Grand style hiring Review

I was so thankful to have unexpectedly driven past the warehouse of this absolutely gorgeous place. When i stepped in their showroom i was greeted by such warm, and inviting staff, the decor was all well displayed, giving me so many ideas, it made it so simple for me to decide what i wanted. I was quoted on the day and my goods was delivered in good order and on time. I will definitely use you guys again and recommend you always. Thank you for the amazing service!

Ayesha was so helpful and such a bubbly personality. Got lost trying to find the place though. Please add your name to the side of the building other than that this place is a 1 stop shop.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE

Wedding flowers arrived only to be old brown pink roses that looked like left overs from a baby shower.

The reference images provided and mock up approved was maroon themed and NOT baby pink!

Only to be informed on the day that they could not or would not help with rectifying the problem.

I spent the morning of my sisters wedding running around to all flower shops purchasing new flowers and having to redo everything from the table setting flowers down to the bridal bouquet.
Also, as ordered, no confetti arrived so those disgusting wilted pink flowers were put to some use at least.

It has taken me over a week to get one simple email for a refund for them to respond that they are going on holiday and will make payment for the refund and deposit in the new year?

When asked to speak to a manager or accounts, i am denied that too.

Equipment rented is in a state and very poorly maintained. Not anywhere close to what is displayed on the website, which is misleading.

I used Grand Style Hiring for a wedding I was coordinating and the service was efficient and professional. Good quality of decor and the flower arrangements was cost effective and exactly what I envisioned. On the wedding day we had a minor crisis with the tables we had ordered and the team quickly sorted it out. I often refer GSH to people, just this past weekend I was telling a friend about the service I received. I would definitely make use of GSH for future events.

Very disappointing. On 15 September my wedding planner (Thekla from The day Events) and I had a scheduled appointment and she was promised that we'd see different table set ups from briefs ive given her about styles of wedding table decor I like. We got there to a place that was ill prepared, no set up for us to choose from and everything I asked on the day,they had nothing of. Just poor excuses. Knowing Thekla and how thorough she is, she contacted them way in advance. I could not believe the level of unprofessionalism. If they were not prepared, they should have informed us. They definitely do not have the grand scale inventory they advertise. Alot of their items were mismatched, cracked and plain boring. But the worse is them not being forthcoming about what they can supply and what they can't. I understand we are in the midst of a pandemic. The lady that helped us did not seem to be on top of things but just makes promises. I wont recommend this company unless you want mediocre service and choice of inventory.

Function was in October 2018. Now the end if the year and I am still waiting for the refundable deposit.

My large decor order was completely forgotten about! Booked a delivery to Paarl for my decor hire 3 months in advance and followed up a week before the function, but they still forgot my order and delivery. The whole experience was a complete disaster....no apologies, just one excuse and lie after another. Many other great decor companies to choose from in Cape Town!

We used Grand Style Hiring for our daughter s wedding. It was the first time we had used them and they did not disappoint.
From the very beginning they were highly professional and quick to respond to requests. On the big day, the GSH team arrived right on time and quickly and efficiently offloaded the tables, chairs, umbrellas, etc., and helped us set them up. At the end of the day, the team arrived, again on time and in no time at all packed up and left. A big thank you GSH and we would certainly use them again.

We were short of two cloths at our last event but this was swiftly resolved with an urgent delivery in a private vehicle before our event started. :)

When hiring if covered remove cling wrap and inspect furniture as you don't want to be embarrassed by damage of furniture dents, scratches and chipped paint.

Grandstyle hiring styled my wedding last year, everything was perfect. Delivering detailed and competitive rates to beautiful set up with an large array of decor to choose from. We had our wedding at Moyo in kistenbosch which meant we had to supply everything fron tables and chairs to to candles and ornamnetal decor. What a pleasure working with the Grandstyle hiring team. I was happy with the products but when I had to get my deposit today the ladies upstairs made me wait unnecessarily whilst she was discussing an order with a colleague and the other lady in the room was sitting there on her cellphone. When I spoke to them about it the lady told me that order she was discussing was very important implying I as a client was not. And they did not even apologise about it. There are many other places to hire from I will go to next time.
