide was too dry and boring for me. The experience was too controlled and I wanted it to be over 15 minutes into starting. I am still giving a good review as he did his job, but it was just not an enjoyable experience for our group whatsoever. We were able to maintain conversation about work for the 6 hours to not sit in silence but not the experience I hyped us all up for. The guide would be perfect as a teacher, but not for adults looking to take a break from reality and get out into the wilderness for some fun. I looked at other rafts in envy all day long. This could have literally been an 180 degree experience if we got someone else :/ Again, no fault to him. He is who he is, just didn't mesh with who we are.

We had a large group of eight and they were able to accommodate us in the same raft. Our guide was Duff and he made our experience fun for the adults and kids with his personality and knowledge. It was an amazing adventure and want to make this an annual trip.

Our guide, Dave, was very professional and provided a great time. It was a very safe, pleasurable, ride through one of Northern's California's most scenic rivers.

The experience this company has under their belt really shines. The passion that the h2o family has for rafting is something they are eager to share and they do a great job at it. I recommend them to anyone wanting to have fun and be safe on the river. Kelsey and Jeffrey are the guides I had the pleasure of learning from in my guide school experience and I feel I am walking away with everything I wanted and more.

We had a GREAT time! I've rafted with other companies before on different rivers but this was by far the best experience I've had. We choose the middle fork, which was harder than trips I'd done before so it was challenging.
The staff was professional, fun, knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to like what they were doing. The equipment was clean and well maintained and the lunch was a perfect riverside spread.
I would highly recommend them and there's a chance we'll make it back one more time before the summer is over... if not the Yuba in the spring for sure! We had Blake, he was a lot of fun, we enjoyed listening to his jokes, singing and watching him take on Ruck-A-Chucky falls!

Thank you, H2O Adventures! It was great rafting experience. Everybody was extremely helpful! Especially thank you to Fianna (administrator) and Nikola (our guide). Fianna make our big group booking experience as smooth as possible. Also need to say that camping at their site is way better than we could expect in 100 degrees F. River was cold and refreshing and night was quite and much cooler. So we slept very well. Also campfire near the river made all experience magical.

We had a great time rafting the American River yesterday. H20 was great, Ben was our guide and I highly recommend him. The brownies afterwards were very good.

Just recently had a group of 8 and our guide Kegan was awesome. He kept everybody laughing and safe on the water. Awesome photography service and excellent rafting equipment.

Fantastic experience! We have a group of 10 booked the middle fork full day trip. We really enjoyed our first rafting experience, thanks to two fantastic coaches, Tyler & Kelsey! Great companions, great coach, great view, exciting rapids, and the lunch is tasty too (I never thought wraps can be so delicious). Highly recommended.

Only an hour away from Sacramento, this is a fun activity for family and friends. The 11 mile route we took was beautiful, and the grade 2 and 3 runs where manageable. Honestly this is so much fun. Bring your waterproof GoPro for all the beautiful scenery and fun that will be had. H2O adventure employees are great and knowledgeable. Keegan was our guide.

H2O Adventures is the BEST rafting company out there! They have great quality equipment and safety is a priority. Our family of 4 had a raft to ourselves on the South Fork American River with Blake as our guide. Blake was amazing!!! He was very knowledgeable, encouraging and fun. We had the best day and can t wait to come back and do it again!!!

Great experience! We took the class III & IV and had a great time. Lunch was included for the 17 mile trip, great guide (Tyler) he pointed out all the history of surrounding buildings and tunnels. Will definitely book and ride again!

These guys are awesome! They say they love white water rafting and it shows. Their skill is well displayed, their enthusiasm is infectious and concern for your is safety is second to none. This was my wife's first class IV River and she had nothing but a smile on her face and praise for our guide. I have rafted with several rafting companies, I highly recommend H2O Adventures. They are the best!

Best water rafting ever They serve cold water , popsicles and brownies after rafting which is saving life. We were tired but happy.

Dave was a great tour guide! He gave lots of interesting info and let us do some extra stuff that the bigger companies skipped entirely. We hit every feature and even paddled back upriver to surf some rapids.

The fresh baked brownies at the end were a sweet touch to send our fun filled day.

My wife and i booked a trip with h2o adventures on the north yuba river it was our first time booking with them. They where very professional and there safety system blew me away . We had an amazing time they provided lunch and an extremely fun day. Kelsey was our guide she made it fun but was also very professional and great about giving instructions on boat safety and how to paddle as a team.Looking forward to many more trips. I took 4 13-year-old girls and one boy on the south fork of the American River trip. Our guide Keegan made it a lot of fun and we always felt safe. Well as safe as you can white water rafting I guess. When we we reached Folsom Lake and many of the other boating companies were having to sit and wait for what appeared to be a long time a jet ski pulled right up and hauled us all to the shuttle bus and off we went within 10 minutes.
Good vibes and fun from start to finish.

Our dragonboat team went on 3 boats but I did not feel separated from our big group. Many things offered that I really really appreciate - go pro mounts on helmets, wet suits, hot shower and especially homemade warm fresh brownies that greeted us at the end of our run. Thank you H2O Adventures! We shall return!

Today my sons and I did the Lower Fork with Zara as our guide.

Prior to our trip, Fianna made sure we were properly taken care of and prepared. Amazing customer service.

We arrived early and could not have been greeted better. At least 4 separate staff checked on us and made us feel special and took our temps for the whole Covid check.

Once on the water, Zara led us on an incredible journey. She is smart, funny, strong and easy going. She combined fun with safety and appreciation for our surroundings. She even took extra pictures. Zara was F'ing awesome.

Along the journey, Zara encouraged us to explore the water. I'm not a small guy and needed help getting back in the raft. Zara pulled me in easily. This young lady is yoked.

She also allowed us to jump off a 15ft rock. We were hesitant but her encouragement was perfect. What a rush!

At one point, my 11 year old fell in at one of the rapids. Zara handled it like a total pro. He was scared but has not stopped talking about her since we returned. Pretty sure he has a crush. Lol

At the end of the run, Tyler drove us back to our car after hooking us up with some amazing brownies. Talking to him was the perfect ending to the day as I could sense the passion and joy he has for his buisness.

I wish I had pictures and videos of how fun it was, but I didn't want to lose my phone in the river. My raft guide was Brian, aka Duffy, and he was absolutely incredible. One of the friendliest, funniest, and most skilled guides out there. I had so much fun on the river. There were absolutely no problems with the rafting or anything.

Amazing group of people! From the beginning Fianna was so great at working with us. Fianna was accommodating and easy to work with as we had 18 family members trying to confirm schedules. H20 Adventures then provided great direction and information for us to be prepared for our trip. We had three boats of 6 and three amazing guides. Every single person in our group enjoyed their day and I cannot thank enough Tyler, Ben and Zara. We had a very high energy group with experienced rafters to first timers. You made the day amazing for all of us! THANK YOU. We will be recommending you to all our friends and will be using you for future trips from here on out!

but running running trips on the American forks and Yuba, they cater to your vacation needs. H20 truly knows how to give whitewater rafting clients the best day ever.

The entire staff was helpful, entertaining and friendly, but special shout out to our guide Keegan for giving us an awesome day. Highly recommend this company.

Our guide Peaches was very experienced and helpful, with a great sense of humor making the trip fun for everyone. H2O is a great outfit to explore the South fork of the American river!

My older sister Kate, her niece Makayla and I came on H2O Adventures on July 31, and Blake was our Guide. And I gotta say, what an adventure it was.

Despite the risks of Covid-19 going on in the world, rafting on the South Fork was very exciting and made it worth it. And Blake was not only professional by not only showing us how to row the paddles and pulling a person back onto the boat safely and work as a team. But he also made the trip entertaining, fun with his sense of humor, how to surf Rapids, and definitely brought out the young adventurer out of her comfort zone to make her birthday present memorable. Plus, a really great singing voice and fun cover songs to sing for the river.

Yes, I definitely recommend H2O Adventures to anyone who is not only look for a time to raft on rapid. But with people who make river rafting a great time.

We had a group of 14 rafting the end of June from KC, Iowa, Seattle and locals and had an absolutely amazing and memorable time with ages from 14-55. Our guides Duff, Danny, Teagan and Kelsey took very good care of us, were tons of fun and made the all day trip down the Middle Fork of the American River unforgettable. The lunch and snacks were healthy and filling. Our group had to make an additional stop because one of our teens was having some anxiety. All the guides were supportive and a special shout out to Duff who engaged her and got her confidence back up to continue. We are still talking about our wonderful experience and would raft again with these guides and company in a heart beat. Fianna did our scheduling and both she and Tyler the owner were very responsive when answering my email & phone questions.

This experience can only be described as pure awesomeness. The exhilaration and sense of awe brought upon by the Middle Fork of the river is a must-see. As for the company, it is made up of very dedicated and hard-working yet personable guides who are patient and understand what the needs of different people are. Overall, this company is superior to all surrounding companies for rafting and the experience by the guides is unmatched.

So much fun! Dave was a blast of a guide, and it was clear H2O Adventures not only provides the safest experience down the rapids (the helmets say it all) but the most special! We did things and stopped by cool spots none of the other groups did. Thrilled to have been out this weekend and can t wait to do an overnight! There s a photography company, Hotshot, who captures your photos on the river, too :)

H2O is seriously the only way to go if you want to have any fun on the river! The guides are sweet, so talented, and an absolutely hoot. We did a 2 day rafting trip and they cooked the best food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for us and took care of everything like champs. Zara was our guide this time and she knew ALL the fun things to do on the river. Would 100% recommend this company if it s your first time rafting or your hundredth!

I can't comment on their rafting abilities because I haven't rafted with them, but I can say that they're great people. My son and I rafted Pauley Creek near Downieville, which feeds into the Yuba River, and H2O does trips on the Yuba. We had a mishap and lost our boat and gear (about $3,000 worth) , and had to climb out of the canyon. I called the Sheriff, the Forest Service, and the commercial rafting companies in the area to report the missing boat. The Sheriff called to say they saw the boat still on Pauley, and H2O did a guide training trip on Pauley the next day. They retrieved our boat and gear, and then transported it to their boat shed on the American River, which is about two hours closer to home than Downieville. They didn't have to do any of that, but they did just because they're really great people. If I ever do a commercial run on a river H2O runs, I'll definitely go with them, and I'll definitely recommend them to anyone who asks about a commercial trip on a river H2O runs. We are extremely grateful and appreciative!

We had the BEST time on the American river with H20 Adventures. They EXCEEDED our expectations in every way. Fianna, Devin, & Tyler were outstanding to deal with and their communication was exceptional. If you want to go with a local family owned and operated outfit that is 1st class, look no further. Our group will be back for sure!

Completely worth it. It was a very nice experience with a very qualified, profesional and fun team. Also they recorded us with a Dron and a GoPro for free, it was amazing.

Kelsey and Jeffrey Compton made my trip amazing down the American river. We had fun rafting and watching other companies dump pssagers. They prepared a delicious river side meal and kept everyone safe. Won't raft anywhere else after today!

So in a random whim we decided to go rafting for the first time. After a quick search we found H2O. The price was reasonable and the reviews seem great. Now here s how our day went. We were greeted at the meet up area by very friendly people. Got to the loading area and they explained everything to us in great detail and checked all of our safety equipment. I felt very safe and secure. We had two groups and loaded the rafts. Our guide Nacala, was fantastic, gave us very clear instructions and made us feel safe and had the best fun personality. Our raft felt like a group of friends quickly. Later on I feel in the water during a rather large rapid, which was terrifying but I was scooped up quickly and checked for injuries. I felt very cared for safe and looked after. I felt a genuine care from Nacala and was very supportive. Now comes lunch. They have every fixing for a great sandwich you can think of. Chips and fruit and cookies. It was a bomb lunch. We continued on and everything was perfect. Once we got back to the van they had homemade brownies made by the owners mom......how perfect!!! By the end of the experience I felt like I made great friends during and absolutely amazing, thrilling, and life changing experience. I can not wait to book a trip again with them.

Super dope experience, the whole team is great! Our guide Ben was amazing and the camp site was super relaxing. The driver was so sweet and even brought us homemade brownies!!
