Absolutely unbelievable spot for all things music right in the heart of Columbus. The service here is spectacular. Feels like home but also like you are the guest of honor when you walk through the doors. Check out the discounted music books and vinyl as well. I wish I lived closer. But, I will make the hour drive when I can! Love these people

This is a great shop. I have purchased several guitars here and the staff is great to deal with. It doesn't matter if I am looking to purchase a new guitar or just a few picks they treat me the same.

Don't overlook this local guitar shop. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They also are willing to deal. I have bought two guitars from them over the last couple of years, a used Dean acoustic and a new Parker electric. No one else around had the Parker, it is a great guitar for an excellent price.

Their new place is clean and spacious with lots of inventory. Check it out.

Very impressed. Not only was I treated with tremendous hospitality and respect, I saw the same with beginners and their families, and as well players who were obviously very well seasoned. The shop owner showed exceptional knowledge and used it to get people matched to what they needed, and did so affordably. I definitely felt like I mattered.

Was looking to purchase a first guitar and get into taking some lessons. Having been a drummer for some time when I was younger I was always fascinated with guitars. I remember how some other places treat customers but this was not the case. I think my wife and I spent and hour in the store trying to decide on what to buy. I was never pressured with add ons or anything. They answered what had to be a ton of questions I had and no one seemed to ever get annoyed. Customer for life here thanks Brian!

This place is honestly amazing! I ve been getting into guitars again, and it s been tricky to say the least. I ve been on here a few times, and it s always been so pleasant. Recently, I went in with my foot pedal that wasn t working correctly. The staff were so helpful and helped me trouble shoot the pedal. We found the issue! Unfortunately, despite being told they had someone who could fix it, I decided to let the petal go... this was in favor of buying a better quality amp! It was amazing for me to have someone be excited and helpful. Just nice to have the same energy and passion for me learning about the different effects was a nice treat. Another great point is how neat and organized the store is! It s probably hard with the amount of selection they do have, but they are doing a great job there as well. So overall the good reviews do speak for themselves and give this place a visit!

The place is packed with nothing but sound and the sound is so beautiful also it smells kind of decent there LOL everyone is super cool and they will take care of you if they can t they ll tell you what website or place they definitely will!

Special-ordered a bass that showed up with a funky neck - they tried to adjust it out but it ended up having to go back to the distributor / get replaced with a new instrument. Said distributor is apparently operated out of some Lovecraftian horror-dimension, as this was easier said than done.

Long and short is Brian worked his tail off to make it right, and I walked out a happy customer.

Bought a Kala KA-CGE ukulele for my daughter. The uke is amazing - very good quality. The staff was super helpful and knowledgable - also personable and trustworthy. Will definitely buy future instruments from Guitar City.

Love this store!!! My son is into playing guitar now and Brian was very helpful and showed him how to change the strings on his Floyd rose bridge. They are super friendly there and are very informative. We will not go back to a big chain music store again.

This place is incredible. I was concerned going into a speciality guitar store not knowing much about what I was looking for. The owner personally took time to help me understand differences in the items and the terminology. I loved the store and the employees and it's now my go-to store for anything musical.

An amazing guitar store with a helpful and kind staff. It also has great prices and excellent teachers. While it may not be as big as Guitar Center or Sam Ash, it is a great music store for a small town like Columbus.

I bought my first guitar from Guitar City. It was a big deal for me, because I'm a VERY picky shopper. I had visited other competitors' shops and didn't find anything that I was willing to lay money down on. I walked into Guitar City and was greeted with kindness. The manager was very patient with me and allowed me to take my time choosing a guitar, while also understanding that I was a novice guitarist. A Washburn caught my eye and I knew I had to buy it. The manager even offered to cover tax for me! That was four months ago, and today I own the Washburn as well as my Seagull Entourage. I took the next step by taking guitar lessons there. I have horrible stage fright, and I was reluctant, but the owner of Guitar City was sympathetic enough to offer my first lesson for free. Jason (my teacher) has been very understanding and is one of the best music teachers. This is an amazing store, and if it weren't for Guitar City, I wouldn't have my beautiful guitars and my current skills. I highly recommend you make a visit, even if you don't play an instrument!

These guys always treat me like a person above anything. The prices are great. They can get anything that they don t have in stock. I always go here for music gear and recommend everyone go there.

It is a good place to buy any musical instrument you want and they are also very good Honda and they let you play those instruments even if you don't buy it, you can play all the instruments you want
Be it a guitar, ukulele or piano
Electric guitars, basses etc
The important thing is that you have to go with the desire to go to this place and grab the instrument you want
So don't worry and go shopping

I ve been debating learning guitar for years and finally decided to take a leap and Guitar City makes it s super affordable and so personalized! Really worth the price ! Their guitars are also really good quality for a very fair price Glad I came here !!

Didn't spend much money when I was there but I wanted too. Im not local to the area but the owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. If you love music talk to him because he does too. Prices seem reasonable and and if this shop was local to me I would be in there every day.

As someone who is not a talented musician, I always feel welcomed coming into Brian's shop! I have picked up a few ukuleles over the years, and each time Brian, as well as his staff have been nothing but helpful with the decision process. Guitar City is a great place to just sit and practice or shoot the breeze about all the shop has to offer.

With a wonderfully friendly staff, great selection of instruments (both new and used,) quick ordering and shipping on special orders, clean/family friendly atmosphere, and just an all around amazing customer experience, Guitar City EASILY rivals other music shops in and around Columbus, especially Guitar Center!

Brian (the owner) is about the friendliest guy you're going to meet. If you want to go on and browse, that's fine - he won't push you. But he's quite happy to answer questions and talk. He had my name down by the second visit. I haven't been there yet when he wasn't talking to a customer by first name and having actually known them a good while.

The prices are good, too. I usually expect things to be a couple extra bucks in a mom-and-pop since they can't buy in bulk, but the prices for general accessories seem to be the same as a major retailer. There are some real steals in there for instruments. You'll also find a few CDs from local artists, which is really refreshing - part of the community in music.

It's definitely worth checking out, and you'll probably find it's worth coming back.

Awesome place and people!!! The owner Brian definitely loves what he does, it shows in his work and how he treats his emplyees and customers. Just a great guy. He also has a variety of awesome guitars. I love the environment, positive vibes. Definitely worth going back and visiting.

The people that works here understands about what a working musicians need. They will help and guide you to whatever you don't understand , very friendly , let you try out their equipment before you buy it , and they don't rush you (which is what I like).

Absolute heaven for left handed guitarists that are tired of receiving bad advice or service or lack of inventory. The staff is knowledgeable about each guitar AND the company. They even restring right handed ones along with fixing the bridge angle and nuts!
