Honest opinionated advice in reference to service of Computer Repair.

I have a malfunctioning printer. Called Epson, they said take it to Gorrell s. I called to double check the covid protocol and to make sure they would fix it, and after a lengthy conversation I was told it was most likely the logic board and to bring it in. Even given the price for the part and labor. After driving 20 minutes during our lunch break, I was told that the technician didn t want to work on it . Not that he couldn t, but he didn t WANT to. Claimed it was because the printer model I have doesn t screw together but snaps together, and if something breaks trying to take it apart or put it back together he s responsible for it. Fine, however, why was I directed twice to take it in? The woman who helped me was kind and offered to call epson to see if they could ship it, but after waiting 15 minutes for her to look it up I had to go back to work. I am now tasked with finding a new place to repair the printer (Update: I found one and the place gladly accepted my business). Completely furious at the time wasted and poor professionalism by the technician.

Have worked with Jim for over 25 years. He was there when we first started networking computers and has stayed up on technology the whole time. Great knowledgeable staff.
