Awful hospital, been there a few times. Staff treats adolescents terrible and are extremely mean and disrespectful and don t seem to actually tend to the needs of why your there. Leave worse than when u started. This is a traumatizing place!! and it needs to be shut down. and I m sure most people that go here would agree. There is no reason they should be sedating children to sleep when they can t handle us multiple children get sedated and physically fully strapped down for hours when they just need help

This place was absolutely horrible. I was there in 2018 for a week and it is hands-down one of the worst mental hospitals you can ever go to. The staff were mean and I was fearful the whole time there. I actually felt worse coming out of that hospital. Don t go there for any reason. The cheese cake was good though

This place is absolutely awful. I was a voluntary admittance and when I asked when I could leave and how to start the process they denied help. As i got undressed for their check to see what scars i currently have the nurse made a comment about my body saying "it doesnt look like you just had a baby" and laughed with the other nurse. This may not seem like a big deal but I was vulnerable, visibly upset (admitted for SI), away from my children and completely naked. It was traumatizing. The whole experience was traumatizing. I laid in a freezing cold room with a blanket and in paper scrubs. Nobody explained anything they were going to do including blood draw. I cried myself to sleep the night after being released. Dont ever send your family.

Without getting into personal details, I'd like to praise the adolescent unit as well as the case manager and staff and nurses. Carly, Sherryl, Dennis, Kim- they have all been a tremendous support and care system. Absolute Angel's who care about the patients. Answering my call all hours of the night and fighting for appropriate after care. Thank you. With all my heart, thank you for caring and working the hardest job on the planet. So much love to you all.

The bad reviews are literally hurting my heart. I just spent 11 days at Green Oaks, and couldn t have asked for any better care. Everyone who worked on my unit genuinely seemed to care and enjoy their job, my techs and the social workers made such a huge impact on me, and prepared me to continue growth outside of the hospital. My doctor adjusted my medication as needed and discharged when I felt stable to leave. I was treated with such kindness and when I needed to talk I was never turned away. They listened and cared.

The nursing staff was so good. Toni was kind and helpful. Angela would literally be so happy and dancing to music when she gave you meds which was a great start to the day, and Garret played music for us and did an amazing class on anxiety.

Lyndon, Kasey, and Q were such amazing techs. Q gave me such great advice and her heart was so genuine. Kasey was so good at her job, and went above and beyond. Lyndon literally came into work on his birthday and he still had the same positive attitude he did every other day.

The case managers/social workers are some of the most compassionate people I ve ever met. The groups actually teach you things you can actually apply to your life. Sarah s groups were always fun while teaching us things. Asia s group on values was my favorite and completely changed my perspective. Rochelles energy literally fills a room! Her topics were always so good that they lead to deep discussions. Kim always made us laugh, and taught me new things. She was very aware of everyone s moods while teaching groups and that was helpful on so many levels.

People often feel more inclined to leave a review when their experience was negative, with that in mind if you need help do not let these reviews scare you from getting the help you need.

This place is awful, they egged on a trans boy while he had a breakdown, asked us to express our feelings after before shutting us up crying HIPAA at us, even though we were involved in the event. Don t send your kids here, the male nurses are lenient to men and ignore or treat women poorly, they make kids feel isolated and ignored, they dont care and thrive off of listing to the lies of parents trying to scramble to look good.

My brother was there in May and instead of receiving the medical care he went to seek, he was charged with assault. Now where are mentally ill people going through a crisis supposed to go for help? If the very place that boasts caring for the ill presses charges against their own patients? Making his life worse. Now he is sitting in jail with a high bail and getting worse by the minute with no medication. This place doesn t know how to de escalate and treat with compassion and professionalism. They are just there for the insurance money. I m disgusted and appalled. They have no business dealing with the mentally ill. They need to read Texas Law that protects the mentally ill where it clearly states that medical professionals are to deter patients from jail time! It seems to me that this doctor took it personal when in fact they should be retrained to handle various situations more effectively. The media needs to know what they are doing to their patients.
