Grand Hotel Kronenhof & Kulm Hotel 5st L. St. Moritz, Switzerland Review

The hotel is just fantastic. Excellent service, fantastic ambience, excellent wellness area and of course excellent food. There you can only feel good.

We stopped in to get directions and the staff went out of their way to help us.

A very classic 5 * hotel. I like modern hotels better. For a change, it was also nice to stay in a traditional house. The service is great. The house has no "Altbaumief", is very well maintained. Super renovated, stylish bathroom.

Fantastic location! Charm of the great hotelier Wilhelminian style of St. Moritz felt everywhere.

It's Saint Moritz so of course, so you expect perfection from swiss hospitality and the well-earned fame of this bulwark of St Moritz's history. You expect it and you get something that's very close as - as we all know - perfection is not of this world.

Classy without being too formal, luxury but still cozy and homelike, the Kulm really is the incarnation of high-end swiss hotellerie.

Two excellent restaurants (maybe the Grand does in traditional cuisine more than the K does for gourmet cuisine), a very nice Spa and swimming pool with an amazing view of the lake, ample rooms furnished as you'd expect from the class, and a fantastic service all around, always with the right tone, never too uptight nor too friendly.

Overall, a really pleasant experience, a rare one to find even among 5 star hotels.

Top hotel with central location. The rooms are being renovated gradually and the new rooms are absolutely outstanding. Nice big bathroom, spacious room and comfortable bed. Breakfast is superb and the view from the rooms as well as from the terrace is breathtaking.

Beautiful grand hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. We particularly liked the spa area with the huge swimming pool and the sauna with antique wood.
The view from the room to the lake is terrific.

The Kulm Hotel will always be remembered as a place of hospitality and good service. My parents and I have stayed there many times during my time in the famous and notorious Lyceum Alpinum and have only had good experience. At friendliness and helpfulness even then the staff of this house were unbeatable.

I would like to thank you, even if it was already several years ago, for the nice moments in the house with all employees and employees.

Great Service

5 stars for the hotel, the newly renovated junior suite overlooking the lake and the very attentive service, 1 star for the imposed half board. Never eaten so moderately, on Christmas Eve. On the following days we have renounced.

In the middle of July I was able to enjoy some wonderful days at the Kulm Hotel. For more than 4 decades I know and travel the Engadin and have experienced several first-class hotels, but never experienced such a wonderful package as in this big house. From the first moment I felt like a regular, everyone was courteous and competent. I would particularly like to highlight the warmth of the host-couple Hunkeler. Ms. Hunkeler took a lot of time and brought me closer to cutting details and gave me the feeling of being in good hands. Thank you very much for that at this point.
The food selection is enormous even in the summer, I highly recommend all restaurants, whether The Pizzeria, Chesa al Parc with the excellent Mrs. Kretschmann, the extravagant and gorgeous Country Club and of course the impressive Grand Restaurant with the creations of the brigade of Mr. Taufer , This personally inquired about the satisfaction and especially his Italian buffet is in a class of its own and you should not miss! Needless to say, the service is world class, with grandeur, gracious and helpful. The breakfast egg was perfect, the coffee as I wish and the buffet huge.
Value for money, especially in view of the beautifully renovated room (designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon), a noble bathroom, unique views of the lake & mountains, perfect cleanliness, tranquility and bed like no other bedding (keyword Dauny / pillow menu) etc. is absolutely fair.
I'll come back here in the winter, that's "my" new home in the Engadine. Allegra and thanks for the unforgettable first of hopefully many stays, I'm looking forward to it!

It was a pleasure to stay in this wonderful hotel. The service is excellent and very friendly. Concierge service is motivated and assists you with pretty much everything (from a shuttle service to the cable car to go skiing up to just a bottle of water when you're leaving).
The food is delicious and you can taste the quality. The hotel offers a large breakfast with highly attentive service personal. Everything is fresh and you can experience the local cuisine.
I enjoyed the Spa. It's a really nice place, two pools (indoor and heated outdoor with a great view). Everything is clean and not too overcrowded. They offer a large variety of wellness treatments. Moreover you can find fresh fruits, water and tea for loading up your energy there are two chill out rooms.
I really liked the gym with a great view over the lake. Equipment is quite new.

All in all, it was a great stay and I'll come back for sure!!

Wow. Classy? Ask for a swift lift to the ststion...up glides a stretch limo. Pack plenty of clothes.

Thanks to the sunny weekend too, it was a great stay in St Moritz Kulm. Since the beginning we were spoiled by a nice and expert staff. Great parking service and free shuttle to the ski facilities or to the village downtown. A nice room with lake view. The best spa ever seen so far. Huge indoor pool and outdoor hot pool with all the spoiling stuff like bubbling and jet water that you manage by yourself when needed. Superb view while relaxing outside in hot water. Sauna, massage and many other relaxing facilities. This is what a spa should be for me!
Very good breakfast restaurant even if a little bit Old style as furnishing, but the whole hotel is like that. There are lots of longtime guests that like Kulm as it is, but even if it looks a little bit old all is working very well.

Luxurious, comfortable, spacious rooms, fabulous breakfast! The staff was very kind. Only a small TV problem that could not be solved due to the late hour. It's a shame to have stayed only one night and not been able to take advantage of the fantastic spa and swimming pools.

I was staying for another holiday at Kulm recently and got disappointed for the first time. Already at the beginning, the guy at the entrance (Raffaele) was unbelieveably rude when arriving by car. When we stopped the car behind another one at the entrance, he was not there to take care of luggage and car. No problem for us, so we went to the reception. Suddenly, he appeared telling us in Italian in a rude manner to move immediately or give the keys. Well Raffaele, you should be there in the first place! So we stopped checking in and went to move the car by ourselves. But Raffaele had disappeared already, so we had to wait in front of the parking barrier again. What a disappointing start in our vacation!

We eventually made it inside, they took care of our baggage. The rest of our stay very pleasant as always thanks to Cornelius at the reception, the exceptionally good food at K restaurant and the lovely Jazz bar downstairs. Just make sure that the employees (especially Raffaele!) making the first impressions to your guests is doing as well as all the others!

Okay what about the kulm and certainly one of the best St. Moritz hotel both for its beauty and for its view from kulm you can admire the Lake Lugano also has an open bar where you can Enjoy the best cigars in the world or drink an excellent gin and tonic I recommend it to all those who are passing through San Moritz or feel in the mood to have a nice experience

A dream of a hotel, the entire service staff inspires with friendliness and expertise. The wellness area makes the athlete's heart beat faster, large indoor pool, outdoor pool with a fantastic view at 35 degrees water temperature. And the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, just fantastic !!!

I did not stay at the hotel, I stayed at the Spa and it was a very pleasant experience, the hot pool outside is fabulous and the large room inside is perfect for letting yourself go for total relaxation, the staff is very kind only where there are swimming pools and changing rooms you never see them

I am fully recommend Sunny Bar for my family and friends.

All excellent including the spa. St Moritz's largest swimming pool after the public pool. Spacious and top-equipped rooms. Excellent cuisine and also the Japanese restaurant. All worthy of a five star, of course, not everyone can afford its prices which are undoubtedly high. Spend a little less in the summer season.

Absolutely one of the best hotels in the world. Amazing experience and the spa is worth is alone. Every experienced traveler should try staying here at least once. Attention to detail and comfort was exquisite.

Noble is hardly possible! In the footsteps of 007. Not just cheap but unbelievable! That's why in there!

I had an excellent experience at Kulm Hotel. Right from the warm welcome at Reception, where we were offered a cup of excellent herbal tea and tiny delicious cookies and chocolates, whilst the Front Desk staff completed our registration. And it didn't stop there. Throughout our stay we felt respected and were made to feel special.

The hotel staff were friendly and always ready with answers to all our questions - especially when it came to sightseeing and where to eat in St Moritz! We tended not to eat in the hotel apart from breakfast which was a wonderful experience - the array of food was vast and I was blown away by the care and attention to details with which our eggs and other hot items were cooked - but we had amazingly delicious meals on two separate evenings at both the adjoining PIZZERIA and the KULM COUNTRY CLUB.

St Moritz itself is stunningly beautiful and the views from our room looking out on to the lake made waking up each morning an absolute pleasure. We never ever drew our curtains lol ...

Pricewise, the Kulm Hotel St Moritz may not be for the fainthearted but, trust me, save up and treat yourselves to a weekend stay there. It lives up to its 5-star luxury hotel status and goes far and beyond making you feel comfortable and pampered.

Don t know about winter-time, but in summer it s better to avoid this place. 50% of facilities are working on 50% of their potential. Good pool though.

Had to go for just over 3,000 euros for 1 week but it was worth every penny
