Folks - if your loved one has Medicare Part C, be advised that GNP will administer their healthcare and make decisions that is based on profit and not what is best for the patient. I had a family member that went through a medical condition that started out in the ER, was admitted into the hospital for a short stay of a few days. Then they were transferred to a rehabilitation center. After a month, we were advised that the Medicare insurance coverage would be terminated as it was decided by the physicians at GNP that they no longer needed care at the rehab center. Absolutely amazing. So my family member was kicked out unless we were willing to pay over $300.00/day out of pocket to stay at this facility. GNP's initial decision was appealed and was denied. All the healthcare professionals, from the staff Dr. to nurses and physical therapists, everyone could see the situation of this patient and agreed that discharge was not a good option at that time. But in the end, GNP made the decision without actually verifying the patient's current condition. So in the end, GNP will kick your loved ones out of any rehab facility if they made any minuscule progress or if they made no progress, the end result will be the same. So it does appear that profit, money in someone's pocket, is more important than the patient's actual progress and condition. Do not get into a long term medical situation with Medicare Part C especially if it is managed by GNP!!!
