It's a Greggs, it serves Greggs food. It's good for a lunchtime Greggs if you want Greggson a lunchtime. I imagine it also serves Greggs at other times of the day. I have removed 1 star because they have very little space inside, which they could resolve if they simply took out the indoor seating but I guess Greggs has to Greggs.

If you like food from Greggs, you'll love Greggs

Yeah these guys would be better if, when i asked for my Mocha to be made the old way, they make it the old way instead of saying sorry we can't, can't is not a word, can't is not something you should say to a customer, only this place and one in hill street centre in Middlesbrough have denied me my Mocha the old way

Not one of the better Greggs. I have been working in Newcastle for a couple of weeks and the bacon was over cooked, and while I appreciate some people like crispy bacon, there is a point where it starts to taste like charcoal.

It's Gregg's, I'm sure everyone knows what to expect. They do have a small seating area but if it is a nice day or your wrapped up warm save yourself the extra few pence and sit at one of the relaxation stations along the river side and appreciate the location. Bear in mind most Sundays the market is on at the quayside.

Absolutely tiny so even with a handful of customers you feel like battery chickens. The food it's self is true to form Gregs though. So pies, pasties, pre made sandwiches and sweet items like cream cakes. The price of Gregs items continue to increase whilst the filling and taste lessen. So you are now at the corporate greedy stage where you buy a cheese pastie and wonder where the actual cheese is? Opening the pasties reveals a cavernous gap with a thin layer of what I can only describe as wallpaper paste. And if I was to close my eyes and eat one I sure as hell can't determine any cheese. This isn't an issue if it's cheap but they are no longer cheap yet have degraded to simply space filler in the stomach. Gregson used to be great value and reliable hot food. Now it's a greedy corporate mock bakery I am very disappointed. Also beware the sandwiches which on display have all the filling pushed to the front so they look full. They are anything but full!
