We had a lovely two days here for our son's wedding .The rooms were lovely ,staff very helpful and kind .This is a wonderful place to hold a small wedding Thank you all

Beautiful. Rooms really cosy but modern. Came here to get married and got ready in the hotel room in the morning. Had everything you'd need; trouser press, iron, big mirrors, lamps and ample hanging space. Room was lovely and warm and shower big with good water pressure.
Restaurant food was lovely, decor was really pretty (though it was decorated for Christmas which helps!) Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Very generous and tasty breakfast included in room price.
No complaints whatsoever and would stay here again happily.

Nice hotel, great staff who were helpful and attentive. Got married in the 'runawsy: cottage which is part of the hotels Estate.

Food / restaurant excellent.
Perfect venue for a wedding, or just a relaxing stay.
Lovely grounds too.
They have managed to incorporate covid guidelines very well ,with no stress .

The staff have taken this pandemic in their stride they can't do enough to help help you and so friendly. The meals are second to none everything spotlessly clean

It is Still closed. Sending customers to other hotel. Pity because it's a lovely place to stay. Tough times.

We stayed here as part of our wedding package on 6 & 7 November 2020. The hotel itself is very nice, looks like it s had a recent upgrade.
On check in we were surprised that lots of other wedding parties we re also checking in at the same time. Perhaps this ought to be rethought and give parties staggered times, to help with keeping things more COVID safe.
We were located at the rear of the hotel in a refurbished garden room (view of the rear grounds). Nice modern room with wardrobe space and drawers. Large dressing table to get ready at (vital for a bride!).
Bathroom was well equipped with a double shower and lots of towels.
Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows.
Nice warm room with large TV.
Breakfast was a buffet in the restaurant, with lots of choice. We were served our choices due to coronavirus.
We had our wedding day meal in the restaurant which was faultless! Our waitress (Sophie) was so helpful and kind.
There were a couple of things the hotel missed, that we paid for in the package (breakfast in bed and the complimentary photo) but we sorted this out with the wedding planner afterwards and were pleased with the outcome (thank you Michelle).
I would definitely recommend the wedding packages and hotel. It s a bit further than the Smith s hotel from the Blacksmiths shop, but only a 10 minute walk at most.

What a beautiful setting for a wedding. Totally Covid safe and a pleasure to be there. Staff can't do enough for you.

Fantastic hotel. 5* customer service from both reception and restaurant staff. Food in the restaurant was beautiful. Cocktails also fantastic. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back
