Went to a concert with a friend that had to take a portable oxygen tank. It was horrible at first people stepping over us and she having to continuously move her tank so others could get to their seats. I was able to find some management and had to literally beg them to get us moved to a handicap area where she would not continuously have to move her oxygen tank and climb steps

The complex itself is a very lovely place for concerts and such. The parking situation I a bit out of hand and far too expensive. Its the only place of its kind nearby so we are stuck with being price gouged in the parking lot but the complex itself is reasonable and just fine.
Whenever there is an event here, it's run pretty smoothly. Prices are a little on the expensive side so get something to eat or drink before you get there if you can. Parking is usually pretty easy too.
The coliseum in Greensboro could be any large Coliseum in the United States. They're all laid out pretty much the same. Lots of trade shows. They could use a few more bathrooms they only seem to have them right up front. Not much in the way of food. And you pretty much have to depend on what trade show is being held there for what it looks like inside. Or for a concert at cetera there are a couple of ATMs in the lobby but they don't always work. Handicap parking is really not that convenient
Had lots of fun; However, dont agree with $10 parking fee when we've already paid for tickets. That would be like going to the movies (which is much cheeper) but then the movie theater charging extra to park in thier lot. Oh wait...dont wanna give them any ideas! Getting sick of being nicheled and dimed everywhere.
Bottle Cap Bandits, yeah if your buy a drink they revoke your right to have a cap. How gay and juvenile as capped plastic are not that high in lethal weapons.
Very nice but seat very close my husband it 6"7 we had front row seats and had to go to handicap seating wear they got us follding chair ...spend 149.00 on ticket we couldn't use cause seating to tight
I have been to the coliseum the past 3 years for the SKILLSUSA state conference. The reason I don't give it a higher rating is due to their food service. A lot of the students can't afford $10 for a cold burger and fries.
I've been attending events at the Greensboro Coliseum for decades, but not at all in the last few years. I was glad to go and see Alabama and Charlie Daniels earlier this month. This was a capacity crowd, and the coliseum suggested early arrival and opened the parking lot quite early. Parking was $20, and I was initially surprised. The walk into the event was simple, plenty of space to walk amongst the crowd. Security staff checked bags and had metal detectors, both great ideas. There was almost no delay getting through security or ticket checking. We passed the vendors and were directed to our seats by one of many ushers, who manage the enormous crowd quite skillfully. The show was great, and afterwards, we returned to the car to wait for the traffic to thin. There were people who seemed to have trouble locating their cars, and staff was ready to help. Then, Greensboro Coliseum had a special traffic pattern to effectively and efficiently move thousands of people away from the venue. It was remarkable. This was when I understood the parking fee. The event staff and management have big events down to a precise science. Looking forward to the next bucket list artist right here at the Greensboro Coliseum.
The show was great but all the rules of the Coliseum were ridiculous. No pocket knives and if you bought a drink you had to walk up the steep steps with the lid off!? There was sticky stuff all over the floors and chairs because of this. No chance of slipping because it was so sticky. The only thing they did good was parking. It was tight, but they got the parking lot cleared out really quick.
Venue much like any other coliseum; steep steps, small area for self. No designated smoking spot for smokers once inside, "you can go outside/out front but NO REENTRY."
Great venue ! Staff was all amazing. Easy in and out for Fall Out Boy and MGK.
*only issue was ... when we called day of show (rescheduled dur to hurricane florence) and asked of lineup was the same they said yes. Gym Class heroes was NOT there. Not a big deal but would be nice to have staff informed when people inquire.
They did a great job with communication as far as the rescheduled concert date. It was unfortunate for many reasons it had to be rescheduled but I think they handled it as good as possible.
I grew up in this area and I saw Basketball, Hockey, Circus acts, wrestling and many, many Concerts here. I even had my High school graduation here. A very well laid out facility and extremely well maintained. These folks can handle practically any event!
Great venue! Clean, roomy. We enjoy going there as a family. Everything is easy to find. Parking averages around $10...cash or card, and staff on site helpful and nice.
No matter what event we have attended here (concerts and a recent graduation) the parking is always confusing and not alot of direction from officials on entering/exiting
Purchased tickets for the Smackdown/Wrestling match! Husband and kids absolutely it! Wonderful experience for the kids. They are already asking when can they go again.
Event okay. Banners hung down too low. Center banner blocked view anyone sitting high up middle section couldn't see floor or screen. Few parking Staff sent u in circles.
Monster Trucks, great seating. Less trucks than I remembered but put on a good show. Everything is really expensive, $20.00 for cotton candy with a mask or cup with slushy.
