Grand Hyatt New York Review

Short stay but very pleased...offered exceptional service! Market inside hotel made it quiet convenient to pick up snacks even hot pizza or sandwiches. Close to everything! Broadway, Times Square, Madison Square Garden...all nearby,and within walking distance!

Very professional, very elegant, rooms are clean and very comfortable, food top notch, and right in the middle of all the fun places in NY. Highly recommend.

Ridiculously over priced. They charged $44.50 for 3 standard instant coffees delivered to the room.

I booked this hotel for our VVIP client and i got confirmations for 2 Grand Deluxe King and 2 standard room I have called them in advance to reconfirm the king bed and they confirmed that 2 rooms are with King bed and 2 are with queen bed however when our client arrived at the hotel they were given twin bed for each rooms their excuse was that no more king bed rooms available. Very unprofessional for this hotel despite we paid for 2 Grand Deluxe King our VIP guests downgraded to a twin bedded rooms.

Will not recommend this hotel especially for VVIP clients.

I went to New York City with some friends in May 2018, and we stayed at this hotel. The location was very good BUT, the service was awful. I asked for bottle opener for and they said we do not have room service, so please come down to restaurant and get it . So I went down, and they told me we do not have bottle openers anyWHEre in this hotel . I was surprised, 5 star hotel didn t even have any bottle openers. Then I find out, this place has room service and bottle openers. So they lied to me very hardcore. I don t understand why the employees would lie about bottle openers. No one clean my rooms for 2 days. I can go on but you get the idea. This place has issues. If you can, avoid this hotel.

It is $500 a day for a decent room they you could easier get the same room for 100 dollars elsewhere.

They have given us a perfect treatment and the hotel is very cool !!!!

Excellent. Prices for ammenities and services that are not included in the room rate are a bit steep, so pop over to Grand Central for beverages and the like.

One of the finest, luxury hotels we have ever stayed at. Excellent long term rates for NYC with a location unmatched. This outstanding, upscale midtown Manhattan hotel is situated where most Broadway theaters are located, as well as movie theaters, restaurants, other places of entertainment - plenty of stores offering holiday sales. We were welcomed like VIP's with a large spread awaiting us in our spacious suite / room. Food and service is excellent with a romantic, elegant restaurant providing views of NYC - unmatched. Very clean and safe. Whether you are on business or visiting family and or friends - you will be pampered here.

Clean room, quiet and everyone was polite. The 'starbucks' coffee in the store downstairs is awful and water is overpriced, but would stay there again.

I'm tempted to give 4 stars for this hotel because it's hard to find good hotels at reasonable prices in nyc. This hotel is decent/good. It's clean, has a nice lobby, has a bar and restaurant. The restaurant caused food poisoning though and a rough next day because of it. That aside the bed is very uncomfortable. You can hear some traffic even on a higher floor. The renovated rooms are nicer than the old ones but not by a whole lot. It's a just okay hotel all in all and for the price it's hard to give it a really good rating. The thing that almost puts it at 4 stars I suppose is the convenience due to location next to grand central, nice receptionist and a coffee / convenience store. Also the lack of a bathtub at this price point is strange.

Hotel is ok, rooms are old and cleaning is also ok, undortunately staff is not very friendly.

Big fancy Hotel, just next to Grand Central and right on the middle of a city that never sleeps. Minutes away from a wide array of places to visit: restaurants, bars, etc.

We had a wonderfully time at the hotel. Check in and out was excellent

The bathrooms are small, even for NYC hotels. The rooms are in need of an update.

I gave the Grand Hyatt 4 stars despite this fact because the staff is excellent and they work very hard to provide exceptional service. Every request big and small was treated with the same level of care.

If the bathroom size or modernization of the rooms is the most important thing for you, then this may not be the place for you. However, if excellent customer service is the most critically important part of a stay, then you'll absolutely be happy here.

Great location. Meeting sides were excellent. Very busy lobby with long queues for checking in. Rooms ok, but a bit dull and a little tired. Bathroom tiny - I couldn't use the toilet without bashing against the shower or sink

Our room was clean. The staff was attentive and curteous, but the place is huge with not enough staff to support the guest and other visitors.

Stayed here for a night. Pricey, but its Manhattan, so understood. The experience was great, clean rooms, great service. Recommended for that experience of staying in Manhattan for a night.

Bought the extra clib package. Both espresso machines were broken and were not fixed the whole trip. It was not worth the extra money.

Good hotel, but there is too much people in the grand club(floor 16) they shoul dfix it and reduce the number of people with acces.

The regency room was great for the panel event. The food and snack bar was delicious. They even had the dish trays to place all dishes on after use.

Over prices for single room @$280 per night. Bathrooms looks overused and required maintenance.

The location is perfect!
Amenities are four-star hotels, with nothing but just shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. The water pressure is really weak. Disappointed compared to other Hyatt in Northern California. It's New York

Attended a professional event at the Grand Hyatt and the food that evening was pretty good.

The air in my room would not go lower than 75 degrees. The hotel sent someone to change the filter but it did not make the air go lower. The restaurant staff was rude and I had to go find the waiter to place my order
The check in staff was rude and not considerate. I will never stay here again and hope

Absolutely amazing experience !!!! The rooms were extremely clean, the entire front desk staff was unbelievable and one lady in particular, Bei Pei was SO helpful !!! What an absolute sweetheart. Highly recommend staying here if you re looking for a nice clean hotel with a beautiful view.

At the last page the price suddenly jumps with an extra $60 will not stay at hotels that engage in deceptive pricing. Should be banned by the FTC

The lobby of the Grand Hyatt is spacious and artsy. I was able to get a room upgrade with perks from yelp and that was nice. The lady at the front desk was super helpful and nice, gave me lots of free stuff with the room. The only thing I would change about the rooms are the small washrooms.

Parking is difficult, it is difficult to go to the sky

Great location being next to Grand Central Station. Nice hotel cool looking Restaurant and Bar in the lobby. The rooms are nice nothing too special but modern. Our room the bathroom was pretty small but sufficient. I would suggest this hotel.

They always treat me well here and I appreciate the hardworking staff that cares for each and every customer. You guys are doing an excellent job here and I hope you continue for many years to come

Location is perfect. Stead friendly and efficient. Rooms are New York small but that is not a negative. It is an older hotel that could use a major remodeling but it still works and is a good choice.
