Appears to be on the way up. Some things to like about the course and service, but also some bad things like slow pace and hard ground around the greens that make it very difficult to chip.

Today was my first time playing this course! I have no idea why I waited for so long! Pristine greens, manicured fairways and roughs. Who would say a simple course design cannot make a great playing course. I absolutely love it.
Not difficult not easy. Some holes you can go for it, some others you better do your diligence before you can go for it and it pays off. Elevated greens with a huge fringe are a plus.
Kevin and his crew were great to me and my group. Outstanding customer service.
I ll come back and will bring more friends definitely
Nothing special to talk about. Ok for the price I paid on golf now. Pro shop not much of a pro shop. More of a bar. Driving range closed for repair I guess. Interesting layout. Fairways hard. Greens ok not a lot of undulations Not a play again course.
Wide open fairways and soft greens, can't ask for any more
Course not in good shape. Tee boxes and fairways need attention and most greens are fair. Not worth the weekend rate of $50.
Even thought the grass is in dormant stage. The greens are in decent shape.. I like this public course. I have played it 5 times in 2 weeks on a business trip.
Course is in really good condition right now. Greens are great. Friendly staff
The course layout is fun. Several different teebox options for all skill levels. Bunkers need some attention but weren't horrible. There are a few water hazards that can affect shot selection. Teeboxes were in ok shape as were the fairways and greens, but the whole course needs water it was very dry. The greens rolled ok but are really small with roll off that makes holding them difficult. They were really fast and cut very tight. They just finished a new pro shop/clubhouse but it isn't really a pro shop but more a snack shack that has a few golf items like balls, tees, and gloves. I will play again but book through golfnow it is much cheaper.
A great golf course to play golf enjoyed it very much
Had a great time at Grand Oaks in Grand Prairie today. The course was challenging but fair. Cory in the golf shop was a consumate gentleman and professional who displayed a genuine interest in my experience. I highly recommend this hidden gem.
First-time today. Lots of water , nice faraways and greens. Tee boxes was good also. Clubhouse os decent. Just need restrooms for players. Will go back again.
Probably the worst condition I've seen a course. An I've seen bad. Urgent maintenance needed badly
Wonderful golf course, I highly recommend. Very well maintained, Pro Shop Friendly, very nice.
Really like this course and all of the work they are putting into it.
Mature, tall trees. Beautiful course layout. Diamond in the rough. Clubhouse recently renovated and much more contemporary with excellent views of the course. Nice touches are noticeable.
Rain rain rain Shawn keep it going you have a diamond in the rough. Great course and Awesome staff.
Very nice course. Watch out for the water hazards tho. Most of them are hidden behind mounds. First time playing here so I lost about 4 balls in the water
The course is nice and the staff is great. It gets 3 stars because they are still renovating
Still a little winterized greens have some top dressing and fairways are thin. Fun track needs a little love.
This course is in bad shape. Not worth the $50 they charges. Greens are in horrible shape. I would pay no more than $20 until the course is in better condition.
What a glorious spacious oasis in the midst of the city! Bring your gal and putt around..hit a few. Come just to relax! Lots of little ponds and streams (yes, they are occupied by many of my golf balls). Very friendly folk operating the facility. Extremely reasonable prices! Drinks available. Worth the price just to ride around. Yes, its challenging....thus, Grand Oaks!
Nice coursefor the price and just having been reopened. The marshal was very nice.
Enjoyed the round. 4 out of 5 stars only because no access to restrooms at club house. A couple of decent outhouses on course. I liked the course and will be back.
I love playing this course, consider it my home course by the amount of times I have played it! The course is not too easy and not too hard, just perfect for a beginner and just challenging enough for an avid player! They have a driving range for irons only right now,but eventually will be a driving range as well. Also a chipping and putting practice green. Friendly staff and new clubhouse with 3 huge TV's makes a break between 9s nice! I give this place 5 stars!
Very friendly staff he gave me a couple pointers bc my first time to
play here. Fairways were
nice, greens were not good at all nothing would stick. Greens were so hard that there was never a ball mark when hitting green. T Boxes needed to be watered also. I used my driver less than normal and had a
very good back 9.
Fairway hard and cut to short, greens also hard and will no hold, this is a beautiful golf course and welll laid out love this course just no reward for hitting the greens
1/5 do not waste your time. I paid $40 in March 2021 and let me tell you, waste of money. In its current state , this is a $5-10 beginner course at best. Not properly taken care of at all, creeks look like those of a 3rd world country with all the stagnant garbage floating around. C'mon guys.......Currently the only impressive thing is the new clubhouse/bar.I'll be back in 6 weeks and will delete this review if course care issues are resolved
Picked up the Idealgolfer coupon for $25. Played at 220 on a Wednesday. I must have beat the work rush. When I arrived there were maybe 10 people on the course. When I left, the parking lot was completely full. Check in and pace of play was great. Though the greens were great. They were soft enough to make divots and they rolled true. I made a couple putts over 40 feet. The rough is pretty coarse and I couldn't power out of it on most shots, as my approach shots ended up 10 to 20 yards short. Overall, the course was great for being August. I had to battle grounds crew most the round :/ I enjoyed how the holes were lined with the oak trees. The view off #1 from the clubhouse is beautiful. I played my round in about 2 hours since I was a single and nobody was out there. I could see it stacking up behind me though. From what the gentlemen said in the clubhouse, the weekends can get pretty busy. I would recommend Grand Oaks but I personally won't be back for a while. The drive in is a killer from Weatherford. GP traffic is terrible! Solid round though!
Terrible condition. Needs time to grow out and drain. Puddles everywhere but the greens. There were 3 greens that actually rolled without random bumps and sand patches. No beverage cart or ranger to maintain pace of play. BUT $4 16 oz domestics so you ll get thru it
Greens were terrible.Great layout but the course needs lots of work.
This was a very nice golf course that I found out of the blue I forgot the guys name behind the counter I think his name was Doug he was very helpful I will be coming back
The course was in good shape and I felt COVID-19 safe.
Course was in great shape! Friendly helpful guy up front, Marshall didn't pour as well as the cart girl, but great seeing both of them. Quick round, definitely will be back.
Course was on great shape for a cold day in early March. Staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. Will definitely play here again.
Golf course is way different these days since I havent been here in over 10 years. Great value worth the drive.
It's Better than it used to be. It is a little tricked up. False fronts are good for courses that have greens that can hold a good shot. Luck counts more than skill here.
Great experience and despite the weather, it was a great course to play for the money! Enjoyed speaking with Jimmy and Ashley, they're a awesome addition to the staff!
Golf course is amazing! Had a great time with 4 of my friends. I used a variety of different clubs at the Tee due to creeks, ponds, and rivers in tricky spots down the fairway. Greens are in great condition, and the whole course is kept pretty short, therefore there wasnt much punishment if I let out that fade on the drive. They have beverage service on the course, and very kind marshals. Overall super happy with the course! P.S Thursday night scramble was a blast!
Mannn had a Great Round Staff always Friendly and THE GREENS ARE AWESOME Absolutely love this course FRFR....!!!!!
The original cart I received ran out of battery and then on the back 9 there was a scramble tourney that the golfers did themselves and started on the 18th and caused the back nine to take 45 minutes longer than it should have and the marshal did not once say anything or really even show up. I did say something and nothing was done.
Was slow playing due held by D women's Golf Asso's tounament.. but coursed much improved maintenaance's and enjoyable round with wife this time.
Hard course as in they dont water very hard ground, no cart person, no kitchen a few sandwiches that were pre-wraped and hot dogs on a warmer and brawts. :(
Great service. Clean. Quite. Very well taken care of. Thanks
Amazing course, clean, greens were in great conditions, friendly staff, everything on site to spend a good times with friends.
