Great location, great architecture. Interesting exhibitions

Beautiful museum with a beautiful permanent collection and with changing exhibitions and exhibitions. This time the world of Alessandro Mendini. Well worth it!

Can't believe I only decided to visit here the other day! The collections are quite nice, and you'll likely see everything in an hour. The tickets are cheap and the cafe overlooks the canal.

Spectacular building. I was here for the Rodin exposition. Very impressive images as expected, but also beautifully showed the whole process of creation of Rodin.

The exhibition on women's rights was very fascinating. I also thought it was a messy museum. Because we immediately went down with the museum card we didn't get a map. I believe we have seen everything, but I do not know for sure. Museum store was nice. Bought several books. Friendly staff who packed the books nicely. There was no place in the restaurant anymore, it was raining cats and dogs, apparently it was a good hiding place.

It's just nice there. Only the building is already beautiful and there are just beautiful exhibition. Soon there will be a project about the liberation, everyone should definitely go there. I would say go there and decide for yourself. I can recommend it.

Three weeks ago I was in Groningen with my husband for a weekend. What a nice city. We then visited this museum. Nice exhibition of the Rollingstones and there were good guidelines for the Covid-19 measures

The museum focuses quite strongly on postmodernism. Certainly artistic, but I am more interested in the small department of old masters

The Groninger museum has 3 sections: 1 for exhibitions such as Northern Romanticism about Northern European painting in the 19th century and other themed performances. Until October 30, 2017, there was an interesting and complete exhibition about a piece of regional history, the nobles and the guarantors focused on the province of Groningen. The link with the city palaces was there, but it could have been more extensive.

Other temporary exhibitions eg in 2016 about David Bowie and Rodin, among others, are not regional and were very impressive.
The permanent collection is in 2 other departments .. among others. focused on painting by Ploeg and eg regional silver or porcelain, as well as the museum building itself. Always worth it.

The temporary exhibition (Rodin) is interesting, the permanent exhibitions is limited in size and interest, not very special to us. Overall still nice to spend a few hours.

Been to the exhibition of chihuly. The abstract shapes and bright colors really appealed to me. It was crowded. Friendly staff

An unusual place without a doubt worth a visit. It is extremely controversial because of its appearance. You have to spend a minimum of 4-5 hours to really watch everything.
