Epic range of materials, felt like I was in willy wonka's chocolate factory! :-)

One of the best art stores in London. Amazing management from Luke and Barbara with a great team that does everything they can to help even under high pressure. Many thanks for sorting my latest exhibition, have attached some pics. Love and peace, Daniel.

The staff here are incredible. The framers will give you so much of their time to find something that works. Saved me a huge amount of money on frames.

Really exciting and well stocked art supply shop and such a great selection and at reasonable prices. Been there twice now. First time was great and they were all so welcoming and helpful and I was really looking forward to returning today to properly look around. Still a great shop but I think I'll use their click and collect system in future as today's visit I spent being trailed by their new security guard who clearly thought I looked suspicious as well as several members of staff who didn't ask if I needed help but several times trailed me around the shop. It was a hot day today and I walked from home to the shop so maybe looking hot and sweaty is suspicious or something.

Expensive delivery charges for a very slow delivery...

This place has everything you could possibly need. Seriously. It's huge, and with discounts on most things. I spent a happy hour wandering around choosing things. They also have a seating area with refreshments for if you need a break (or to play around with your new purchases). The table has pencils, markers and sheets of paper free for you to use if you just want to unwind for a bit.

Went there to find some paint etc for my kids school project (racing car costume). Spent a few minutes looking around aimlessly, had an idea of what I needed but once there I realised it wasn t as straight forward as I thought. I asked a nice lady to help with advice and a few minutes later, I had everything I needed. Many thanks to Barbara

I placed a small order at the beginning of February and it s now somewhat overdue for delivery. Payment was taken promptly. I ve sent two e mails to chase up, both unanswered and I have called the telephone number only to get an ansaphone, again no response back. I ve probably lost my money now so I m glad it was only a small order. I wish I had read previous reviews as these delivery problems have been going on for some time now. GreatArt- if you have a backlog then stop taking more orders until you have sorted out your problems! Steve Dimaline

I had the most amazing time in this store. Not only it is art heaven and had everything I wanted and more. The customer was amazing! Darek was friendly, helpful and he had that kind of natural customer service that was light and funny. The free coffee amazing and I honestly think this store is fantastic! Great job guys x

Friendly customer service, great variety of products for varying levels of experience.

I have only ever ordered online so cannot speak about in-store. I have ordered from here for a few years now and I have never been unhappy with them. Delivery is made in good time. Always send correct products. Reasonably priced considering they are in London. The only thing that I can fault them for is ordering stones etc, it looks online like you get 5 - 15kg for a certain amount of money. You don't. It means it costs that amount for each kg up 15kg. All in all I'm really happy with them.

Great Art is a shop stocked with everything any artist could need. Two floors of heavenly artist materials, of every kind. The staff are helpful (Luke thank you), and our Art Club visit was welcomed warmly. Free refreshments and welfare facilities to boot made this even better. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this treasure of a shop.

Would just like to say that I dealt with an absolutely wonderful girl here called Petra, she helped me resize my print, frame it and bubble wrapped it for me, absolutely amazing service and I can't recommend this shop highly enough for their level of customer service and sheer amount of stuff for sale, one stop shop for all artists/moronic boyfriends.

A wonderful place, with a large selection of everything a modern artist needs. Bonuses in the form of free samples of all sorts of little things and notebooks and coffee for all customers are pleasantly surprising. The staff are friendly and pleasant people.

It is a great shop indeed but every single time when I buy something the price is different on the till and I am talking about big differences in price. They need to work on this issue. Otherwise would be a 5 star shop. Now is just a rip off!

Amazing selection, every art supply you could dream of!

I ordered from this lot a month ago. Still hasn't arrived. I know times are tricky but you can't just take people's money and leave then not deliver. I've emailed four times and called the helpline. No reply, no explanation. Maybe go somewhere else instead.

Huge shop, several options for everything art related

My FAV Art store. I buy the XXL super wide canvases and Paul was super helpful! They have art studio discounts, promote local artists and have the largest selection of supplies I've seen in London.

I've been here a few times and could stay all day!!! Such a great selection, friendly staff, and a creative corner to sit & have a hot drink! What brings me to review, is that tonight, I attended the Collage Club workshop, we got to sample MT masking tape, and get creative. I see it as such a sanctuary, a place to meet other artists and creative people...as well as find quality art supplies at great prices, we even got pizza and a special discount today...ooh and a prize raffle!! Go go gooo!

I came here to buy some frames for some prints bought in Peru. Derek couldn't have been more helpful in his advice and the result is amazing. I'm definitely coming back!

My first time using acrylic paint so a bit unsure but ordered my paints/brushes and got to work. Very happy with materials did everthing I needed and very happy with the finish quality materials. My thanks to the lady in the London office when the courier had broken my parcel and lost one of the brushes she instantly replaced the item the next day terrific service. Would definitely recommend to others.

The shop has pretty much everything I could imagine I would need for an art project of any kind, all nicely organized and tidy. However the 5 stars go to the staff. Darek was really really nice and helpful. I will definitely come back next time I need artsy materials!

Good choice of paint, website works well, unfortunately distribution is not up to scratch,. very long delay to query by email and I'm still waiting for my order 14days later, helpful person on the helpline, please don't put 4 to 8 days delivery if you can't fulfill it still waiting you are RUBBISH

A huge range of art supplies at great prices. Heaven!!

Two terrible experiences with this Art Shop will not use again. The first time I ordered paper which was sent to the wrong address. The 2nd time I ordered Canvas which never arrived. After Two weeks I phoned and was told the Canvas was on it's way back to Germany. I had no idea a delivery had been attempted as there was no tracking information or card left. I was told I would have to wait until the canvas reached the factory back in Germany before i could have a refund which I agreed to. Almost a week later I have an email telling me the canvas is on it's way to my door. I never thought I'd find myself complaining about an art shop but the service was really disappointing and wasted a lot of my time. I'm still waiting on the refund.

Great place to go to for art supplies, the staff are friendly and helpful. And all the events are great to attend.

BEST Art supplies with really good student offers on any range of equipment with VAP card worth 15% and I do start to think Cass has been a daylight robbery compared to these guys + they have a huge store!

It seems like it sells every pen in production and has an extensive range of artist materials. If you love Art Shops, you ll definitely finish spending more than you intended

I went into this store today to buy a portfolio folder for my exhibition. I went downstairs where I met a member of staff Derek. I asked Derek for some card to cover my prints. He was interested in my prints and asked to see them. He made suggestions on how I can mount the prints and brought over the possible options. Derek kindly helped me mount my prints in the store. I was amazed at the level of helpfulness from him. He paid attention to every detail of my work. He delivered the best customer service I have ever experienced in my whole life. He exceeded my expectations. Thankyou so much Derek I can't Thankyou enough :) Overall a very helpful attentive store. The staff on the till were very helpful too 10/10

This is absolutely the Artists' heaven! Everything you could think about art materials is there.
Either you are a professional or a beginner you'll find the right product with the maximum quality for your needs.

The staff is very friendly and always able to help.

Atrocious. My order never showed up and Great Art has refused to respond to any of my emails. I have tried calling but every time it says nobody is available. I still haven't been able to contact a single person from the organisation. I understand there is a pandemic, but if they are able to receive orders and payment, there should be a way of contacting them. My order was apparently received by Great Art but I have no idea if it has even been sent. I was however sent a brochure a week after placing my order, so someone is obviously in. Will not use them again and would not recommend at all. Please let me know where my order is or give me my money back immediately.

Big sign outside saying 25% off for NHS staff- but then at the till they informed me that it doesn t actually apply to anything.. Pretty lame

A huge selection of art supplies at affordable prices.

First time ordering. Took about over a week to come - granted the situation so I didnt mind waiting. I was a little disappointed with the colour mixing however. 3/5 were good but the other two were not the colours i expected. I ordered Raw umber and Fluorescent green. Raw umber,instead of it having a khaki tint ....is just brown. The Fluorescent green is just neon green - and it should of had a tint of Olive colour to balance it out. Good paint pigmentation !

Since posting this review the goods arrived, preceeded by an apologetic phone call. Very happy with the products. sorry to say, this company do not answer their phone or emails.
I was given a lead time of 7-10 days , goods not arrived after two weeks not even notification of dispatch. payment has been taken but no sign of my order.

Fantastically stocked and organised art store, wonderful staff, F R E E C O F F E E and the 360 life drawing event run by Aaron Jones was a really fun creative experience! Highly recommended.

I ve been buying my art materials online from GreatArt for about eight years and so of course, when I was visiting a friend in London last week, I had to go and see the new store in Shoreditch. I was like a kid in a candy store! The space is absolutely huge and the variety of materials is vast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was nice to be able to chat with them about the different materials that I don t normally buy as I tend to stick to what I know. There is even a cool customer seating area to sit down at and have a complimentary coffee or tea while you flip through the catalogue. I only wish GreatArt would open up something similar in Edinburgh. A definite must visit for any art enthusiast from beginner to professional.

Probably the worst online buying experience I have ever suffered.

Got a top quality custom fit frame for a much lower price than other options. On top of that, friendly staff. There's a reason a lot of my artist and art student friends shop there.

This is a huge store with a vast range of products, not just for fine art but for sculpture, modelmaking, crafts and more. It's certainly not difficult to spend quite some time here. The long-established Paintworks may have recently closed a few hundred metres up the road, but Great Art is in an ideal position to settle in and more than take its place. Well worth a visit.

Particularly good for unbleached linen prestretchd canves. I don't even paint, but I bought some anyway

Hip Hoxton just got Hipper. Went to the new GreatArt shop in Shoreditch today. Would have been scarily easy to spend hundreds of pounds in a well-laid out Aladdin's Cave of materials, both familiar and undiscovered. I've been using GreatArt Online for years now, so I know their prices are extremely competitive and their range comparable with the best online art suppliers, but sometimes it feels risky to try a new technique/brush/material/support from just a virtual image and description, so I really appreciated being able to test the spring of the Da Vinci Forte brush, compare the different nibs on Graphix pens, choose the perfect piece of soapstone and get some advice on the right lacquer for gilding. The staff are friendly and available, and happy to do research to help make the right choices.
All in all, a great place to be inspired...
