Everyone was so helpful. Jodi at International was extremely helpful and patient as she guided me through the ware house so I could see my granite slab. Her assistance and calming presence was reassuring.

Just installed my new Silestone countertops. Very careful and precise measurement and installation crews. I was impressed by their professionalism and thoroughness.
I was absolutely amazed at the selection of granite GME had on site as well as the courteous and informative guidance given by Masoud throughout the selection process. When installation day came, I was further amazed by the speed and precision the installers exhibited. The technician who did the measuring was spot on and the installation proceeded without a hitch. My kitchen counters are AMAZING!!!!! Thank you all for the beautiful job. Pam
I believe 5 star ratings should given about 1 time in 50. That's why this is a 4 star rating. GME did a fine job. We are happy with our new countertops.
We are so happy with our new granite counter top! We've not remodeled a kitchen before. The staff were informative and helped us along the way. Our installers were fabulous (Alex and Wilmer), too! I'd recommend Granite and Marble Express to friends and family!
4.5 stars--this site doesn't allow for half stars. We contracted through Lowe's for quartz counter tops in our large kitchen and worked with GME as their vendor for this service. In our experience, this is a very professional organization who, from top to bottom, sincerely want to do the right thing for the customer. They are exceptionally polite, and on the ball with communications, explaining what will happen and when and following up with reminders. They're punctual.
The quality of the stone is top notch--really impressive. I purchased high-end stone for our old house from a different vendor and found that some imperfect pieces of stone were used as back splashes--that wasn't the case with GME. The installation--installers simply couldn't be better. These guys were pros--worked clean, laid down tarps to protect the floors, did an immaculate sealing and caulking job to secure and finish the counters, and most importantly, perfectly drilled the holes for the faucet (with drills that had new bits that pierced the stone with no chips). I know from past experience with a different vendor that dull bits can chip and actually crack the stone and that happened. In that case the hairline crack was epoxied and though the fix held up, we had to live with an imperfect result.
GME also installed the sink and plumbing.
When using GME, and I recommend that you do, I would encourage you be involved in going through all the specs, and paperwork and be certain that any verbal arrangements you have made are evidenced in the final schematic. There's no short-cut to this. Even though they will come out and measure for you, you really do need to take the extra time to ensure that the paperwork reflects the thickness of the stone you want, the agreed price, counter overhangs, etc. Take your time with the final draft they send and make sure it's right, don't let them hurry you in this regard. We did have an issue that came up with regards to one of these aspects and after some back and forth the matter was resolved to our complete satisfaction. These are very decent people to work with and I greatly appreciate Fred's commitment to our project.
Wow! My experience with GME was fantastic! I had a granite kitchen counter put in and it looks beautiful. The counter was installed perfectly with no mess or damage to my kitchen. I recommend Tsoy's installation team as they were accommodating, professional, and highly skilled craftsman. From the beginning with Albert in the sales office to the final installation, this remodel was a breeze. I will have GME for my future granite needs.
The installation of the quartz countertop was perfect, the team from Granite and Marble did an outstanding job, arrived on time, worked fast, cleaned up afterward, it was fine job beginning to end, our thanks, Chris and Mary
We contacted GM Express to replace our marble countertops, which were scratched and stained, with a more durable surface. Their selection of various hard surfaces was extensive. Fariba, the Sales Rep, suggested Dekton, which we initially ordered, but had to switch to quartz because the thickness was not the same as the marble tops it would replace. While we were quite concerned about the installation, the person who did the precise measurements, the installers, and the plumber could not have been more pleasant or professional to work with. No harm was done to the existing cabinetry, backsplash or wood flooring, and the installers swept everything up and left our kitchen spotless. And, of course, the counters look great. Based on our experience, we would highly recommend Granite and Marble Express.
I had Silestone counters installed less than 3 years ago and have cracking in it already. Granite and Marble Express were less than helpful in supporting any sort of resolution via warranty. The manufacturer stated that it was caused by improper installation and not a fault in the product itself. There is absolutely no way to determine this via the pictures sent. At the very least I would have expected Granite and Marble to send someone out to inspect the crack and installation! Instead I am left to deal with the manufacturer myself which has not been easy. Beware when purchasing a product from here that they are unlikely to help you resolve any issues you may have down the road.
**Edit - While I appreciate the owner's response, it only reinforces the issue that I face and that future customers will face. I purchased a higher end product from G&M Express. After less than 3 years it is cracked and neither the seller or manufacturer are willing to do anything about it. Again, G&M Express is not even willing to inspect it. I am certain that customers will be able to find a seller/installer that is willing to back the products that they sell.
* AWESOME * Customer Service was Outstanding !!!!!!!!! I Purchased My counter top four days ago . I would just like to say that was the best buying experience I have ever had with contractors . Special Thanks to Aysan Abazari & Store Manager MR Bijan .... I will recommend Granite & Marble Express to all my friends .
Kudos to all the employees for their outstanding service. From the showroom employees to the granite processors to the the installers I couldn t have asked for a more respectful, knowledgeable, and willing crew. Wish there were more folks like your team in our world. Many thanks!
Not Good. They hastily cut out the sink holes and the granite fell through and broke my water drain pipe. Had difficulty getting back just $50 for that. Also when they cut the sink out dust went all over my house. It was terrible. I still am getting it off the walls 3 weeks later. I suspect this dust probably went into all my electric appliances and computers , etc. A bad experience.
The team at Granite & Marble Express are wonderful! They are very proficient and professional from placing the initial order, emailing design measurement for review and approval, following up with me after installation... However, I was extremely impressed with the installer (Alex). During the install he suggested that I may want to open windows and door for a while to minimize order from epoxy; my cabinets weren't level and he astutely recommended alternatives to mitigate. The smaller cabinet wasn't tall enough and Alex explained why I should make the adjustment. He explained in detail how to clean and maintain the product. He has a servant's heart. Danielle, a designer, assisted me with a modification to the small counter top. It was my error not having the right size cabinet. Danielle, looked at the plans asked me notate the correct size via email. Several days later, Alex returned back to my home and installed the wider granite counter top and back splash! I was willing to pay for my error in judgement and they didn't charge me!! They bent over backwards to ensure that I was pleased and got a beautiful crafted product. It's lovely! I highly recommend Granite & Marble Express to anyone in the DMV area. Bar none... Thank you so much!!!
Countertop in bathroom looks great. There was a problem with the bathroom vanity cabinet not fitting against the wall. Granite & Marble Express was able to correct the problem which is the kind of service I hoped to receive. Thanks to the workers who figured out what to do.
UPDATE: 2 weeks after the owners message below and 12 days after assuring me and HD that both countertops would be replaced, their Project Manager began employing the illogical to explain why my custom countertops must have only 90 angles despite my custom contract. Just no integrity at all and no sense of accountability, as they would rather make illogical statements and contradict themselves constantly as if not easily provable. HD refunded money for two (2) tops after they ignored my demand letter.
ORIGINAL: This company: 1) quoted pricing ($150) via email for an add l required trip for an appt 4 wks later then submitted a higher charge to HD ($200); 2) attempted to charge me for 3 trips at $200 per despite only coming to my home twice, 1 of which was included in my original purchase; 2) attempted to run my price by ~$700 and blatantly refused to justify the addition (took 3 wks, 3 HD managers and a HD District Service Manager to force removal of the charges; 4) added an invalid marking to my second template after I did the general approval (not measurements) that called out difficult installation (although all rectangular and no seams), long walkway (in TH so doesn t exist), difficult access (in TH with 1 flight of stairs so doesn t exist), and oversized pieces (live in TH that will not accomodate oversized items, all pieces easily cut from Silestone standard format slab so doesn t apply); 5) included charges for services and products that I never requested and explicitly rejected multiple times (we actually did over 1 yr ago); 6) asserted that they (Danielle) had already waived a lot for me which was not true when charges were bogus and still did not provide rationale; 7) assured in-person (Maz) on 27 Sep 18 that their countertops are indeed custom cut and will be cut on a slant despite a note on the drawing indicating that tile will be used as if I stated that was the intent to cover gaps behind a countertop edge and walls or adjacent cabinet items (in my case a flat refrigerator panel); 8) cut two (2) pieces of countertop incorrectly...one without regard for the slanted nature of the wall...a wall that was actually not called out to me in either of my two (2) template appts, on drawings, or via any other means as being an issue or non-flush before the install appt and after the countertop was already glued in-place...leaving a gap that cannot be hidden by tile, so essentially they expect that my glass tile edge will be plumb vertically and flush with the slanted wall appearance-wise at the corner where the countertop is supposed to sit but doesn t completely then a vertical gap and then the countertop corner (so a noticeable gap sandwiched between vertical tile edge and the vertical countertop edge) that is actually cut to curve away from the corner rather than snugly fitting against it. With regard to curving away from the boundary that it should fit snugly against to it s left and on the front exposed edge, the same is true of a roughly 26 x21 countertop that should sit snugly against my perfectly flat 2 x8 refrigerator panel but does not on the front edge; 10) cut bar countertop at wrong dimensions on one (1) side that supposed to touch wall given the slant that should be present was/is not and despite assurances received from Maz in-person on 27 Sep 18 that they have precision equipment that allows for slants; 11) Installers (who were very nice but spoke and understood very little English making it difficult for them to understand my assertions and for me to understand their intent) cut my drywall to recess countertop despite the fact that I explicitly said in-person to Maz and via email that I did not want anyone cutting my wall which they clearly failed to convey to the installer; 12) Fred outright refuses to be accountable and instead chose to minimize the sloppy appearance of the bar and amateur appearance of the odd left corner cuts both on the bar and smaller base cabinet creating no way to hide either.
They had a great selection for countertops and were very knowledgeable about what type of material we should choose and how it should be installed. The installers were very professional and everything was installed with perfection.
We purchased a quartzite countertop and 5 base cabinets for a kitchen peninsula project. Fariba was great to work with as once demolition began, we realized a support pillar would not allow the original design. She created a new layout for us and also tweaked a couple things along the way. The Fabuwood cabinets we bought are very high quality and we re happy with them. The counter top was installed perfectly. Lots of weird angles so I was a little worried but their measurement and install team did a fantastic job. We appreciated working with such a nice group of people.
Had a great experience with Granite & Marble Express. Very professional from start to finish. Installers were very professional and accommodating. Thanks to Home Depot for working with a great company. Remember delays can happen. NOBODY WANTS THEIR JOB RUSHED. You will be pleased with the end results.
I had an awesome experience . We were adding some cabinets and needed a discontinued Silestone pattern. I contacted Granite and Marble Express, Fariba our designer listened to my concerns and was familiar with the stone pattern needed. She took my information researched and found the piece of stone we needed to complete the job. She and her team took the time to explain the install process step by step and exceeded my expectations. The stone had to be seamed and back splash was added along with some additional cuts needed on site for receptacles. They were GREAT to deal with and I highly recommend them to anyone needing the smallest detail to full kitchen or bath stone installation. Its hard to find good people that are dependable and are still interested in providing great customer experience at a reasonable cost. Thanks, Bryant Kellenbenz
Working with Granite & Marble Express was a great experience. I started the process by ordering my countertops through Home Depot, and was placed in the excellent care of Granite & Marble Express. They were in touch often and were always happy to explain each process. The people who did the measurements and installation work were prompt and professional and the results are beautiful! I couldn't be more happy.
I recently contracted with Granite & Marble Express to put the countertops in my basement bar. I chose granite for part of the space and silestone for another section. They allowed me to visit the warehouse and inspect the granite before it was cut. They were accommodating with scheduling. They were quick to get the piece installed. They did an excellent job getting the work done on schedule and cleaned up when they left.
The team at Granite & Marble Express are the best. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great finished project. Their team members kept me informed during the complete process. They arrived on time and finished quickly. The process from start to finish was smooth and professional.
I ordered Silestone quartz and a sink provided by GME through Lowes well before we were ready because I was able to get a good deal. GME called every three days to see if I was ready. A few times, I called back and asked not to be called again until a certain date, and they were very courteous about this. When they came out to measure, the rep was pleasant and professional. He made recommendations, but I had to ask about seams. I was surprised to hear there would be three and I was warned they would be visible. Ok. He also took photos of everything, including my front entrance, side entrance and garage door--"so the guys carrying the counter know what to expect." My nice long countertop will be coming in four pieces so the door photos seemed a little unnecessary, but OK. Was told it would be 7-14 days before install, and they called the next day and said they could install two days later. I asked what I had to do to prepare; the agent did not know and transferred me to someone's voicemail. I did not leave a message and figured I'd be fine. Installers arrived on time. Helped me remove drawers and they disconnected the sink and disposal--I felt bad I had not thought about needing to do this. What a shame the scheduler couldn't tell me how to prep! The installation took 3 hours. The seams were, as I was warned, visible. The gap between the counters is very fine, but the adhesive seems too dark to me. Oh well. Unfortunately, the center section of the counter (the section with the sink) was either measured or cut incorrectly, so the adjoining piece that forms a right angle does not fit against the wall--there's a 3/8" gap along the entire wall. Our tiler who is doing the backsplash says he can cover it when he tiles but I expected better accuracy from GME. Went to hook up the sink after installers left and the trap was gone. They must have hauled it off with our sink. Unplanned trip to Lowes. Oops. Sink GME provided is deeper than my original and now the hook up is off by three inches. Back to Lowes again! This isnt their fault, but it would have been nice to have been able to plan for this in advance. I know people have had much worse experiences, but I don't think I'd use GME again.
UPDATE: A rep from GME contacted me after I wrote this review and said they wanted to take a look at the work and try to fix anything they did wrong. I was pleased they were concerned and agreed. When the rep came to my house, he agreed the gap was larger than necessary. He measured the counter and said it was cut exactly as measured. Oddly, when I suggested it was measured incorrectly, he did not respond or acknowledge that could have been the problem. And then he said all he could do was fill the crack with sealant to ensure water did not seap down behind the counter into the cabinet. Even though I dreaded the possibility of tearing up the counter again, I think offering to redo that counter slab would have been the appropriate solution. After all, I certainly didn't have a 3/8" gap in my old countertop. That said, I knew my tiler would be able to cover the gap so the appearance would be fine and sealing it would add protection from water damage, so I agreed. I really just wanted to be done. As for the dark seams, he tried to put a lighter sealant over the seam, but it didn't help and looked sloppy, so we both decided to leave it as is. While working on the gap, the rep mentioned the missing trap from under the sink and my complaint about them not informing me of how to prepare or what to expect as far as the sink and such. He made it seem as if I was unreasonable in these expectations, but I think being able to give a customer dimensions of a sink they purchased ahead of time and noting that plumbing may not fit together is simply good customer relations. On any account, the rep asked me to leave a new or change my review. I really can't say I am more satisfied with the job than I was, so I am not changing my rating, but I do give them credit for following up with me and coming to my house, which is a two hour drive from their business.
Great service and communication. The appointment or measuring for our bathroom vanity countertops went smoothly. In about a week and a half they were installed, which included the sinks and holes for the faucets. Fast, easy, with no hiccups.
Customer service with Mo was awesome. This was the cheapest that I found in the area for my small job (bathroom vanity). The fabrication was thorough, and they made it work within a fraction of an inch when I brought it home. This was a difficult job and they did it right.
I just wanted to thank you and your whole crew for doing such a good job on our countertops. We absolutely love them. The designers, fabricators and installers all did such a great job they look beautiful! But most of all you did a super job! You are very knowledgeable, helpful and patient; helping us through the whole process and working with us to make the whole experience smooth and the end result just great. We will highly recommend you and your company to anyone who needs new countertops and you will be the one we call when we remodel our 3rd bathroom.
Aysan provided our family and I an excellent Granite counter top for our new kitchen. She was very helpful in the entire process and I would highly recommend her.
Unsatisfactory product and installation!! Don't be fooled by the Lowe's display because it is NOT what you get! Our countertops are not smooth surface and are very pitted unlike anything in showroom display. We purchased granite counter tops through Lowe's with Granite and Marble Express. To start with, we had to have measurements twice. Then, after first install, the granite was extremely pitted and you could feel grit after running fingers across surface. After new granite, 2 weeks later, the counter tops are still pitted and the backsplash was installed 3/4" away from the wall and filled with a messy caulk job. The re-do is just as pitted as the first. They did come back a third time to fix the backsplash, but it is still not right. We're extremely unhappy with the countertops that are "seconds" and the shabby installs. Never use Lowe's as they sub out to companies like this.
I had quartzite kitchen countertops and subway tile backsplash installed in my kitchen in June. On install day, the old backsplash was supposed to be taken down and drywall repaired, but as the sales associate forgot to add it to the work order, the workers could not complete the work on the backsplash. Unfortunately the sales associate also forgot to put on the work order that the stove needed to be reconnected (after the worker disconnected it), so I spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to call the sales associate who finally approved the reconnection, after saying an additional $200 would be charged. The next morning, when the sunlight came through the window, there was a very obvious large dull spot on the counters where you could see rings from some type of a rotating machine. The company requested photos and then a few days later sent a worker out to take more photos. There was talk of possibly having to take the counters out. The worker was to go back to the office and discuss possibilities for repair with the owner. After 3 weeks, they finally sent someone out to polish the countertops and reseal. I didn t receive a call notifying me what time the worker would be arriving, he just showed up at my door. He was unable to provide any information as to how long he would be there or what he would be doing as he said he did not speak english. Thank goodness he polished and then resealed the counters and after a few hours, the blemish was gone. The tile guy that eventually came out and installed the backsplash said he could not get the install done in one day because he thought the old tile was already taken down and walls prepped. He must have rushed through because he did finish in one day but unfortunately a tile or two has slipped. I am still waiting for him to come back out and fix where the tile slipped and to fix the grout between the sink and countertop that was never sealed properly after two prior attempts. Scheduling to get workers back out has been a nightmare. I was never offered a discount for any of the trouble. And as stated above, the tile is still messed up. I do not recommend this company.
*update* The tile guy did come back out and fix the tile slippage and the sealed between the sink and window
They did a great job! They came out to measure within 4 days of ordering and had the counters installed one week later! We couldn't be happier with the level of service and responsiveness we received from the team. We look forward to working with them again for the rest of our kitchen.
We've come to the end of our kitchen update that started with our New Meera White granite countertops. We worked with Elham and could not be more pleased with the entire process. My spouse and I had a color scheme in mind as well as a budget. Elham was a gracious consultant with lots of positive energy. This was our first granite experience and it was amazing! Whatever questions we had, Elham was really quick to respond and thoroughly. She knows her products and made the experience really easy to navigate. The gentlemen who installed our granite were true craftsmen and worked exceptionally well around our 1985 island bar top (not shown) that was not level. This granite is gorgeous and so well installed! We look forward to updating our bathroom vanities and working with Elham to make it happen! Thanks, Elham! We appreciate you.
Home Depot contracted this company for my countertop project. I had never heard of them so I was a little worried. However. Granite & Marble Express did an AMAZING job. I opted for a Quartz countertop. They came in to do the measurements in a timely manner. My point of contact was Ryan Wong. He was very professional, communicated with me through every step, and was very knowledgeable. After scheduling installation, they had the new countertops installed within 2 hours. The entire job was completed in a total of 3 hours. I would definitely recommend this company. Love the work they did and my countertops look amazing.
We have been trying to call their office numerous times. The first time we were on hold for 20+ minutes, the second time 40+ minutes, the third time 1.5 hours! We selected call back every time and so far have not received a call back! In addition to calling them, we sent an email with our request, again, no responds! This has been beyond frustrating and I can only imagine how the rest of our installation journey will go.
The team was extremely helpful in helping us find a very specific look that fit in our budget and were patient in working with us as we finished other parts of the project before the countertop could be installed. Even helped to install the cabinet (not purchased from them as they did not have the color we wanted) at a very fair price. Process was painless and end product exceeded expectations. Looking forward to working with them again in the future!
I went in to look at large remanents for a vanity re-do. They tried to sell me very quickly (everything "looks great" with my tile and cabinet samples. When I did select a "maybe" piece, the price I was quoted was about double what I ended up paying elsewhere. Once the salesman realized I would not just be a quick sell at a high price, he quickly lost interest in helping me. This place seems to be high volume and lots of choice, but it seems that they deal more with contractors than retail customers (unless they can get a premium price). There are MANY granite places in Chantilly, I suggest you shop some of them instead.
Very professional in assessing my needs from initial contact and throughout the whole installation process. The counter tops are beautiful and the installers went the extra mile and corrected a warp in my wall to ensure a perfect fit for the countertop. And, on top of this, the price they quoted and delivered was great! Totally happy! Thank you Elham!
My countertops are beautiful but not on time! They showed up at 630 at night with a double sink but I specified I wanted single. George the owner said he d go out of his way to get me a bigger sink to fit...but he lied. I was unhappy it wasn t on time!!! Justin was wonderful to work with!
I highly recommend the team at Granite and Marble Express. From initial measurement to final installation, they made sure I was informed, kept up to date and when came time for installation, the on-site crew was friendly, courteous and very professional. The end result was a timely problem free installation, excellent counter top quality and workmanship! I would not hesitate to re-engage them again on future projects. Thank you.
The staff at granite and marble were awesome. Everyone was very professional and my installation team actually arrived early. The granite countertops look amazing and I am very happy with how smooth the process was.
Extremely knowledgeable sales reps. Large warehouse with all of the stone. They took a lot of time to understand our needs and then showed us the stone that addressed our desires. Friendly, professional and a company I would highly recommend.
Great experience! Everyone I worked with was kind, patient and professional. I had a small job, but took a long deciding on the right stone. Masoud was pleasant to work with, as was the team for measurements and installation. The installers did a fabulous job and were very meticulous with their work. Highly recommend.
Don't recommend. Poor customer service and small selection. After walking the floor and identifying two granite selections we liked, my wife and I asked for samples but they could not provide.
We did receive one sample but it was not one of the two granites we requested. I think the Sales Rep just grabbed something and told us the samples don't always match the slabs. We understand that, as my wife and I have done several kitchen renovations over the years but the sample provided was an altogether different granite. He should have just said he couldn't provide one.
We left and drove a block up the street to Fairfax Marble and Granite where we had a very good customer experience. The sales rep there had his team move slabs around for us so we could compare and choose. Fairfax Marble then provided large samples for us to take home so we could compare and narrow our choice against our kitchen lighting and existing cabinets. They even cut a sample for us when they didn't have one of the two we wanted to compare.
Don't settle for poor customer service. There is usually something better around the corner if you just look for it.
Our new granite countertop is absolutely perfect! It's beautiful! Aysan was extremely helpful from the time we first went to GMExpress to pick out our slab until the installation was complete. She was patient as we walked through the many, many slab pieces...over and over again, until finally deciding on a piece. We never felt pressured or rushed. She answered all questions through the entire process thoroughly and with knowledge. She even looked at the picture of our sink and gave us suggestions. From the selection to the installation, we have been nothing but extremely pleased with the service. Upon discovering one small issue, Aysan and Danielle, were quick to remedy the concern to our complete satisfaction. We are truly grateful that there are still people/businesses that are honorable and upstanding.
Professional interactions top to bottom. Installed granite in a wetbar and from the measurements through install they were superb. One very minor item that could possibly be improved is the repeating 3-day automated telephone call requesting to come measure. We had a general contractor so it should have went through him, but this may not be GME fault so I didn't consider it in the rating. Install is beautiful.
Highly recommend this company. Great experience. Measurer and installers where very professional and courteous. Installer made excellent recommendations on how the holes should be cut all excellent ideas.
GM Express installed quartz countertops in our kitchen last week. They did an excellent job. The person that came to take the laser-based precise measurements, and the two-man crew that ultimately performed the installation were all friendly and professional. Great job!
We had a great experience with Granite and marble express. It took us several months to do our kitchen renovation and they were in touch the entire time. We ordered through home Depot and got a great price. The quartz was beautiful and installed promptly and professionally. We'll definitely reach out to Granite and Marble express when we replace our bathroom countertops!
*** LOVE MY COUNTER TOP ** It's hard to find a company with prompt, knowledgeable and efficient customer service. If you are looking to replace your counter tops and want to work with a company where you don't have to pull teeth for a response, this is the place!
We are thrilled with our new counter top. I purchased granite from Granite and Marble Express. On my first visit I spoke with Mo. He explained the entire process, and I picked out a slab. (I had been looking at granite and other materials for a year, so I had a good idea what I wanted.) My kitchen project was delayed when a base cabinet was delivered damaged. While waiting for it, I reconsidered my colors. I stopped back in, and Mo, very patiently, had my slab pulled out so I could look at it and compare it to others.
My cabinet was delivered and measurements were taken. The measurer was very polite. He asked good questions and provided very specific instructions for my contractor of changes that would make the granite fit better. He did take pictures of doors for the installers. I received a picture of the granite with the layout of my countertops. Granite and Marble Express did a good job of avoiding the unsightly irregularities in the slab. They did not cut the counters until I approved the layout
My contract outlined everything I needed to do before installation. I called Mo once or twice to make sure I had everything. He gave me the name of a company that sells the type of brackets I wanted - Centerline Brackets in St. Augustine, Florida.
The installers did a quick walk-through when they arrived. They were quick (just a few hours) and did a great job. We did not have sinks when the measurements were taken, but the cuts made using the manufacturer's template were perfect.
I am very pleased with the granite and the service of Granite and Marble Express and will purchase from them again for my next project
Alex and his team did an excellent job with the granite installation. He explained things to me along the way and was very kind. I am so happy I chose Home Depot who used Granite and Marble express for installation. (Ordering and installation = 5 stars)
Measurement was another story (4-stars). They were scheduled to arrive on a Friday and they called that morning to cancel due to illness. They promptly reschedule for Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). The guy who came to measure told me he was not sure where to put the seam. He wanted to place the seam in the middle of sink/across my 15" peninsula overhang. I was not a fan of this-so he moved it to the edge of the sink. He told me if he kept the peninsula as one piece it WOULD NOT fit through my stairwell. I was sad but signed off on it. Then I began to think about it-I called and asked them to make a seamless peninsula cutout. After 4 days of "discussion" back and forth with Azir, Nelson, and the CAD expert-they agreed to make the cut the way I wanted and made me sign a document that said if it did not fit I was responsible for the price of a new stone. I had made a cardboard cutout at my house and knew it would fit (albeit-it would be a heavy piece and would require extra men and also a $200 charge for stairs, etc). So I signed. I signed finalizing this on a Friday and installation occurred on Thursday-I thought that was fast!
Besides the 2 measurement snafoos (having to reschedule and then 4 days worth of discussion)-I was pleased wth Granite and Marble express.
Also-just a heads up that you will wait about 20-30 minutes on hold if you try to call them about a pending order.
Horrible experience so far! I called to schedule an appointment for counter top measurement and I was on hold for 45 minutes even though I called right at 9am when they open. Called the other day, was on hold for 20 mins before getting someone on the phone. Ended up leaving my phone number for them to call and they never called me back on that number. Extremely frustrating!! 3/6: Third time I am calling GME and I have been on hold for 21 minutes and still holding. Not doing business with them again!
Apologizing is not good enough! First time I was on hold for 20 mins, 2nd time on hold for 45 mins, third time (today) on hold for 55 mins! Unacceptable! What excuse do you have for me being on hold for almost an hour today? Spreading the word about how bad your business is!
They did an AWESOME JOB!!! Easy to communicate with through the whole process!! Zaya is amazing!! Thank you guys the countertop looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GM Express installed quartz countertops in our kitchen last week. They did an excellent job. The person that came to take the laser-based precise measurements, and the two-man crew that ultimately performed the installation were all friendly and professional. Great job!
I had over 110 square feet of granite installed in my kitchen, the installers were very professional and meticulous in their detail. The seam came out very nice and is hard to find. I highly recommend this company.
Lowes Customer so you know they don't get as much money from us because we choose to go through some place local..
I picked out my slab in person in January. My cabinets took longer than expected but they came out to measure on Friday. On Monday I received my measurements email along with a waiver because they stated I hadn't picked out my slab. I called and said I had picked my slab and they tell me oh, it was broken. So now I can't take off of work to drive an hour and pick another slab so now my job gets held up on install until I can drive the hour out on Saturday. Just really disappointed because those slabs all look different and I expected them to take care of my slab until it was in my kitchen.
Really bad experience and customer service .. we had them install an accent Dekton as our fireplace hearth after we got inspired by their showroom display. When we viewed the slab itself it was a beautiful piece and the display showed gorgeous polished edges; however upon installing at our place the piece was so so dull and looked worn and had a dusty look, the edges were also dull and unfinished looking; we let them know right away and for 2 mths they kept giving us a run around; they sent a service dept staff who said they filed the complaint to the distributor .. after multiple calls they told me that it is not in manufacturer warranty and said they will get back to me after talking to the owner. To this day after another month of multiple emails and calls no one has gotten back to us. What s surprising is that that s not the only part of the job we got business to them for - we installed huge island countertops and entire kitchen countertops as well as mud room countertop by them .. you would think they would be happy to help you with all the business we had with them in the last 3months In this day and age where there are so so many competitors with similar pricing, bottom line is really customer service and providing excellent service to your clients that matters! Quite disappointed!!
FOLLOWUP- In response , GME team came and took care of the job to our satisfaction. We appreciate that they were able to resolve the issue and we are happy with the service and product; we will continue to monitor it and they have been very responsive to completing the job to our satisfaction! Thank you
Our experience with Granite and Marble Express was exceptionally pleasant. Although it took us several weeks to do our kitchen renovation (cabinet install) Ryan from GME stayed in touch regularly throughout the process. We ordered through home Depot and got a great price. We initially ordered only the countertops but then decided to include full width backsplash using the same countertop material. The quartz was beautiful and installed promptly and professionally. What we liked most about the install was the layout and flow of the quartz, how the intricate lines in the design ran smoothly from the countertop to the backsplash. Phenomenal attention to details! We'll definitely reach out to Granite and Marble express when we do our bathrooms.
We had a great experiencing working with Aysan for our kitchen countertops. She helped us narrow our criteria really quickly and even steered us toward a beautiful piece that was on sale. We had our two little kids with us by necessity and everyone in the showroom was very gracious and kind to them. The measuring and installation process could not have been easier. As soon as we were ready, the measurers came to our home, measured quickly and accurately, and were back in 7 days with our new counters. The install only took a couple of hours and it looks flawless! We will definitely recommend GME to our friends!
I was very impress with my experience at Granite & Marble Express. From their vast inventory to their great prices. But what really made me take the time to write this review, is how wonderful Aysan my sales advisor was. She took the time to really show me, all of the options and I could tell she really wanted to help. More than just make a quick sale.
Working with Fariba was a pleasure. She handled our order for a Cambria vanity counter. From the price to the scheduling and the finished product, everything was very smooth. Extra care was taken in the seam of the back/side splash to line up the veining. It turned out beautifully.
Terrible customer service and unskilled installation.
Granite and Marble Express installed our kitchen counters and they look great, no problems whatsoever.
However, we had a granite countertop installed for our outdoor grill area. The skirt for the countertop was installed incorrectly, and fell and broke within 1 month of installation. Granite and Marble Express agreed to replace the skirt, but the second installation also fell and broke within 1 month. The third installation worked fine for just under a year, and then fell and broke yet again. Granite and Marble Express again agreed to replace the skirt, but 6 months later, has not followed through on their promise and will no longer answer or return my calls. Buyers beware.
Extremely knowlegeable sales reps.Mo was patient as i asked many questions and considered all of my options. When i arrived at the shop to look at the granite. Mo and Masood were welcoming and really took the time to help me understand what would look best with my cabinets. The guys that came to install my countertop were professional and clearly wanted to make sure the job was done right . finally and the most of all i am extremely happy with the result .
Their measurements are based on laser and result in a CAD drawing on the spot. I cannot imagine a more thorough or professional preparation for a project. I have had two installs, one in my bar and one in my kitchen. Both installs were great. Where there was an issue they took the piece to the shop and came back two hours later with a fix... Very happy with the look and thrilled with the delivery!
We have a very good experience. We purchased granite counter tops through Home Depot and G&ME did the work. Everything went along quickly. They folks at G&ME were easy to reach and helpful. The installers did a great job and made sure I understood the product, had all the paperwork I needed. The counters are beautiful!
Great experience from start to finish. Had to get things measured twice but that's my fault because the cabinets weren't leveled enough. Appreciated the honest opinion about what could happen if cabinets weren't leveled. Installation team did a great job and everything looks great.
Every aspect of our purchase/install was done with great professionalism and expert care. I was particularly impressed with how carefully and thoroughly the pre-install measurements were conducted. The install team was also very efficient, careful, and did a great job with minimal mess afterward. Great job by the whole G&M team!
I have several rental properties in DC, and I have had to re-do several kitchens. I have been doing this for over 20 years. It is so rare to find a company that is so well-organized and so meticulous -- and all at a great price! I will never use anyone else for countertops. The staff who originally took my order were all exceptionally knowledgable and helpful; the guys who came to measure were amazingly precise and efficient; and the guys who came to install the countertop were precisely on time, and they executed the job beautifully. I have not been so impressed by a contractor in many years. And I just found them by Googling. :)
The most amazing thing about this company is that they completed the job in just over a week -- from my initial phone call to actual installation. Who does this? They were amazing all the way through.
I encourage everyone to use Granite and Marble Express.
I love my new countertops. The person who did the measurements, the installers and the plumber did a great job and were wonderful I would highly recommend them.
Excellent customer service - was contacted shortly after order was placed with Home Depot and informed of the entire process. Nick came out as scheduled to take measurements; explained exactly what he was doing and was very professional. I was contacted within a week about delivery and they came as scheduled. The installer (Tymu) was funny but professional. Beautiful countertop and island...professionally installed! (This company even offered me the option to come out to the showroom to see the product before installation but I waived my option to do so).
They would not talk to me unless I filled out their information card. I avoid giving out info about myself unless absolutely necessary. I hate getting on mailing lists. Your loss Granite & Marble. I remodel houses so you did not just lose out on one job but many, many, jobs.
All went well until you showed up to install. My sink can back scratched and chipped. Looked like it was slid around your shop face down on concrete. The sink was under mounted, those scratches aren't seen but, the chip and scratch on the bar between the basins is exposed. The single hole that was drilled for the faucet is to small, cant center up the faucet with center of sink. I also needed a second hole for the soap dispenser, your worker simply told me "no room" and refused to drill it. These issues need to be addressed. I'm working with Fred to resolve these eye-sores. I will find out if Fred is going to work with me. As far as the product itself, Top Notch. All edges and seams are flat and smooth. The fit is very tight.
can I give them ZERO stars? I've been on hold 2 days back to back with wait times exceeding 20mins before getting transferred to another department just to get hung up on. SMDH. Please get this together.
Had great customer service from Fariba. Answered all of our questions. We had health issues with our contractor which delayed our job, but G&M Express worked with us in the delay. Installers called ahead on day of install. Arrived on time and was done w/ install in half an hour. Cleaned up and were very polite. We are pleased w/ every dept. will use them again.
Fantastic experience! We had Silestone installed in our kitchen and marble for our master and guest bathrooms. We also had them install new sinks. They had a beautiful selection of various types of stone in the show room. The salesman helping us was very polite and patient. On installation day, the workers were very careful in our townhouse not to damage anything which was a challenge considering that our stairwell from the front door to the middle floor is very narrow. They also left the space nice and clean! I was amazed by how quickly and cleanly they completed the job. We absolutely LOVE our counters!
