This place sucks. The heat doesn't work in the room, they barely give you any blankets or towels, and there's no decent cable channels. The room has a fridge but no microwave. They only have Pepsi; no Coke and the room service menu is skimpy and insane. $14 for pancakes and they add on $4 just to walk it up to your room and then they decide they should get an 18% tip for lousy little bit of effort. Then for these insane prices they can't even offer a complimentary breakfast buffet. Don't even get me started on how loud it is. I can't even say the room was clean because there was packing tape all over the walls. Holiday Inn would have been a lot nicer for half the price. The only thing "grand" here are the astronomical prices and their inflated opinion of themselves.

Beautiful place. We walked the grounds and found it very peaceful. Enjoy a few restaurants and bars, golf, spa, horseback riding, and, oh yeah, there's a water park too! We brought our infant. It was tough to get around with a stroller. Lots of stairs throughout.

The grounds are pristine, the villas were nicer than my house, and the amenities are innumerable. Every morning I would wake up in my king bed and walk all of 20 feet from my back patio to the pool. The afternoons were spent tackling one of the two excellent golf courses (maintained in immaculate dacondition), enjoying the nature trails, or taking in beautiful views with a beverage in hand. The lodge houses some excellent restaurants and a poolside bar. The spa services were a bit pricey, but well worth it.

We were at the Grand Geneva for the Sunday champagne brunch buffet. There was a great selection of food, bottomless mimosas, and a great waitstaff. The prime rib was especially delicious and the desserts were outstanding.

Highly recommend The Grand Geneva for any occasion! From the initial phone call to make a reservation, their employees treat you like royalty! We stayed here a few years ago for our first anniversary and fell in love with this place because of its dedicated and incredibly nice employees as well as the beauty of The Grand Geneva. The Grand Geneva goes above and beyond to make the experience memorable forever! Our recent visit on July 26 was once again perfect! We LOVE this place! Thank you, Grand Geneva

If you have seen Dirty Dancing you'll understand why I say. This is my version of Mountain Lake Lodge in Wisconsin. What they offer is remarkable for WI. The golf courses are a blast if you like a challenge. Its clean, fun, relaxing. The gym and spa are much better than other resorts I have been too. Jazz and piano music is peacefull. Definitely a place I'd recommend if you love to relax.

I have been to the Grand Geneva numerous times wit...

I have been to the Grand Geneva numerous times with my husband however, I visited the spa with my friend on my most recent trip. We reserved farmhouse massages which were very nice, albeit very expensive. As we were hydrating with a cup of ice water in the locker room, I watched the locker room attendant clean and organize the materials. She walked to a hamper/bin labeled "slippers only" and removed the slippers (shower shoes) all clients were given. As she matched them up, I thought to myself "I wonder where and how they will clean and sanitize the shoes?" Unfortunately, I could not answer the question because she put the shoes back out with cleaning, spraying, or wiping them down! They were going to be used for more women right away! My friend and I looked at each other and thought "is this really happening?" We quickly removed our shoes and wiped down our feet (who knows who had on those shoes before us and what could have been on their feet. My vision of the spa and establishment was slightly tarnished after this experience. People are paying big money for the services and you need to appropriately clean materials for your customers! I know things like this probably happen a lot of places but seeing it first hand was appalling.

The Xmas decorations were absolutely amazing. Place felt warm and cozy and definitely got you into the Christmas Spirit. Great service, very enjoyable. The food was average at best. I would plan on spending your money on restaurants outside the property. Breakfast buffet was average, Brissago Italian Restaurant not worth it- very disappointed with the food.

There's a nice little coffee shop in the hotel with some food, which is fantastic if you're mostly sticking close by. It's also located in a beautiful spot with a lot to do around the resort. Unfortunately, the structure is really long and the stair system is a little confusing so navigating can take some getting used to.

Wonderful rooms and staff! Kids can reserve fun activities such as making slime or stuffed animals while grown ups can do a history class on the hotel or the paint and sip. Ava and Grace were very good at watching kids on science night while grown ups were at the paint and sip! The views from the hotel rooms were beautiful and there are many family activities like the Downtown Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Waterpark, Grand Geneva activities, the many pools, and the Dan Patch Farm.

Had our family wedding here. I can't begin to describe how horrible their service is! They screwed up our entire hotel block, told us a month before they didn't have enough rooms despite our contracted number. We were scrambling to find hotels, had to meet with the director of events several times because of screw ups. Their wedding planners are unreliable, our first one quit and never told us she was leaving. The replacement was rude, never responded to emails or seemed to care. When we tried to drop of decorations the week of the wedding, the lady working at the Chalet was so rude, rolled her eyes and said they didn't have any room. We had to argue to accomplish anything. To top it off, on the weekend of the wedding they didn't have bride and groom room available!! Put us in a different room, then told us we had to vacate that room in the morning. No place for any of our stuff: wedding gowns, tuxes..ect. After our refusal to move to yet a 3rd room, they came and moved all our stuff while we were away at the rehearsal dinner!!! Unbelievable!! For the price you pay for a wedding at the Grand Geneva, we expected so much more. What a disappointment...

Exactly the quiet getaway I was looking for. Went with some friends while the hotel was running a really good deal and definitely enjoyed the time there. Plenty to do on site, great views, and didn't meet a staff member who was anything but friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend and will be back.

OK playing place for the big Chicago area bridge t...

OK playing place for the big Chicago area bridge tournaments over the years, but it's getting run down and needs renovation. The signage is misleading or lacking. The Mediterranean salad with shrimp in the one restaurant I tried was $21! It was pretty good and the service was great, but that was still overpriced. The barbecue restaurant is open only on weekends, and is hard to find. One cafe in the same building was located in the swimming pool area, where the heat and humidity were nothing short of what you might find in midsummer in Calcutta. The worst part was when they broke their commitment to provide the same usual bridge playing space for the entire tournament. We got kicked out and shifted to a hard-to-find cramped room with the tables jammed together and NO DRINKING WATER. I was happy to hear reports that the Chicago Contract Bridge Association will hold future events elsewhere, even if it means an additional two hours or more of travel for me and my partners, teammates, and other members of our local bridge club on the other side of Wisconsin (La Crosse). Top-level bridge is difficult enough, especially in my late 70s, without getting screwed around with by facility management. This is not sour grapes I was well up in the top 10 performers out of hundreds of players last time I checked. The tournament directors had to cancel the last evening's event because not enough players were interested. That same event would have drawn dozens or hundreds of players some years ago. This used to be one of our favorite places and tournaments. Not any more.

I was there for a craft show. Not a good set up. Parking was a nightmare, very long walk to site from where they made us park. I wouldn't attend again. Not many crafts, instead, lots of independent sales. Jewelry, weight loss, etc

Was there for a conference; the conference rooms were very nice. The room I reserved was "unavailable", given a "complimentary" upgrade. Thank you! The room was on the ground level, close to another event going on. In addition, no where close to the event. Both nights I was there, a dj had been hired. Needless to say I could hear the music and it didn't stop until midnight or shortly after. My conference started at 8am therefore I had to be up by 6am

Stayed at the Timber Ridge hotel at the Grand Geneva Resort. We stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom suite and enjoyed daily access to the waterpark on site. Having a kitchen available was very convenient as there were two children under 3 yrs old in our group. The ability to prepare meals and snacks for picky kids was a huge bonus. We would definitely go again.

The space was nice for our conference. It was a little loud in the back area when they were preparing for lunch with dishing banging around, but not too distracting. Staff was great and accommodating.

The staff is out of this world! The meeting spaces look great and the rooms are cozy. The sauna and hot tub truly hit the spot. It was a wonderful place to have an event, not to mention the food was good.

When the air conditioning unit in our room froze up, they had a serviceman working on it within 30 minutes. He resolved the problem and left coupons for complimentary gelato because we are inconvenienced. Good service goes a long way!
