Wanted to give a wooden wardrobe in good condition to charity. Because it had couple of drops of water based wall paint in the back of it, they didn't want to take. I would expect a bit more flexibility from a charity. I guess I will just sell it on ebay now, even better for me. Next time I won't even bother to donate anything.
They are so caring and kind , nothing is too much trouble and they treat you with the respect you would expect
My father in law 'Dan' is currently here and the service provided has been absolutely amazing from reception all the way to the doctors nurses it's a very difficult time at the moment for me and my family but the staff here have been wonderful Compassionate Sincere and have treated Dan with full respect the people in here are amazing and understanding. Thanks so much for the all the care and support given to him and the family.
My husband died 2 years ago in Greenwich and Bexley hospice. He used to go to their day centre, which he really valued. This review is about the hospice care he received at the end, not their day centre who has very professional and kind staff. It has taken me 2 years to write this review, but I had to do it. Now I can look back with a clear mind and see how much the hospice failed him, and how they made his last days emotionally and physically unbearable, where it should not have had to reach that state.
Such a beautiful hospice. I was more than happy to take photos for my local hospice for them to promote their services.
My husband was in the Hospice for a short time but, in that time he was treated so well by the Doctors, Nurses and all the staff. We could not have asked for more.
The Hospice was such a lovely peaceful place to be.
Myself and my family would like to extend our thanks to everyone.
Phoned yesterday (Saturday) after my dad has been in terrible amount of pain to the point in which he could no longer take it. I was told by a rude nurse that there was no beds available and he ll be 5th on the waiting list anyway.. I was told by another nurse a few weeks ago if my dad was in need of a bed in the hospice to control his pain then it ll be no problem to get him in ASAP.
My dad was told 2 months ago that he has 3 months to live so you d think they would have more sympathy and offer something to help but no, they said we had to wait till Tuesday cause of bank holiday to be able to get a nurse out, prescribe a new type of medication and for them to administer it.
In the end we called 111 and within 6 hours they sent out a doctor who prescribed a medicine for us to pick up straight away. It helped a little bit thankfully or else we ll be down the hospital right now which the hospice nurse advised against!!!!!
I think they treat people who s in their last days better than others who s in his last weeks possibly.
My dad passed on the 5th of June having been at the hospice for 12 days. In that time all the staff showed such kindness and care that was so amazing. It was such a peaceful and calm atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. I can't thank them enough in what is a very difficult time for our family
