The Grace Institute is a really fantastic organization that provides employment training and placement for young women in underserved populations throughout NYC. They do excellent work, and have a very high placement rate for their students. I am not affiliated with the Grace Institute at all, but I've had experience with coworkers who went through their programs, and they've all been very happy with the training they received.
It was a great place but honestly you learn everything when you're on the job training. Its good if you wanna brush up on your skills or want something underneath your belt. We had great employment services and instructors while I was there. Not sure if it's changed since then but other than that I had a great experience. Great for extra resources but nothing guaranteed
Grace Institute is not only a school, but a family & the environment is very welcoming & they push you to achieve all what you can.
I graduated from Gace, and it was an amazing experience in regards with what I learned and my peers.The instructors are great and the environment is very welcoming. The only thing that I wish I had a better experience with is with employment services aspect. The director of employment services attitude is ridiculous. She speaks to you as if you re trash. The tone she uses makes you feel as if you owe her something. There was a situation that occurred while completing an internship, and she completely dismissed my fellow classmates and I. After that I avoided talking to her at all cost and spoke to only the senior director and other empolyment specialist. You go there for specific reasons to find a job and for experience, but you graduated with no guarantee position. I know they try their best, but I feel like they missed the mark completely.
What an amazing place with resources just for women. What a wonderful thing something geared for the betterment of woman and woman only and I'm privileged to be apart of something so amazing!! Thank you so much grace.
I attended in the past, program was beneficial. I wasn't a fan of all the teachers and office staff at the time although by now I'm sure there is new staff. A couple teachers and office staff at the time were very arrogant and could use some customer service training themselves as well as organization skills.
The program is helpful, although some teachers were less then. Some teachers go off topic and go on and on about their history which during class is a waste of time.
A couple teachers were helpful and friendly and are interested in what the class is taking in from lessons. They are a bit to strict as if we are children in a parochial school.
What I took from this place are the lessons basically office and customer service skills. It was an okay experience not the best. Overall, 3 stars because of what you are learning is helpful. Minus 2 stars because some teachers and staff did not make it an enjoyable experience.
Grace has good intentions but it all falls thru with the staff. Never seen such a place so unorganized. They can't get a real schedule for their teachers. Students are always left hanging! They only have two teachers-how hard can this be? About half the class left after 4 weeks! Thank you for trying Grace, but all staff must be replaced-with the exception of Melissa who really holds the place to gather for now!

Grace institute has good intentions and only 2 of the teachers there seem to be knowledgeable on what they are doing. Shaun who teaches the PSR training and Carlos who teaches Microsoft Office. Other than that the staff is very off base and you graduate with hopes of getting something in the medical field but you don t. The job guy rather you take the first job he throws at you even if it s not something you want. Smh sorry I wasted my time here.
