I'd like to personally thank Green Owl for wasting my time today. I called ahead if time to ask about their menu options. I was assured the menu item I wanted would be in today. I Just walked out in disappointment that no one had any idea what I was talking about. Poor service!
Their grape chicken salad is AMAZING! My absolute favorite. You can get it on a sandwich "the owl sandwich" or just the dip with chips, also a good choice or on a bed of lettuce. They have really good vegan choices (I'm not vegan at all) but sometimes I like me a good light meal and this is an easy spot to go too for that with their many options. Atmosphere is nice too, cute and quaint spot. Service is always nice and good.
I got the picadillo flautas, those were good but really small portions. I anak got the tamales. Those were also good but again, smallest tamale I've seen. I good this is a vegan place, however, they go over board on their prices for the portion sizes and they don't treat their employees well. Last time I was there, after I complained about the food I heard the owner talking to their employee pretty badly. They can definetely do better.
Omg I had a great experience here. The environment, food, drinks and staff are all amazing! Made my visit here in McAllen much much better.
Y all should open in Austin!

OMG this is the best vegan food I've had in a long time. Owl baked potato is a must to try. Ihad no idea mashed potato can be so delicious. Wow! Stuffed avocados are super good too. Quet place with pleasant music and the best healthy food! And no it was not expensive at all. 5 stars to the owners!
Vegan bistec tacos are disgusting. Even though we didn t eat them they still charged us. Last time I was here I gagged on the enchiladas. Never coming back.
