Greenhouse Bellingham WA Review

Excellent, high quality kitchen and home decor items. The Greenhouse is the perfect place to purchase well-made appliances, knives and cookware that will last for years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The breadth of decorative items, cooking aids, sauces, spices and even lotions and soaps makes this the perfect location to find a gift or just browse on a rainy afternoon. Though higher prices might be a bit off-putting, the price range is understandable for a small, local business.

I recently moved to Bellingham.
I wanted to purchase a sofa from a local company for my den where I expect grandchildren will hang out and spend the night.
I found easy parking right outside Greenhouse, my first destination. I walked around the store and looked over the inventory of all their items. I was impressed with the quality and selection. In the furniture section I sat down on their sofa bed floor model and appreciated its comfort as a sofa. They had the same sofa model displayed in its bed position so I could examine workmanship.
I purchased a custom grade of upholstery fabric that is a neutral gray with an easy-care surface. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and the helpfulness of sales staff. I am convinced I received excellent value for the cost.
I returned yesterday during their fall furniture sale. I found just the right coffee table with a rugged surface and drawer space practical and well-designed. I purchased this table to go with my new sofa bed.
Greenhouse will deliver it to my home here for a minimal charge.
During my visit yesterday I noticed several shoppers with shopping baskets. Visitors were leisurely placing unique decorative items for their homes in these baskets.
I highly recommend Greenhouse for those who enjoy shopping for a variety of household items that have both attractive style and function at a fair price.

I have enjoy shopping at Green House for years, but lately I find the merchandise over priced, the customer service unfriendly and the staff snooty, especially upper management. Think I would rather wait and shop in Seattle where customers are appreciated and where you can but the exact same merchandise at a much better price.

So glad you stayed open. Best home store in Whatcom County.

Great if you're looking for high end home furnishing. Extremely helpful staff. Comparable to a Crate and Barrel, but with far more charm/selection.

Went into the greenhouse today, it was fantastic, the displays were very nicely done and easy to navigate through the store. Lots of wonderful things to choose from, made a few purchases and can't wait to go back, great job

Stopped by today and was impressed with their amazing selection of unique and beautiful home items at mostly reasonable prices and the staff was very helpful! Wished we lived closer so I could come here more often!

I was in the green house today. There was one check out girl. I asked if there s anyone in the downstairs in the appliances. She looked up and said they are on break. It Was a bit Startling. That was all she had to offer.

I waited in appliances for 10 minutes or more. By the time a person came down I was already done with this

I didn t want to wait any longer.

Sorry green house this was not your best day. I hate going to amazon just because the service was so poor.

*I wanted to update my review, as the owners relied to me quickly. I'm sure the young girl was frazzled as she was alone. And I know customer service is key to the greenhouse. I think it was one of those days.
I love the greenhouse. I've loved it since it first opened so long ago. I'm so happy that the new owners kept so many things from the first one. I will definitely shop there again ... many times.*

Nice store in the downtown area that sells a small variety of home decor, cookware and furniture. They seem to have limited staff and hours. They don't open until noon and are closed on Sunday and Monday.

I visited the Greenhiuse today for the first time since the change in ownership. While the store looked beautiful, I was appalled with the customer service. I witnessed atrocious service with a customer looking for additional product from what was available. The managerswere yelling across the floor to each other regarding sale prices. When the manager heard I was "daydreaming" in the furniture section, she turned and walked away. Not the Bellingham tradition it used to be.

Gorgeous, inviting store. I love to stop in whenever I can, and just bask in the beauty of the furniture and home decor. It's a bit spendy, but the quality is likely worth the higher price tags. Beautiful seasonal offerings, and the organized layout makes shopping here a welcome treat.

This store is perfect for gifts - it's full of fun, pretty, fancy things that I wouldn't necessarily buy for myself, but would appreciate getting :)

Initially treated nicely by the staff, and they have nice products. BUT I'm really not a fan of this store. I overheard several employee conversations in which they said nasty things about the customers when they weren't paying attention. I heard both staff AND MANAGERS joking about several people's appearances (including clothing, weight, and smell), pushing each other to help "undesirable" customers (aka, not a white, pretty girl) and laughing when they did, and making fun of someone's apparent "wealth" because of the way they looked. It's basically the store from Pretty Woman. It's very clique-y and the staff are very unkind when the customers aren't paying attention. DO NOT GIVE THIS STORE YOUR MONEY.

Great service and beautiful selection. The prices are high, but the quality is good and they stand behind all of their products.

My husband and I visited the Greenhouse on Sunday and were charged double the price for our single item purchase. My husband found a second "refund" receipt tucked inside the folded receipt the cashier handed him. Very, very disappointing. I just noticed that the charge from my debit card is double- have not received the "refund" yet. I will be paying close attention.

It's now Thursday and I called the store, no help- just a "we will mail you a copy of your receipt."

All of the employees are really helpful and super nice. Lots of high end dishware, cookware and appliances. All of the furniture is immensely nice and comfortable. I believe the furniture is customized to your liking depending on configuration and what types/colors of material you want. Highly recommend it this little store!!!

One-stop shop for home decor, furnishings and entertaining.

Eye candy for those who love kitchen gadgets and dining room decor. Mostly too expensive for the average Joe, although check in back for sale items. Saw a nice cloth patio chair on sale... but still for more than $200!! Kind of outrageous. I was looking for a spout to fit in the top of an olive oil bottle for pouring, and the staff members produced a couple of options from the wine/liquor section. Unfortunately they had no clue as to whether these spouts would work equally well for oils. Or whether the spouts might specifically be used to pour 1 oz aliquots rather than a steady stream. Even worse the girls were totally disinterested in figuring out the answer. So, no purchase for me!
