Wow a lot of changes taking place at H&L. Temperature controlled plant, new equipment, investment in people. More opportunities for people to advance. This is a place where not only are your ideas accepted they are expected.
This place is a joke, the pay is terrible! I would never recommend anyone to be employed by this company. Yes you get vacation time but you can't take a vacation because you are not allowed to take 2 days off in a row. Just a bunch of young low life looser's that work on 3rd shift! I've watched my son literally lose his confidence because of the way he was treated. This company needs to be turned into Michigan Labor board, period!
I wouldn't recommend working here to anyone unless you really are down on your luck and need a temporary job. (or if your a hot young girl, you'll breeze right in and have every male supervisor and maintenance guy holding your hand on every shift) Favoritism is one of the biggest issue plaguing this place along with inappropriate supervisors, lack of communications, always running out of stuff you need and bullying. Starting pay is a joke just like management and HR. You'd be happier working at McDonalds.
H&L not only has great expectations of the product they manufacture but also of the quality of their employees.This I believe truly makes them a great company to work for and also a part of an even bigger manufacturing family.
This company has given me the opportunity to grow. They are making many changes to be a great company. We are getting new equipment, working on quality systems, better training, better pay. Just hooked up air conditioning which is amazing during the day. If you are a hard worker it will be noticed. I have worked on all shifts in various departments and enjoyed all of it. I have made many friends at work over the years. This is a team oriented work envirement which I love. I could go on and on.
