A place of great history, friendly staff and excellent food.
Super cozy, good food, staff top. Beautiful historic decor
Delicious food, good service and good prices. Unfortunately the wine was disappointing and I thought it was too expensive for 4 per pound for a house wine. I will skip WC in the future, it was too bad for words and can really be cleaned more often. All in all good food, good service, poor price quality with house wine and simply nasty sanitary facilities.
Something outdated at the price
But excellent food!
Because we had to wait a little longer, we got bread from the company. Nice service delicious eaten for a great price. Recommended!!
was there again, ... come regularly, ... summer; s or swinters, .. just a top case and all employees are completely Top, ... if you complain about this shop, .. you complain about your own home or kitchen, do your household first ... maybe you will love Grand Cafes whahaaa wish Schoonoord good luck to soon again .... Greetings Fonz Wenehenubun Kinderdijk, ...... ps was there yesterday
Cozy restaurant with good cuisine and very attentive service.
Place on the main road. Food is good appearance less. Nice place to rest during a bike ride.
Friendly people but not really value for money. Have to wait a long time. Expensive sandwiches of very small size. Plastic found in the food
Very cozy.
You can go outside in the conservatory view.
Friendly staff.
They serve delicious wines here. We have not eaten anything so only wine is possible. Food looks great by the way. The owner of this restaurant is really very friendly with an emphasis on really. Parking right outside the door is free.
This place has a nice interior and their food is okay but because of the price it is pretty much not worth it, but it being the only fancy restaurant in Oosterbeek you should go their. (Because the other restaurants are even worse, the only one that s arguably better is restaurant Hartenstein)
Tasty meals if you want to bite quickly and cheaply, very friendly staff.
Curious about the food due to the new owner. Eaten very well. Nice and surprising card. And although there was no salad on the menu, it was made without any problems.
Will come back for sure.
Great service and great food
Highly recommended
Delicious lunch, I myself had a bouncer with ham and cheese which tasted very good. And my girlfriend had the pumpkin soup which also tasted great. It struck me that my bouncer was already spiced (pepper and salt) and that these herbs were not offered on the table.
The service was also quite noisy talking about private affairs at the bar, funny to hear that. But also somewhat disturbing. All in all delicious food and would come back again
Delicious eaten. Restaurant with a fantastic chef! We will certainly come back here more often.
Eaten surprise menu. What we enjoyed!
Been a number of times already.
It is more than worth its 5 stars.
Each dish is prepared with great care and love.
We continue to recommend this.
Cozy restaurant, many English due to airborne commemorations. Staff is terribly busy but still friendly and smiling
Delicious food and very friendly staff. We were even translated the dishes into English by the waitress, as the menu was only in Dutch. Price performance is optimal.
This is the "Airborne Pub" in Oosterbeek. It used to be a hotel, then for a few days in 1944 it was an emergency hospital for British Paras during the Battle of Arnhem. Since then this pub is strongly connect to those events like much of Oosterbeek is.
My wife and I used to crash here recovering from being young parents. It's an uncomplicated hospitable place, we could just sit and eat and relax, a true luxury at the time. We've never stopped coming back. Not only are the prices very reasonable, they perhaps serve the best pizza this side of the alps.
Especially if you're from Britain and in the area this really is a must-visit.
Excellent delicious food and friendly service. Has small airborne forces display.
Very nice coffee, pastries of your choice from the display case, nice sitting areas, nice decoration, nice service. But ... the toilet doors are very dirty and the pizza (although not expensive) too greasy. Still a bit of a letdown.
Very tasty, pleasant service. It took a long time before we got it ordered.
Great food, friendly people and not formal. Just a nice thing and the bouncer was excellent.
Good food for a normal price. Service neat and friendly
Super nice service, very personal and excellent kitchen. Suitable for a very broad group
Smooth service. Clean and friendly welcome. Food great.
Since March 2, 2018 by ALL NEW
OWNER -Suzan and Robert van Silfhout-
Just opened but again the well-known hospitality of Robert who manages his team well.
A beautiful menu is on the table together with chef Mark Vos.
And they will certainly see us again.
Bicycle friendly. Covered terrace. Coffee +
The restaurant was already there before the street became busy, so you can't blame them :-)
Operation was not what we are used to. Coffee with apple pie, which we finally got was delicious.
Very good restaurant. Good quality of food and very kind staff. ,
Meanwhile, proven good. Well-known and fun team. Good hospitality. Great place. Comfortable seats and couches. Good food. Tuna, Wagyu meat and a richly filled cheese board. Creative surprise menus. Excellent value for money. Nice audience. Centrally situated. Free parking. Easily accessible. And if you have nothing to tell each other, there is plenty of movement outside. Has everything for a bright future.
Good stop for a snack and / or drink. Certainly in a historic building. This was a wounded post during the Battle of Arnhem.
Super hospitable! Water bottles were filled with ice water when we were waiting in front of the traffic light.
Nice restaurant, conveniently located between the center and Hartenstein. Wide choice of pizzas, pasta, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Excellent price / quality.
Minus was the noisy refrigerator with cakes in the conservatory.
Delicious eaten. New owner and new good menu. The beet risotto was delicious!
Delicious food, nice modernized tent. Also staff who can work and listen. Often you don't get many different faces at the table here. Makes it all a very fine dining location.
Great dishes, limited menu.
Well located near busy main road.
Tasty and interesting surprise menu available here.
Since the takeover last year, by the couple Suzan and Robert van Silfhout and a driven white brigade led by Mark Vos, this restaurant has been repeatedly used by us as a point of rest and culinary enjoyment of the staff and the interior which respect us to our current freedom recalled, a fixed address and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOPPER.
Poor service, food not hot. Price quality is not right. Menu in a photo frame. The next time it becomes a different restaurant.
Very pleasant cafe and staff. Near cemetery for 1st Airborne Division. This cafe has a lot of memorabilia on the Battle of Arnhem.
Beautiful restaurant and cheerful and helpful staff
We have been surprised with the 3-course menu. Was very tasty for a good price. Come back again
Top quality food, coffee, and beer. The staff are very polite and very respective of the Airbourne veteran's. I hope to visit again soon.
A well-organized whiskey tasting, with special and tasteful whiskeys, at a reasonable price.
Super nice and very cozy restaurant. Robert makes sure you are served and the staff is super friendly
Very delicious food. But the fact that you can only get French fries with every main course is incomprehensible.
Cozy atmosphere in a beautiful location. Great card.
The lunch was good.
Very slow service on what should be there most important weekend of the year. When drying cutlery is more important than letting a customer pay, you have a problem.
To start with what was good: the appetizer was tasty and the chips were delicious.
Unfortunately, the wagyu beef was very tough, unable to get through with a knife, let alone with the teeth. I had to send it back against my habit and I got a better piece back 15 minutes later. Unfortunately, this was on a children's plate without anything. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. It is very annoying to send something back. Overall a very disappointing experience.
Like every year I walked the Airborne Walking Tour with my father and we usually end this with a beer on the square opposite Schoonoord. This year we went through (and many with us) because it is outrageous that a small beer in a plastic cup costs 4 (a large 6). You don't even pay this at a festival! So we had a beer elsewhere where we had a very nice ending of the Airborne.
Huge hospitality, excellent service, you feel welcome, at home and at ease!
Very tasty 3-course choice menu with choice of fish, meat or vegetarian. Matching wine was also served.
Stayed here many time ideal for the Airborne services. Food and rooms are very good and considerably cheaper than nearby hotels. Miranda and Sander are very good
mine hosts and very helpful about information about local activities. Also ideal for trips to Arnhem.
