Beautiful store and very helpful! Had parts for my sewing machine!

Tried to set up a class for my wife. They refused to allow her to come since she didn't buy her sewing machine from them. Since I bought it for her online as a gift before we moved to San Antonio, I'm not sure why they had to hold that against her. Being a teacher myself, I've never heard of a group that relished teaching (as they claim on their website) but refused to teach someone the basics. She was very excited to take the class (and become a customer in the long-term) but now we will find somewhere else. Who needs customer service like this?

I went in to purchase some thread and fabric. I was looking at the machines they had out for sale and I asked about my Janome which I have had for about 15 years. I thought that blowing and sweeping the lint out was enough. I did not see in the instruction manual anything about oil or service but the lady said It s probably time for a tune up . So happy I let them do the service! My machine runs like soft butter on hot toast now! It is like night and day. Gromes is so careful with their Covid protocol too. Lots of hand sanitizer inside and outside before you step in. They should be a San Antonio landmark! My mom used to take her old Machine there after it died back in the 60 s. The people are so caring and friendly too. Yay! GROMES!

This is the only place our family goes to purchase machines and have them maintained. They have excellent customer service, quality people who are all knowledgeable, kind, patient and professional. We have been going to Grome's for over 40 years. We highly recommend this business!

I got my sewing machine fixed here!!! They did a killer job and charged a fair price for the repair. They even explained to me what I was doing wrong so that I would not seize up my machine again!!!

Wow I will NEVER use this place or recommend to anyone else!!! Needing simple repair, new machine that was a gift, jammed. My mother-in-law having lived in San Antonio knew of Gromes so we called them first. The lady that answered the phone was very rude, her words were: Why did you buy a Singer?? they are no good, they used to be but now they are not, You should have come here< We are busy for the next three weeks"
Don't bother lady you can be begging for customers and I would NEVER come to your company... Hope you have to close due to your horrible attitude and customer service.

We have been to this establishment many times and we have never had a bad experience. They people are very friendly and always take whatever time it takes to answer our questions or explain the operation of one of their machines. Recommend to everyone!!

Oh my gosh, talking about professionalism in practice! My experience took me back to the times when I'd accompany my grandmother on shopping trips. It was like meeting with the family around town. They'd address her by name, give eye to eye contact, ask about the family, and always serve with a smile! ... At Grome"s, the atmosphere is so welcoming. Even the telephonic service call was extremely pleasant. Experiences like these will keep me coming back!

Excellent service, very knowledgeable, and the price was right! Had a problem with my vintage machine they took care of immediately. They did not try at all to sell me a new machine. I had been to another chain type store who could not help me. This type family business is so hard to find now days. They are not the closest to me but well worth the drive. They will be the first place I go when I need something.

I have used them for over 20 years to repair and maintain my sewing machines. I have Singer sewing machines from the 1800s treadle up to a 2016 model. They have happily repaired any issues I have had. They do the repairs in a very timely manner and a reasonable expense. I never call ahead. Just bring in my machine and usually have it back within a week or two, depending on what is being done. They give great advice and tips to help maintain your machines.

Excellent customer service up front and sewing machine wizards in the back! Brought my wife's 30+ year old singer back to life and its working better than new. Very pleased with their work and reasonably priced. Would use them again!

I have a brother innovis 2800D embordiery machine and I called to see if they can repair it for me. The young lady who answered the phone was very nice. They aren't able to fix my machine but we're very friendly and recommended other shops that could.
