Great Lakes Baseball Academy is truly a special organization where the development of the player goes beyond the baseball field. My son has grown in so many ways in addition to his growth as a ball player. If you are looking for an organization that truly will impact your child in a positive way while teaching them the right way to play the game, this is it. Every coach in the academy is top notch and positive in how they interact with the youth.
Great experience with the coaches in both the team setting and with lessons at the facility. The coaches are knowledgeable about baseball as well as teaching young men. I have both an 18 yr old and a 13 yr old and they love it there; it is like a club they want to belong to. The coaches work not only on mechanics, but also the mental side of approaching the game. The coaches build relationships and care about the boys which seems to have some of the greatest impact on their improvement. The facilities are also great; they are bright and have quality equipment.
This is by far the best Baseball training facility in the state! Some of the best coaches in my opinion! Not only do they make baseball fun for the kids, but they teach them life lessons and emphasize the mental aspects of the game.
My son has been working with Great Lakes ownership and coaches for over four years. Not only do they teach physical and mental fundamentals to succeed on the diamond but also skills that will help in the "game of life". My son looks forward spending time at Great Lakes because it feels like family. I recommend Great Lakes Baseball Academy if your looking for a club baseball experience.
Great place to train baseball and a good set of weights. Just expanded too to include more cages, and cages can be opened up for long toss and grounders.
Great Lakes Baseball Academy has been a great place for both of my sons. They have developed as ballplayers, but more importantly they have developed into better people with the help of The Academy. I've seen my boys become better leaders, show better sportsmanship, and be better teammates than they've ever been. All of the families involved with Great Lakes believe that achievement on the field does not mean leaving good values behind. The coaches all make sure the boys learn to play the game the right way while treating both teammates and opposing teams with respect. Great Lakes is a wonderful place to have my kids.

Great Lakes provides a positive and fun learning environment! The coaches are all top notch. They truly care about their players and it shows in their coaching! To them it's not about winning, it is about the love of the game and they are teaching my son how to appreciate how fortunate he is to have the opportunity to play an amazing sport!! I've been involved playing, coaching, and umping baseball for over 50 years and I am a Great Lakes fan! Brian Bambenek of Great Lakes Baseball, combined with Erik Lovdahl of LPA, and Cody Beam of Tier 1 performance have been and are a needed team for my son to not only grow and enhance his natural skills to be a high level player, but also worked with him after a tore ACL and meniscus tear to the bone to come back after one year to lead his team to the State Tournament. In addition, while playing on the Brian coached Great Lakes Team for the past three years, he learned how to compete against and play with top tier players across the country. That not only gave him confidence, but he saw what it takes to compete and fulfill his dreams of playing high level baseball. All Great Lakes coaches and personel are values driven leaders and mentors and work to get the best out of each player as an individual. If you want your player to keep life simple; "Listen to Mom and Dad, get good grades, play baseball." These are your guys.
The experiences and opportunities our son has had with this program have been remarkable. His baseball skills, intelligence, and passion increase every season and have molded him in to a player that is dedicated, hard working, goal directed, and strong in character. The coaching staff truly enjoy the game and instill a commitment to the physical and mental game, all while have a really great time. Our son has developed relationships that he will undoubtedly have for a lifetime. We will continue to participate fully in this program, and I highly recommend it.
