Very disappointed with the discovery zone. Two attractions were closed due to the wind, understandable. But two of the bungee jumpers are broke too. I asked the staff about the jumpers and the staff said the winches were broken and to expensive to fix. Wth 200 ish as a family with a disappointing time. The mountain coaster was fun but the line was way to long.
Personally i wouldn't recommend the place for the money.

Great mountain with a variety of slopes and levels. Good for intermediate to expert. Polite people and fast lifts. No lines during midweeks (went there Friday). Get the primetime tickets that are also good for night skiing (great value for money). Only 2 hours from Boston and the ride is very easy (mostly highway miles).
It had been about 20 years since I put my sticks on last and the have changed dramatically since then. Three of us went for some spring skiing, including one getting a lesson. The weather and trails were for great for late season and the rentals performed flawlessly. The instructor for the ski lesson was great. He was the only one for the lesson so it was basically a private lesson. It went so well he was off the bunny hill and on the big chair lift skiing those greens by the end of the day.
Was just there for a celebration of life for Joanne Clough. The presentation of the food was terrible. The food was put into plastic bowls and plates. No thought was put into it. The guest book and picture table had a wrinkled table cloth with no skirting. I know laconia country club was paying for this. They got screwed! Would never recommend gunstock to anyone.
Clean well groomed facilities! Trails were in great shape in spite of a lack of natural snow. Lots of man made snow with base depths of about 30". Everyone that we encountered was so friendly and helpful. But not that forced kind of friendly. Very positive experience today will come back.
Fun skiing range of trails adequate in the conditions we found, easy to reach from our MA home, panoramic vistas to soak in and very positive lodge staff, food and all the conveniences for a day there that only requires planning for that initial walk a uphill to grab a good choice of lifts.
Nice little ski resort for day trips. The staff were second to none and they really make the experience worth the trip. Great place for families and beginners.
Night skiing was good. Some trails were not that well lit. Went on the 3rd weekend in February. Trails were way too icey. Kind of wish the bar had live music. Cheap for night skiing with rentals included. Great view!
Nice place to spend couple of days summer or winter ... lots of activities for kids and adults... camping spots are OK, coud be better(my spot). Pool, free shower . Campsites!
Horrible mountain, service is garbage . Everything is a "liability " and park crew sits in the shed smoking pot instead of actually working on features. Food is trash and way overpriced
We had a GREAT experience at Gunstock! My family is living in Mass while I work there and we have never been skiing. We were welcomed, and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful! I can NOT wait to come back!
Great visit, very accommodating. They follow a sort of time share method for renting rooms, but were more than happy to have us, knowing that I was not signing up for anything. Great stay, thanks guys!!
Great family mountain. Personally I love bigger more aggressive resorts, but gunstock is great. We had lunch at the powder keg which was great as far as ski resort food goes. The rfid cards keep the line moving quickly. We never wait to get one the lift. Amazing day over all.
The Penny Hill is a great transition from the bunny slope but the next step up is too large. Not enough green runs and one on the trail map that didn't seem to exist, which meant I ended up with no choice but to descend a black diamond, a bit of a shock when you're looking for a green run.! Was not happy. I would advise stepping up from Penny to the Smith blue run for the safest transition. Coming down from the top of the mountain, Flintlock seems the best option despite some steeps sections and it does flatten out. Due to the closure of the continuation, it's best to switchback and head towards Smith again. Don't bother eating at the resort as pricing is extortionate and the food didn't look great. A curled up piece of pizza was $5 and so I optrd for a Snickers and a Powerade for the princely sum of $6+. Have to say, the view from the top of the mountain on a clear day is pretty nice.
Came all the way from AZ for the tough mudder - ordered 2 burgers and a turkey sandwich from the restaurant to go - told the waitress that we were in a hurry so that we could meet my daughter at the next obstacle. Unknown to us, the waitress became the bar tender. She totally ignored our order until we asked another staff member to find out where she and our food was. (Wait time at this point had been 40 minutes!!!) 2 ice cold hockey pucks and a pork (not turkey) sandwich were finally delivered to us as we ran to watch my daughter only to learn that we had just missed her!!!! There are no words to express how the inconsideration of that waitress impacted on our day!!! And to add insult to injury, the food was horrible!
Great location for an event like Soulfest. Something to do or see for everyone of every age. The only challenge bcuz of the terrain would be wheelchair travel. But really professionally run. Definitely going on my list as a yearly event!
We've have a home 5 minutes from here mountain so skiing there has been the norm there for the past few years. What else has been the norm? There is 0 logic when snow making, and the food is insanely overpriced. Fix customers issues and the resort will be awesome
Was an amazing place to have a fun day. We camped the whole weekend, and did a day in the park. Camp sites are a little smushed together but still a good time.
Large campsites with plenty of trees for privacy. Pricing was in line with what we expected. Many many available sites. Nice pool. Many pathways to walk through the forest. Many daytime sports and leisure activities nearby. People at the office are friendly and helpful.
Our first time there, and it was beautiful, we had a great time. I didn't know about the adventure park until 3:00 on the second day had we known we would have bought the all day pass. We did by the lift and coaster ride which were awesome. We will be back in a few weeks. Thank you Karen and Jim Bonevelle
Great place to ski that is really close to RI. Always hair with the conditions and the value... Especially skiing and on Sat nights when they have Gunstock rocks!
Great place for family. Plenty of things to do year round. Non-sking season there is water sports. Mountain coaster. Ziplining . Canoeing and paddle boats. Plus don't forget about the camping. Skiing is awesome not only do day time they also do night skiing. Highly recommended must check it out.
Best view in the East looks down on Lake Winnipesaukee and the alligator (a big island). Blueberries in the summer, night skiing in winter -- don't miss the sunsets from White Flint ridge above Tiger Steeps!
Gunstock is our go-to area, living near the Seacoast. My kids board, and like the slopes. They say they are well groomed, and they can occasionally find powder. I am not boarding or skiing this year, but discovered their extensive Outdoor Center, and Nordic trails. Lots of room to XC ski, or snowshoe around. They groom and make snow for the Nordic trails, and have a few tails through the trees for snowshoes. The lodge is from a 1937 Works Project, and is in great shape. On the bottom floor is a large room with picnic tables, seasonal lockers (for rent), some open cubbies to keep stuff in, and (when open) an item-check, where you can leave your stuff safely. The 2nd floor has a restaurant and a cafeteria. The restaurant is nice, and not too expensive for being a captive audience. The food is good for the price. The cafeteria sells some of the same food as the restaurant (the salads) packed up to-go, but it feel pricey buying that way. The cafeteria also has pizza, burgers, soup and other hot food. Above the 2nd floor seating area is a balcony. Occasionally there is a restaurant open up there (please wait to be seated), and a window where you can purchase beer. Outside of the lodge is another building where there is the Welcome Center, where you can buy tickets, rentals, there is a first-aid office on the ground floor. The second floor is the well stocked Ski Shop. There is another building, the Children s Center, with another snack bar. This is where lessons will meet up, and the many students who are there through the very affordable Outreach Program.
Gunstock is the best ski area in NH IMHO. They may not have the most terrain or the biggest vertical but they are the mos friendly and helpful resort in NH. Come to gunstock and have a great time! Everytime!!
I had a great experience here with my friends! We had a group trip up in New Hampshire and settled on this resort because of the price and reviews. The trails are challenging for an intermediate and at some points downright frightening. By the end of the trip I decided to make Gunstock a go-to for our ski trips!
