Grandma's House of Hope Review

Grandma's House of Hope feels exactly like the name implies. A comfortable, warm, and loving home with supportive staff that offer hope for their participants. I was fortunate enough to have seen this organization from the inside out and was thoroughly impressed by the sincerity and dedication of the staff, specifically by the founder, Je'net Kreitner. She is steadfast in her commitment to serving as many individuals as humanly possible. Having been a person that experienced trauma, abuse, and homelessness herself, Je net understands the unique challenges that individuals within this sector face. Her tireless dedication, day in and day out, is a testament of her heart s desire to see lives positively impacted and transformed. (Which they are everyday at GHH). Thank God that people like Je net and organizations such as Grandma s House of Hope still exist in this world! #EmpoweringTheInvisiblePopulation

Grandma's House of Hope provides compassionate and uplifting transitional care to uniquely challenged women and children in crisis through love, hope and spiritual healing. They offer services to those that truly fall through the cracks of other programs- specializing in Human Trafficking, seniors with disabilities and homeless women with significant medical challenges, including breast cancer. These women in particular would not receive treatment if they did not have a safe, clean place to recover. Grandma's House also provides meals to children living in motels and other homeless conditions and are opening a new Education and Enrichment Center in Anaheim this year. So many lives have been changes and improved as they follow their own messaging of "loving others until they love themselves".

I TOO WAS A VICTIM AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE I HAD PART OF MY RENT THE FIRST MONTH AND A SCHOLRSHIP FOR THE OTHER HALF WHEN SHE KNEW I WOULD NOT GET HELP FOR THE SECOND MONTH SHE KICKED ME OUT I PICKED UP FOOD ON BEHALF OF GRANDMA'S HOUSE WAS NOT TREATED WELL AT ALL AND WHEN I WOULD NOT SIGN OVER MY FOODSTAMPS SHE KICKED ME OUT 3 WEEKS INTO THE SECOND MONTH SO I WAS BACK OUT ON THE STREETS. SHE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO GO TO SCHOOL TO BETTER MYSELF AND IF I HAD ANY COMPLAINTS SHE REPRIMANDED ME...

Very warm fuzzies, great environment, the people there become like family. There's always somebody there to talk to if you need to.. the homes and apartments are very nice and clean. I am very grateful for Grandma's House of Hope. The owners are very giving people and I'm very thankful and grateful for everything they've done for me in my life.

When I came to Grandma's House Of hope I was in a bad place mentally and phyically. I have been here for 1 year and 2 weeks and because Nancy and Je'net have shown so much love and compassion about where i am headed my life has changed SO much My mental health has improved so much and i have phyically gotten so much better all because these 2 ladies have invested there time in where im headed and in my future its amazing. I've never had anyone so invested in my success and it makes me want to succed so thank you Grandma's House Of Hope for All That You Do And Will Continue To Do.

I just saw a segment on the Today Shiw! What a phenomenal idea!!!

I lived at GHH for an extended period of time and graduated the program January 2018. This organization is a wonderful, caring place. I was moved to several of their properties and learned something at each home that I could use to better my situation. I received individual and group counseling, had a case manager for help with job and housing search among other things, was able to attend Bible study, learned how to better interact with others, learned to trust and feel more connected. I went to numerous events with other residents where we all received blessings of things like clothes, jewelry, grocery cards and movie tickets. The generosity of the community that supports GHH is amazing. I also saw first hand how much Je'net and her staff care about each resident having the proper tools and support to be able to move every aspect of their life to a higher level.
I was also very blessed that I was able to earn my Bachelors degree while living in this program, not an easy task let alone for an older returning student. I received an amazing amount of support from every level of staff and volunteers.
I would recommend this transitional housing program to anyone who is capable of complying with rules and willing to put forth every effort to facilitate the changes necessary to transition to permanent housing, recover from the life challenging problems of homelessness or addiction, and accept they deserve a new brilliant and happy way of life..

I was a victim too I paid my rent for 2 years in advance ! I also had a shower shop and a job all the money were taken away from me as well the scholarship to other people ! All what I worked for since 17 years was stolen from me in the last year ! Now I forgive and decided to move on with healthy people in my life but my grandma was the best I was a victim be terrorists my grandma is my hero

BED BUG INFESTATION. Toilet seat broken and ragged- they refused to fix it so I bought one at Home Depot and not only was I NOT REIMBURSED but didn't get so much as a 'thanks a bunch'. When I was blessed to be able to fly over this cookoos nest they refused to reimburse me for the remainder of the week I had paid for in advance. I am a grandma and I wouldn't treat a dog the way I had been treated at Grandma's House of Hope. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN AND BLOW IT UP WITH MASSIVE CANS OF FOGGERS TO KILL THE INFESTATION OF BEDBUGS, LICE, AND FLEAS.

I hate to say this but either this place is being ran by a bunch of theifs or there supporting theifs. I was in this program about a week ago and I decide to exit for personal reasons but I also ended up in the hospital and was unable to get my belongs. I let Roxanne know an I kept texting her asking when I could get my stuff she wouldn't reply so I eventually went and to my surprise half of my belongs are missing my Calvin Klein pack back, my jewelry, a Rosario that had more of a sentimental value, shampoo,condinor, Aldo sanddles, bag full of makeup and a folder with personal/important papers .I ask for it and Stephanie says she doesn't know she agreed to call my back she never did .I'm very angry not only because I don't have my stuff but also because there's was stuff in my Calvin Klein backpack in the bag with some of my other belongs so whomever took it and time to pick and choose and dump what they didn't like. Very unprofessional staff I'm still waiting to hear who's responsible for my stuff and they don't even have the nerve to answer my calls.

It was less the 3 days and if that was the case why didn't they "donate" everything not just the some what decent stuff I had. Valuable or not you guys should be more strict it took your staff more then 3days to go and search for my belongs because no one was there I continue to message an call your "staff" and no response . You should really reconsider trainning them more professional or could you please explain why no one has returned my calls

Saved my life. After 3 months I became a community leader felt great helping people. Recently I got my own place a 1 bedroom. I miss being there a lot of the time. Je net is a wonderful compassionate lady.
If you want to help yourself that s the place for you they will work with you to achieve you goals.
