Greater Pilgrim Rest Church Review

An excellent new pastor has joined our church community. Pastor's way of ministering is through the continuous reference to Bible verses. He's engaged in his teaching and excited by new members. There are Bible based activities, an social events that bring members as well as those thinking of becoming members together. The parking is free with plenty of space, should you decide to attend one of the three services.

I was homless running for my life and out on the street life was almost taken by my husband no one knew but God saw it led me there on the bus I didn't have money nor a stable place to stay but pastor ask for a offering I stepped out on faith with two pennies and paid 4thou in tithes don't tell me what my God can't do I was catching the bus now I'm driving a 2015 Chevy spark I'm not praising the church but God in the church and I know God is using my pastor cause I've been being blessed since I've been going spiritually and naturally oh and the choir is of the chain

Pilgrim is a place where you can be fed spiritually and always know that you are loved.

Attended a community Black history event for Jack and Jill of America. Wonderful church. Friendly people and pastor is amazing.

I went there for watch hour on New Years. Great Service!!!!!

This church is uncaring, stuck-up member's, a Luke warm church, money hungry. This church has a clinic and spa for church members only. Elohim is not in this church.

This is a wonderful place to worship. Also involved on supporting the community.

I have been visiting PRBC for many years! In this church, I have grown in my faith and understanding of what it means to praise God. I go with my mind on Jesus, and walk away feeling ready to go about my Father's business! It's all about what you're looking for in a church. If you are hungry for God, this a place to get fed. I always leave with the armor of God, ready to face whatever comes my way. The service is really truly uplifting!

I attend this church faithfully every Sunday. Bishop Thomas is one of the best preachers in Arizona. You know a church is for you when the pastor speaks and you feel like the message is directed, directly at you. I would recommend Pilgrims Rest to all ethnicities. Never know who the guest speakers maybe either. Well known or local guest have always brought a powerful message from the Lord. Looking forward to all the coming events as well.

Excellent church pastor Mackey's dynamic Sunday service and life navigation tools on Wednesday Bible study. Pilgrim Rest in Phoenix is for church goers.

New pastor, not as engaging as Bishop Thomas was but will give him a chance before giving up on going back altogether.

Awesome place to be blessed. Love the atmosphere, the people, the vantastic choir, and a down-home friendly, Pastor Terry Mackey. Two services 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sundays bible study on Wednesday 6: 30pm. The East Valley location on Sunday is at 9:30 a.m.. plenty of parking, clean restrooms, parking attendants, awesome hostess, ushers, leaders and minister staff. Lot of outreach Services for the community. I could go on and on and on it's an awesome place, all welcomed.

Very friendly and at first seemed judgemental, but I didn't let that deter me from going in a second time and the second time but the lady was very kind and warm. She got rid of my negative feelings that I had from my first visit.

The new pastor is not as good as the old pasture unfortunately.

Bishop is AMAZING! The choir is OUTSTANDING! Everyone is very pleasant and I enjoy the service! Never disappointed!!

I been going to this church for months to get help and they turn me away evertime they turn me away they lady is rude and always looks at with discuss like i slept with her husband everytime i leave this church i feel un moved and its a black church that acts like they dont have no love for the young black youth

First time going was for the home going service of my Auntie. You can feel the anointing and such a calming inner peace within the church.

They had Never seen my face. And as we know .Every Church. may be packed on Christmas and Easter,,doesn't mean everyone is truly christian

As growing up in Chicago area I have to say this is by far as close to home as I have seen in Arizona they never miss a beat at this church it brings out that church boy in me very welcoming and the Pastor brings the word on time the singing is great but I love the word that is brought every sunday it does not feel like a mega church and it is diverse with no judgements the annointing is on the pastor and the spirit is always in this place.

I love to worship God in such an awesome place! It was very unfortunate that we lost a great Pastor Bishop Alexis Thomas. You are truly missed. I pray that the church will be able to recover! Great place to serve.

I love attending and participating with this church, the atmosphere is always inviting and positive... However, we're still morning the loss of our beloved Bishop Alexis Thomas... We gonna keep praising in Jesus name...

I've not had such a wonderful experience in a baptist church since I was a teenager. I am seeking a new church home and this house of worship is the best I've experienced since moving here to Arizona. I love it!

I went to this church 2 times. Both times was for my covid shots. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The origination was completely professional and organize.

I have been a member of Pilgrim Rest for 19 year's. I am truly blessed by the service and Bishop Alexis Thomas. Even though our Bishop has gone home to be with the Lord we will continue to occupy all streets.

Nice church, awesome people, good vibe...the Word was a little light.

OMG! My Lord, we lost a great man of God last night, Pastor Alexis Thomas. I join, was Baptized and song in the choir until I moved to Calif at PRBC by Pastor. He was 16 years old when God called him to preach. . What a remarkable, humble and God-fearing man. Everytime I went home, I was like a little child at Christmas time. Everytime he comes to Cali to preach, I was there. I am sad today! Everytime I heard he was sick, I sent him a card. My daughter went home(Az) for the holidays (2017) and I told her to make sure she gives him a hug and tell him I love him. She did and he returned the love. I LOVE PASTOR THOMAS. I can see him now...the face he makes while preaching for the seriouness of serving and preaching the Words of God in hopes; someone will be saved. Yes, Pastor Thomas, U did just what God called U to do.
Pray for thr Thomas family and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

My father worked at Pilgrim Rest on the security team. The former Pastor Alexis Thomas treated my father with the utmost respect.(RIH Pastor Thomas). The current Leader Pastor Terry E. Mackey, wow God is soooo good. I love that he is and has characteristics like Pastor Thomas. Pastor Mackey's wife is lovely and beautiful. Micah, Timothy "the little Asst. Pastor is too cute and little Ms. Barbara is precious. I cried the first time I hear Pastor Mackey preach at Pilgrim, I said, Pastor Thomas would say "Where this boy come from, He good, ya'll gone be alright". Pastor Mackey keep on keepin on in the Lord. I love ya and praying that you continue to shine and not let the rich legacy of Pastor Thomas die. in my prayers, I love you and Pilgrim Family. God bless.

I've been a member for more than 5yrs. I know I gone get it when get up in there. We glorify Jesus. We surrender to God in unity. Our new pastor Mackey has found his home with our family here.....the choir tho'
