Love this place. Fabulous service and food. Traditional.
Love this place. Fabulous service and food. Traditional.
Great atmosphere and the piano player at the bar was amazing,,,food and service is really spot on
- The staff, they make all the diff, we go there to spend time, not really eat...so if they can make our evening nice, all kudos. The manager accommodated us despite not having a reservation on a busy Saturday night. He checked upon us several times if everything was ok. The servers were busy, but still didn't give us the feeling. Everyone made us feel special.
- The ambiance. Live piano by Dave was enchanting while we waited. Very warm and fuzzy feeling of an old establishment. A cute spacious patio, a nice indoor space..loved it
- Finally the Food. We ordered the Calamari, Chicken Picatta and Tiramisu. The Calamari was good. The Chicken was in a lemon sauce with pasta...just finger licking good. The Tiramisu was a little frozen on the inside..but tasty.
Overall we had an awesome time. Thanx to the overall performance of this establishment.
Delicious food and an elegant, fun atmosphere. I ordered the scrod al forno and it was perfectly cooked. I would definitely eat here again!
Excellent Italian Food! Great experience. A very outgoing and generous owner. Great times, atmosphere and conversations! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Staff a f and food were impeccable. Onky thing I could say is I wished the bread came out warm. Ok there than that, excellent.
Great service with a beautiful atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious.
Food was not good, the garlic, cheese bread was terrible, it was basically toasts with garlic on top!! And the Napolitano Pizza was awful, the mozzarella was non existent !!
This place treats you like family from the moment you pull into the parking lot. An attendant helped us park and get out after dinner. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and willing to make recommendations The based off of our requests. The live piano player was great, which added to the atmosphere and decor of then restaurant. Last but not least, the food was delicious.
LOVE the atmosphere, wonderful service, awesome menu to choose from. My family took me there for my Birthday. They handled our large group efficiently! My must go to when in Ohio!
Overpriced food with no seasoning. $17 for bland shrimp alfredo 4 peices of white bread NOT GARLIC. First time in little Italy and I'm not impressed could have gone to Friday's for better pasta
This was my first time here and the food was amazing and reasonably priced for the size portion you get. I'll definitely be back. It is also the oldest restaurant in Cleveland, it has been there since 1918.
I wanted to LOVE this Little Italy restaurant, but...it didn't measure up to any of my favorite Italian restaurants. It's got charm, ambience, an extensive menu, but.. spaghetti was average, Bolognese forgettable. Still looking for a GREAT Recommendation..
Long time favorite place for dinner! I've never had a complaint in years. The outdoor patio out back has a great atmosphere. Delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Love this place! FREE PARKING next door! Try the Chicken Picatta, Yum!!
This restaurant is Awesome and soooo good! I'm definitely coming back again and again! I love Little Italy! Grazie Guarino's!
The food was amazing and the service was excellent!
Food was great and the service staff was very kind, especially the owner Scott who opened his patio so we could sit outside and spoke to us for a while and invited us back.
Favorite restaurant in little italy. Beautiful outdoor patio, great service, nice variety of apps to go with our vino!
I have been going here for years, the food is fantastic, the service is always great (Sam is the best!) And the atmosphere is great.
I love this place!
Cute place! Nice patio! My husband liked his food but I wasn t exited about my raviolis, not bad but it didn t taste fresh
Lunch. Great salad to start. I got the meatball sandwich, my mother got the eggplant rollup. Both were fantastic. We each had a glass of multipuciano, a favourite wine since first having it in Riomaggiore, Italy almost 20 years ago.
Lovely patio! Facinating history. Fabulous service. Delicious!
Food was amazing as usual but service was way off tonight.
Just don't like the idea that your food is carried up the stairs from the basement I believe where they cook don't think that's too sanitary also thought that the Italian bread that was brought to the table would have been not sliced had to keep asking for things from the waitress Salad could have been a little better but the sauce and meatballs were good also eggplant was I believe deep fried pretty thin Also no pizza on the menu Servings were small:(
Excellent home made Italian food, never disappointed
Food was delicious and Hannah was very attentive. Very friendly employees. A delightful evening.
No. I went here to try the pizza specifically, and their Capri style is listed as a signature item, so I ordered it. I got a completely dry circle of yeast brittle with some rubber mozz, tomato slices, and a basil garnish. No sauce. Should I have been impressed as the menu implicated? Am I seriously to consider this a quality option to remember them by? Either the dough recipe is terrible or the oven they use doesn't work with it. And something needs adjusting in regards to a sauce or the quality of toppings. I love the culture of our Little Italy, but this restaurant has, as others in the area, reinforced my perception that it's more miss than hit for food.
True Italian hospitality, very welcoming.
Authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding flavors.
Dinner started with fresh baked Italian bread and butter on the side. For dinner
I had the manicotti which was filled with perfectly seasoned ricotta and top with mozzarella and their famous marinara sauce. My Husband had the evening special which was scrod with spaghetti served on the side. Both dinners were delicious and filling. Our waitress was very attentive especially if we wanted more bread or coffee. Atmosphere classic old world Italian.
A true memorable experience. We plan on returning soon.
It's a Great restaurant!! Phenomenal food, it's really fresh too! I had the lasagna a 50yr old recipe. .....yummm. my husband had the seafood. He said the calimari was perfect! Say hi to Rachel when you get there. She'll make sure you've had a great time!
From the wait time to be seated in a barely busy restaurant to the wait times on our dishes alone, I would rate our experience as poor. To compound our experience, the food wasn't even mediocre. First, we were served bagged grocery store Italian bread with butter packets. Next, we paid 7$ for two wedges of fried mozzarella. Then, our entrees has clearly been microwaved as my chicken piccata partially cold. My side of pasta consisted of a bland sauce with thick overdone noodles. My wife's gnocchi pesto was flavorless and very chewy. The outdoor atmosphere, which included a nice, talented, calm sounding jazz band, along with the nice lighting, were too good for the service and food. I'm honestly baffled at how this restaurant has a 4.1/5 stars on google.
Food was outstanding marinara sauce tasted just like my grandmother's from Sicily.
A slightly sweet taste but not overbearing.
Service was attentive but not annoying .
The wife and I really enjoyed our meal!!
As we Italian's say " Manga "
At Guarino's!
Fred & Julie
Great food and great service. Liked the atmosphere on the patio.
Awsome food! Great veiws in the garden patio! Very homie
Very good food! Excellent service!! Would definitely go back!
Absolutely phenomenal place is very cute service amazing food 10 stars
For and sevice ok. Not like the neighboring restaurants - who have delicious food and great service. Save your time and money, go someplace else.
Guarinos Restaurant is the finest little Italian restaurant. The food is excellent just like grandma Leoni use to make. The atmosphere it s so serene and comforting. It reminds me of being in my immigrant Abruzzi Italian grandparents home. The patio is so lovely like dining out in a tiny Italian restaurant in a little Italian village.
Food was great. Portion size was good. Staff was wonderful. We're from Columbus but we'll be back.
They put up with me after I mispronounced Corleone and didn't know who it was, so 5/5
Outstanding restaurant, outstanding food. The service prompt, server was very attentive to our needs, and very polite. We had the veal, lasagna, and spags and meatballs. Large salads and the wedding soup was terrific. Don't miss this restaurant.
Waited for an hour to get our food. The Italian wedding soup had 1 tiny meatball and tasted like it came out of a can. Our server only took our order (which she got wrong) and never came back until I had to hunt her down for the check. The hostess was trying to make sure everyone in the restaurant had refills on water and acted more like a server than a hostess. The food was very average at best. Very disappointed. I will not recommend or return.
Tremendous authentic Italian restaurant. The best Lasagne and Manicotti I have ever tasted. Love the outdoor seating in the summer too!
My wife and I went today. We sat at the table for over 25min no server attended us. And we left the place.
Always love going to this restaurant! Best Italian around!!!
same great food for 30 years that I have been going there
Very good Italian restaurant. I had the lasagna. It may be the best that I have eaten
I love this restaurant, the management, the service , the food. They make you feel like family and that is hard to beat theses days
First visit and won't be the last. Service was great and so was the food. So many options went Veal saltimbocca.
Friday February 26th, Tony and I went to Little Italy to eat at Guarino's the oldest restaurant in Cleveland. They opened in 1918.
The street is very narrow and crowded.
They have a parking lot but its very tight also
We went inside, it was very dark and slight romantic for the middle of the afternoon. The hostess greeted us immediately and took us to the second room. We were seated in the corner.
We ordered our drinks I went with soda and Tony had a Miller Light. They also gave us iced water and some bread with oil & balsamic vinegar. It was delicious but I would have enjoyed some butter. Waitress was very busy and very rude!!!
We both ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and the bread with butter and Romano cheese with marinara sauce. The food arrived without the bread so we had to wait longer for the bread, but it came out wrong, 10 minutes later with bruschetta. So the owner put them in the house.
We had a nice meal, it was very filling!!!
To be truthful the noodles tasted like old dish water, it was a little off putting but the sauce and meatballs were good. Personally I would not go back again, too many other restaurants to try out.
I hope your experience is better than ours!!!
We stopped in for lunch on Saturday. They sat us in the courtyard outside. It was a great atmosphere. The food was tasty and the service was good.
Wonderful meal, a super pleasant evening on the patio. Fireworks on the street as we were leaving were a Little Italy summertime treat.
This is the most welcoming place I have ever eaten. Food was amazing and the outdoor seating area is beautiful!
In the heart of Cleveland's Little Italy. Great food, great service and off street parking. I had the eggplant parm, my wife the gnocchi, both were excellent. So glad we chose Guarino's.
This is my favorite restaurant. Always enjoy the food, atmosphere, and staff. Always recommend friends to try it out when they get the chance.
Wonderful patio at the back in the garden. Social distancing respected. Delicious food and a good selection of wine
From the food to the atmosphere it's the perfect representation of Italian American cuisine!
The food was delicious! We had lemon chicken piccata, manicotti, calamari, mussels and fried cheese and everything was fresh well seasoned and just plain delicious! The staff was super friendly and the interior was vintage and fun.
Very friendly atmosphere. The service and food was authentic and prepared with love.
Food is delicious. Restaurant and patio are beautiful. Enjoy it every time we visit Cleveland
Went on a Monday night so not surprised it wasn't busy. Staff is very friendly but slow moving and they don't seem to know their menu well. Our server didn't know anything about the wine they actually place on all the tables to start with either (all we asked is what it tastes like). The interior is pretty worn and dated looking. There were also a lot of fruit flies buzzing around our table constantly diving into our heads or around our food which was off putting. Even so, delicious food all around. Their marinara sauce is great. I also loved their lasagna and bruschetta. Worth a visit but with so many great Italian Restaurants on the strip this one doesn't stand out nearly as much as some of the others especially since the prices are comparable. Not disappointing but also not blown away.
Real Italian Restaurant. Little Italy in Cleveland. Very impressed. Had live music. Good with children.
They have a very large and very nice outdoor dining area or patio. We were there in a Sunday service was very good Inspire their being 10 of us. Food was also very good and hot
Cute place, amazing food and very friendly staff!! The decor is beautiful.
On a nice day sit on the patio, have a bottle of Chianti, and some fried calamari or the lasagna.
Food was good, server wasn't very friendly. Overall a cool atmosphere.
Quite expensive and a limited menu during special events. It's obvious they take pride in their fancy food and fancy names, but it's nothing to be amazed at. While the interior is beautiful and full of culture, there's many other restaurants in Little Italy that offer better food at better prices.
