Ok so the Grove Park is awesome... huge place, old, well built, neat fireplaces, awesome restaurants all of that. Great place to relax or have small business meetings.

The bad part...
The rooms we stayed in were very small, like ridiculously small. The air vent blew directly on the bed and it isn't quiet because of the old construction.
It's a great place but don't expect a lot of modern hotel stuff.

My family and I loved the Grove Park Inn and have dinner there from time to time. The staff is attentive and welcoming. The views are quite beautiful from the dining areas and we have always enjoyed the food! We would recommend this place for special occasions!

I was at the Omni Grove Park Inn for a wedding. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. Fun to explore and see areas for shopping, dining, drinking...the entire rear of the inn is open to a spectacular mountain view. Lots of placed to sit all around the inn to take in a nice view. Staff very helpful. Would recommend everyone to visit. Something for people of all ages.

The grounds and setting are great. However, our experience (week after Christmas) was disappointing because the hotel could not accommodate the amount of people it allowed to visit and book reservations at the various restaurants. Staff was good but seemed defeated by the amount of people they could not accommodate. We could not get reservations before 9pm at one restaurant and at the other casual restaurant (Edison) there was at least an hour and half wait each night.

All the bars had waits for a drink.

No service on patio outside Edison restaurant which is one if the most scenic spots at the hotel. The outside fireplace (gas) was not on and after calling the hotel and asking someone to turn it on, no one came. Also, one of the seating areas has a huge mess of leftover food and spilled peanuts that has been uncleaned for over and hour and counting. Several guests have attempted to sit there only to see the mess and leave.

The hotel boasts about a sports complex but the basketballs were rubber and the seems were completely worn. The net was mangled and ripped. The court was not a court... it was a concrete 20x30 pad.

Not the Grove Park Inn I loved since Omni bought it. Now it's just an (admittedly very nice, but over priced) Omni that used to have character. We used to go there every year or so and it was such a treat. I hate what they've done to what was a remarkable institution.

I had dinner a drinks at the Sunset Terrace at Grove Park Inn. The scenery and atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking. You get an incredible view of the Blue Ridge mountains. The drinks and dinner was amazing and the service was great. The terrace had a small band playing on the inside and it was so much fun to do a little dancing while waiting on a table. I would definitely recommend stopping there while in Asheville.

Me and my girlfriend went to eat at their seafood buffet. The food was excellent and so was the service! I highly recommend anyone go there for a nice relaxing time, and the view is absolutely beautiful! Seriously, go here and experience a neat peice of Asheville history.

I have been an overnight guest and also stopped for dinner or lunch several times. Great place to walk around with lots of great things to see and wonderful views. Food is good but the 5 Stars are for the building and how they have kept the place looking so good.

I visited The Omni Grove Park Inn, to view the gingerbread houses from the annual competition. The houses were spectacular and all of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. However, I did not appreciate having to pay $10 to park.

Horrible customer service!!!! Would not recommend. Grove park inn has completely lost its beauty. When Omni took over, grove park inn went downhill quick. And customer service at the corporate offices of Omni is worse than at the grove park inn. Don't waste your time or your money.

What can you say about a place like this other than it is top notch from the moment you drive onto the grounds. The lobby with its massive fireplaces, the gift shops. Dining on the the grand porch. You don't need to be a resort guest to enjoy this wonderful old inn.

I brought my elderly mother for her 87th birthday last week. The Grove Park Inn is a magical place at Christmas and the Gingerbread package is a good value. The buffet breakfast was wonderful as was the room and every single staff member we came in contact with. Lucy at the front desk went above and beyond to make my mother's birthday trip special. Ashley at Edison went out of her way to get a good table for my mom to have a nice view and be warm enough. The food in both restaurants was exceptional. There was hot chocolate for sale in the lobby and a group of staff led a Christmas carol sing-a-long Thursday morning. It's a pricey stay but so worth it to do at least one night. I can't wait to go back!

Bloom is off the rose, landscaping now looks totally neglected, furniture is worn out, carpets are filthy, restaurant prices too high. Not the grand hotel it used to be. Staff not in uniform, too casual regarding the public. Get it back in shape or face even bigger declines. Omni has not respected what was theirs to move forward, not backwards. Disappointed, no return visit.

The venue was beautiful, but the room was sub par. AC unit was leaking all over the ceiling tiles and onto the floor. The service and people were nice and the breakfast at Blue Ridge was awesome.

I was driving around in Asheville with my 9 and 12 year old grand daughters and remembering how I often took their mothers to the Grove Park Inn buffet they have. Friday was Seafood Saturday was Prime Rib and of course the Sunday Brunch. This was in the early afternoon but the incredible history the place has on display is really amazing. Countless signed photographs of the most influential people in the world who stayed there. Anyway my grand daughter was not real interested in history and consequently showed a blatant lack of enthusiasm. Then I roll in and she's totally in awe of this Massive River Rock structure before her, I mean I could tell she was impressed. There's valet parking or park yourself. She liked the valet. We walk inside the lobby and I take her to see the huge fireplaces, one at either end of the lobby. Big enough for a person to walk right in one said. Yup. We then walked over to the bar just as you walk out to the Sunset Terrace and ordered a drink for myself and 2 Shirley Temples and went for a walk. The Sunset Terrace has breath taking views all through the day but the Sunsets are amazing. Then I took them to see the pictures of all the celebrities that had stayed there heading towards the Blue Ridge Dining Room. Well they didn't even know who Harry Houdini was but when they saw Jennifer Lopez was there, well everything was really cool there but they only took selfies with Jennifer Lopez. Now shopping at the GPI, the new term so affectionately adopted by both, was a new experience for these two and they found it rather interesting. They thought it was funny that the pajama sets, which they adored, came with "Eye Lids" with a chuckle. Well for two girls who had very little interest in a history lesson at the Grove Park Inn um excuse me I mean the GPI, they now were showing very little interest in leaving. But then I remembered the Spa. Underground Caverns to the Grotto. Once we took the tour of the Spa and the walk back up the stairs they we're dragging their feet a little bit and I could tell they were having a weak moment so I took the opportunity to to corral them back towards the lobby but only after promising a return trip for a Sunday Brunch.

Every visit here is as amazing as the last. My sister and I do a yearly spa visit, and the spa is beautiful and relaxing, and the hotel historic and full of things to do! Elaine's Dueling Piano bar is always a great time and Edison's has a delicious, moderately priced menu. I can't wait to return!

The Omni Grove Park Inn gave me a glimpse into upscale living without making me feel outclassed by the establishment itself. Sure I was just a guest to a wedding, but the service was still amazing. I am not a wealthy person by any means, but if you have friends and family you would like to spoil, this is a great place to take them. I still can't get over that short rib...

Very simple statement to start, Amazing! The Omni Grove Park Inn was a wonderful location. Overlooking the beautiful mountains in Ashville, is a beautiful way to start your day. The meal selection is great, from a wonderful breakfast, to a delicious dinner on the sunset terrace. You cannot go wrong with this historic hotel, located just minutes from all the attractions in Ashville.

Came here for brunch. All things considered, the price was fair. The staff was outstanding, the food was very good, but what was by far the best part was the view and the antiquity of the establishment. If you're nearby, at least stop by, you won't be disappointed.

A great resort experience on Sunset Mountain. The view from the resort is phenomenal and best at sunset. The amenities are fantastic and the restaurants are top notch. Unfortunately, the rooms do not live up to the fit and finish of the common areas of the hotel. They are quite outdated and a bit uncomfortable for the high price. When you stay at this property, you are paying for the common areas, not the rooms.
