GSB Properties Review

Letting department doesn't get back to you, this has happened twice.

Recently used GSB services to sell my property.
I was made to feel very valued as a customer throughout the process.
First class service. Very friendly staff, professional and efficient at all times.

Having viewed a property for sale I received an email asking for feedback. I emailed back saying we liked the property but felt it was too much money as we would need to do some work on it. Charlotte from GSB emailed back saying the owners may consider a lower offer and what might we offer. So I emailed back with a sum we were prepared to go for. Four days later I have heard nothing. So I phone up to be told she is at lunch and they would get her to call me back. Three hours later I still hear nothing so I call back and speak to Charlotte who says she has been busy studying and had not looked at her messages. She then goes on to say that the owners of the house were not willing to go as low as our offer. So I said that it would have been good for her to have let us know this. Her reply was that she would have done eventually, we were on her list. I had to say goodbye quickly before I lost my rag. Very unimpressed with the service!
I have now upped my rating because having let me down badly they have made a good effort at redeeming the situation. Thank you Charlotte keep going like this.

AVOID

We applied for a rental property at Dunbar Harbour, we explained me and my kids were homeless. Lesley from GSB then phoned my husband saying the landlords wanted to meet us through video call - which we happily took time to do. They asked questions, we answered them and were informed they were doing viewings. They knew how far we needed to travel - 26.5 miles to be precise....we went to the viewing on Saturday 3rd of April. Due to it being a bank holiday weekend GSB weren't open until Tuesday. First thing Tuesday morning at 9:15am my husband phoned Lesley and mentioned we wanted to go for it....she said she would let the landlord know! Wednesday - NOTHING, So my husband phoned and she said she hadn't heard anything from landlord yet. My husband phoned again where he was treated like a cold caller and told "When I know you'll know"! Quite rude if you ask me!!
Today 9th April 2021, we still heard NOTHING! At 13:40pm my husband phoned and was told Lesley was 'either on a call or on a break and she would call him back'!
An hour later my husband receives a text to say he was unsuccessful!!! Considering they never did an application for us or even asked for references says to me they made there minds up about us from the start - so why put a family through that?? Says to me that we weren't 'good enough' for them. They completely wasted our time and couldn't be honest and upfront about it!!

Very unprofessional and a disgraceful way to treat a family who are homeless. I understand not everyone is successful, but the way they've went about it is disgraceful.

Judging by the reviews I've just seen on Facebook and on here, looks like we dodged a bullet.

I used GSB to purchase my first property. The sale concluded and I got my keys today. Everything went well and without a hitch. Callum was amazing, rapidly responsive and absolutely fantastic at keeping me in the loop and making a daunting task seamless and easy. I would highly recommend as the service I received was first class and I would happily use them again. Thank you Callum and thanks to GSB.

Can t recommend GSB Haddington enough. My husband and I recently asked GSB to market my late father in laws house. We were made to feel welcome and everything was explained to us, without feeling overwhelmed. Charlotte was our Estate Agent and was an absolute star. She kept us informed throughout the process and immediately had us feeling at ease.

I like to thank GSB staff for their care and support given while selling my house. Not an experience I was looking forward too to say the least. I didn t need to worry though. Great communication, pleasant manner and always professional throughout the process. I would highly recommend GSB to anybody selling their home.

Asked to view a property and still waiting for someone to get back to us with an appointment 3 days later...would not use this company if I was selling my property....very unprofessional

Superb. We are very grateful for a very friendly and helpful team that guided us through every step to sell our house, taking care of every detail. Great communication throughout. Cannot rate highly enough.

GSB sold our property quickly, in 10 days!
We received a great service, they were reasonably priced too compared to other estate agents. Very happy with them and thoroughly recommend.
