- The staff, they make all the diff, we go there to spend time, not really eat...so if they can make our evening nice, all kudos. The manager accommodated us despite not having a reservation on a busy Saturday night. He checked upon us several times if everything was ok. The servers were busy, but still didn't give us the feeling. Everyone made us feel special.

- The ambiance. Live piano by Dave was enchanting while we waited. Very warm and fuzzy feeling of an old establishment. A cute spacious patio, a nice indoor space..loved it

- Finally the Food. We ordered the Calamari, Chicken Picatta and Tiramisu. The Calamari was good. The Chicken was in a lemon sauce with pasta...just finger licking good. The Tiramisu was a little frozen on the inside..but tasty.

Overall we had an awesome time. Thanx to the overall performance of this establishment.

This place treats you like family from the moment you pull into the parking lot. An attendant helped us park and get out after dinner. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and willing to make recommendations The based off of our requests. The live piano player was great, which added to the atmosphere and decor of then restaurant. Last but not least, the food was delicious.

This was my first time here and the food was amazing and reasonably priced for the size portion you get. I'll definitely be back. It is also the oldest restaurant in Cleveland, it has been there since 1918.

I wanted to LOVE this Little Italy restaurant, but...it didn't measure up to any of my favorite Italian restaurants. It's got charm, ambience, an extensive menu, but.. spaghetti was average, Bolognese forgettable. Still looking for a GREAT Recommendation..

Lunch. Great salad to start. I got the meatball sandwich, my mother got the eggplant rollup. Both were fantastic. We each had a glass of multipuciano, a favourite wine since first having it in Riomaggiore, Italy almost 20 years ago.

Just don't like the idea that your food is carried up the stairs from the basement I believe where they cook don't think that's too sanitary also thought that the Italian bread that was brought to the table would have been not sliced had to keep asking for things from the waitress Salad could have been a little better but the sauce and meatballs were good also eggplant was I believe deep fried pretty thin Also no pizza on the menu Servings were small:(

No. I went here to try the pizza specifically, and their Capri style is listed as a signature item, so I ordered it. I got a completely dry circle of yeast brittle with some rubber mozz, tomato slices, and a basil garnish. No sauce. Should I have been impressed as the menu implicated? Am I seriously to consider this a quality option to remember them by? Either the dough recipe is terrible or the oven they use doesn't work with it. And something needs adjusting in regards to a sauce or the quality of toppings. I love the culture of our Little Italy, but this restaurant has, as others in the area, reinforced my perception that it's more miss than hit for food.

True Italian hospitality, very welcoming.

True Italian hospitality, very welcoming.
Authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding flavors.
Dinner started with fresh baked Italian bread and butter on the side. For dinner
I had the manicotti which was filled with perfectly seasoned ricotta and top with mozzarella and their famous marinara sauce. My Husband had the evening special which was scrod with spaghetti served on the side. Both dinners were delicious and filling. Our waitress was very attentive especially if we wanted more bread or coffee. Atmosphere classic old world Italian.
A true memorable experience. We plan on returning soon.

From the wait time to be seated in a barely busy restaurant to the wait times on our dishes alone, I would rate our experience as poor. To compound our experience, the food wasn't even mediocre. First, we were served bagged grocery store Italian bread with butter packets. Next, we paid 7$ for two wedges of fried mozzarella. Then, our entrees has clearly been microwaved as my chicken piccata partially cold. My side of pasta consisted of a bland sauce with thick overdone noodles. My wife's gnocchi pesto was flavorless and very chewy. The outdoor atmosphere, which included a nice, talented, calm sounding jazz band, along with the nice lighting, were too good for the service and food. I'm honestly baffled at how this restaurant has a 4.1/5 stars on google.

Guarinos Restaurant is the finest little Italian restaurant. The food is excellent just like grandma Leoni use to make. The atmosphere it s so serene and comforting. It reminds me of being in my immigrant Abruzzi Italian grandparents home. The patio is so lovely like dining out in a tiny Italian restaurant in a little Italian village.

Outstanding restaurant, outstanding food. The service prompt, server was very attentive to our needs, and very polite. We had the veal, lasagna, and spags and meatballs. Large salads and the wedding soup was terrific. Don't miss this restaurant.

Waited for an hour to get our food. The Italian wedding soup had 1 tiny meatball and tasted like it came out of a can. Our server only took our order (which she got wrong) and never came back until I had to hunt her down for the check. The hostess was trying to make sure everyone in the restaurant had refills on water and acted more like a server than a hostess. The food was very average at best. Very disappointed. I will not recommend or return.

Friday February 26th, Tony and I went to Little Italy to eat at Guarino's the oldest restaurant in Cleveland. They opened in 1918.
The street is very narrow and crowded.
They have a parking lot but its very tight also

We went inside, it was very dark and slight romantic for the middle of the afternoon. The hostess greeted us immediately and took us to the second room. We were seated in the corner.

We ordered our drinks I went with soda and Tony had a Miller Light. They also gave us iced water and some bread with oil & balsamic vinegar. It was delicious but I would have enjoyed some butter. Waitress was very busy and very rude!!!

We both ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and the bread with butter and Romano cheese with marinara sauce. The food arrived without the bread so we had to wait longer for the bread, but it came out wrong, 10 minutes later with bruschetta. So the owner put them in the house.

We had a nice meal, it was very filling!!!
To be truthful the noodles tasted like old dish water, it was a little off putting but the sauce and meatballs were good. Personally I would not go back again, too many other restaurants to try out.
I hope your experience is better than ours!!!

Went on a Monday night so not surprised it wasn't busy. Staff is very friendly but slow moving and they don't seem to know their menu well. Our server didn't know anything about the wine they actually place on all the tables to start with either (all we asked is what it tastes like). The interior is pretty worn and dated looking. There were also a lot of fruit flies buzzing around our table constantly diving into our heads or around our food which was off putting. Even so, delicious food all around. Their marinara sauce is great. I also loved their lasagna and bruschetta. Worth a visit but with so many great Italian Restaurants on the strip this one doesn't stand out nearly as much as some of the others especially since the prices are comparable. Not disappointing but also not blown away.

Quite expensive and a limited menu during special events. It's obvious they take pride in their fancy food and fancy names, but it's nothing to be amazed at. While the interior is beautiful and full of culture, there's many other restaurants in Little Italy that offer better food at better prices.
